Everyone was professional and helpful. It's a well oiled machine efficiently helping me with forms, giving me tests, meeting the doctor and getting me fitted for glasses.

The doctor was nice enough to schedule a closer appointment time. However it was the longest appointment ever, took closer to 3 hrs for a routine eye exam.

The wait was about one hour before I was seen by the technicians for a few tests. There are many rooms in there and I was moved a couple of times before I finally got to see Dr Werner. He didn'tspend too much time with me before he moved again to another patient leaving me in the room by myself. Then he would come back again two more times to do some quick checking me up again. I am not completely satisfied with the diagnosis as he didn't seem to pay attention on the things I told him .He didn't say much about the diagnosis. It seems like my problem to him is a small one but I am still experiencing some issues with my vision. No treatment was mentioned either. I know he has a lot of patients but wish that he would also care enough to listen because when I tried to talk to him, he was in a hurry to leave before I could even finish telling my symptoms. I think no matter how expert a doctor is , he should be compassionate towards his client.

Dr Werner spent literally a minute with me and I had to inquire him on the way out after he said that "everything is normal" just to understand whether it's true or not and what are the boundaries/limits of this "normality"(btw I do not have a perfect vision so by itself my understanding of "normality" can be different). I wouldn't recommend him - it's more like a conveyor line than a real doctor's visit.

Dr. Werner was very professional, down to earth and kind. My visit was informative; I learned a few new things about my eyes, picked out a new pair of glasses and have my return visit scheduled in a few months.

His staff needs more training. They do not know how to talk to people. They are not knowledgeable on insurance companies and how they work, at the front desk. The staff was very patient and helpful in finding the right pairof glasses. Going thru billing issues, even after I doubled checked to make sure I paid for eye exam before I left.

So I booked an appointment for my 3yr old because it says that they take children on the site, but they actually don't see 3yr olds. So we got evaluated but my daughter still has to be seen by a pediatricophthalmologist. So, extra copayment for me. While everyone was really nice, it still would have been nice not to have to waste time and money.

For the first time in a long time, I felt like I was in good hands for my eye care. I had a procedure for removal of a chelation and I was in and out in no time and healed verywell. The follow up was quick but thorough and very professional. I will go back to him.

Office seems large, there are a few doctors. An assistant is doing the basic eye exam, then Doctor Werner will see you for the actual eye exam. Examination is ok, with dilated pupils you are asked to settle the bill andlook and possible frames with lenses in the in-house optical store/corner. Which makes it more guessing as you can't see well with dilated pupils. Am not sure if all eye doctors have that procedure, as it was my first experience with an eye doctor... But I thought it was uncomfortable and awkward.

Everyone in Dr. Werner's office was very friendly, a huge plus in my book. I felt as though I was treated with excellent care and consideration. The only thing that was a bit frustrating was the game of musical chairs theyseem to play when you are actually seen by a doctor. I was told to switch rooms six times to perform a different test/examination in each one, which was a bit cumbersome. Perhaps there's an easier way?

Since moving to New York a couple of months ago, I have been exceptionally pleased with the health professionals that I have seen. My visit with Marc Werner, however, is an exception. Dr. Werner was too sharp and direct when heasked questions and seemed impatient at times (perhaps this is understandable considering the fact that he was seeing about five patients at the same time). I greatly appreciate when medical professionals take the time to briefly inform me how and why the tests they perform might rule out certain diagnoses. I was disappointed that Dr. Werner barely did this. I was also a bit put off and was initially confused by the fact that, when examining my eyes, Dr. Werner used nonverbal cues (like pointing brusquely at the ceiling as an indication that I should look up) instead of simply asking me to move my eyes in particular directions. At the end of my appointment I was asked to schedule a follow-up in six weeks without being told why I needed a follow up (I see no reason to have one). I will most likely not be returning to this office.

Dr. Werner is really great - I have been coming to him for years. He trained at Hopkins, and Wilmer is really one of the top institutions in the world. He always gives an honest answer about what he's looking forwhen he does an exam, and he has great bedside manner. I think he makes his patients feel comfortable being there and even though it's just chit chat, it's fun to talk to him. He does talk about lasik a lot...every year I come, he asks me to consider getting lasik. Gallo (is that how you spell it?), who always does my exam for contacts, is also amazing. He is really helpful and straightforward with payments, as well, explaining what is covered by insurance and what is not. He also helps you figure out what you need (new glasses or more contacts) and which deal is better based on where you are in your insurance cycle (e.g. if glasses are only covered every two years but contacts are every year).

Dr. Werner was very nice, however I waited 1 hour to even be seen and then I was shuffled in and out of rooms while about 6 other patients came and went. I was not pleased about that, the office didnot call to say he was running an hour behind either. It felt like a carosel once I was in the back people moving in and out of different rooms. Lots of chaos.

Everything went well with the doctor, but there was a misunderstanding with the office and zocdoc appointment details. You can use either medical or vision insurance for these check-ups. I thought I had specifically checked off that i wantedto use my vision insurance when I made the appointment through zocdoc because it would have been a free visit. Apparently either I didn't actually do it, didn't have the option to switch it, or the office messed it up, but I got billed for my visit and the office wouldn't let me change it. The doctors were great, but the woman at the front desk seemed to not care about anything and spent most of the time on her cellphone chatting. She was being very forceful with my having to pay the bill and not even trying to check to see if the insurance could be switched. How rude!

I went to Dr. Werner late last year for a puntal plug. It was very successful. I went back in February to get a replacement. This time it fell out of my eye as soon as I got home. I wentback the next day but had to see a colleague bc Dr. Werner was in a different office. His colleague could not find the proper plug to use. I went back a third time to see Dr. Werner, he put a plug in and assured me "this one isn't going anywhere". In a couple of hours the plug was sticking out of my tear duct and irritating my eye terribly. I called the office and asked the doctor "What now? What's our plan B?" He answered "There is no Plan B, we've tried everything." Today I went to a new doctor, had a punctual plug put in, and everything is perfect. Do you want to go to a doctor with no Plan B?
