The facility, support team, and x-ray process were all nice, but my appointment with the doctor seemed rushed. He spoke over me most of the time, and assumed he knew what my problem was before I even finished describing it. I didn’t feel I had a real opportunity to describe my pain/symptoms/concerns in depth – had my injury been worse, I absolutely would’ve immediately booked another appointment elsewhere for a second opinion.

Easiest doctor visit I ever had. Super quick, staff is extremely friendly and doctor’s bedside manner is super professional. Feel way better than when I walked in so I definitely am happy with the results.

Nice doctor, but my visit was too quick. I still have a ton of questions and other things I needed him to see. I went in with four issues that I wanted checked out, but I was told he could only review two. So now I have to make another appointment.

He was fantastic! I had read his reviews and saw that he was a really great provider. My reason for visiting was that I suspected I had two ganglionic cyst. He took a look at it and refereed me straight to his colleague who did my surgery. Dr. Mendez is very personable. You will enjoy your visit.

I've seen Dr. Mendez 3 times now and he's become my go-to for anything ortho. To start, my experience with the front desk (I go to Lenox Hill location) is always great. I don't wait long, they're friendly, and helpful. When I see Dr. Mendez, he takes his time with me and assessing what's going on, asks questions, and describes his thoughts. He's happy to go through scans with me, etc. He then describes numerous options and has always proposed surgery last. With each option he'll describe pros, cons, price and timeline so I'm fully informed. I very much recommend this Doctor and his team.

He was very thoughtful and thorough. He gave me several different options for treatment suggesting that the most conservative path would be the best place to begin for my situation -which I appreciated! Def a five star Dr.!

I liked the doctor, however it’s small, and I think it’s only one doctor, so the wait time was a little long.

Dr M-Z continues to be extremely knowledgeable and encouraging with the feedback he provides regarding the knee surgery he performed on me several months ago. As with almost all docs nowadays, he communicates at a rapid-fire pace, so it is important to pay close attention when he is speaking. He is responsive, though, to questions -- and to requests to repeat himself if he goes too fast for keeping up. I am highly satisfied with the results I am seeing from my surgery (combined with personal COMMITMENT to the program of physical therapy!), and with the care I am receiving from Dr M-Z.

Dr. Teo is world class, top notch man. From the front office women to the the appointment with Dr. Teo it was a seamless appointment. He addresses the issues very directly has a wonderful bedside manner and outlines a recovery plan after explaining the issue. Overall incredible experience! Obviously brilliant but very down to earth, and makes you feel very comfortable!

My problem is less with Dr. Mendez than it is with NY Orthopedics. The entire group is awful. Every time I go I need to give them my insurance information all over again with a new referral because they constantly misfile it. There is not adequate communication between branches or even between doctors and admins. If Mendez practices elsewhere go there but otherwise stay AWAY from NY Orthopedics.

Best Doctor in NewYork. Explains everything but doesn't make you feel dumb. I have never been more comfortable in a medical setting then I was with him. I have seen three other orthos who all recommended surgery but Dr. Mendez was the only one who actually explained what would happen. Down the road. 3 months after surgery with him I am back to running and boxing! He called me after surgery and always made me feel comfortable. I can't recommend him enough!

This was a remarkable experience. Beyond prompt and efficient. Charming doctor, no nonsense no drama. I had an examination of knee, a determination of procedure, an injection and then an X-ray on a different floor. I was seen at 10:05 for my 10 am and out of the building by 10:45. I could ask no more and am thrilled with the results!

I set up time with Dr. Mendez as I have been experiencing extreme leg weakness in the past months, brought on most likely by running too often. I'm not too knowledgable of different specialties of doctors, but I assumed an Orthopedic Surgeon would be a doctor who was related to my issue. This was not the case, however Dr. Mendez still spent his time with me to brainstorm what it could be and possible next steps. Though there was nothing he could do personally, he still showed concern for me and wanted to help me diagnose the issue that has been plaguing me. He recommended a doctor to follow up with, and then as I was about to leave the office he chased me down and pulled me back into his office. In the few minutes I was checking out, he was spending time researching the medications I have been taking, and he believes that one of the medications might be linked to the issue. While we are yet to see if this turns out to be true, what matters most to me is the amount of cared he showed, and for that reason I must recommend Dr. Mendez.
