Doctor Beer is very thorough and friendly. I felt like he took to time to really understand my medical history.
I did my annual physical check in April, and today is 6/22 I still didn't got my blood test results back, I've been calling the office multiple times over the last couple weeks, got redirected many many times, and they still didn't give my any information about what went wrong. This is so frustrating.
Dr Beer is very friendly, cheerful, and is very thorough and professional.
I selected Dr. Beer and his practice as my primary care physician because I was looking for a PCP who looks as my health holistically. He and his team have delivered. His annual physicals are comprehensive and uncovered issues that my prior PCPs had not. I feel very comfortable in being completely honest and open about my lifestyle and family history. It's a huge disservice to yourself if you can't be entirely honest with your doctor, how can s/he help you stay healthy otherwise? Their patient portal is good but the service needs to work out some kinks. Preventative health care is all about staying healthy and he makes it easy and thorough.
Great. Very thorough - both the assistant who took down a lot of information before the doctor came in, and the doctor himself. If appointments sometimes run late, it's because the doctor actually spends time with you rather than rushing you out in ten minutes.
I have been seeing Doctor Beer for my whole adult life. I think he's incredibly kind and gentle and stays up to date on all the new medical research. He LOVES his supplements but just feel free to say no to it like I always do (or if you're into it -- write down the names and check online --sometimes there are sales!). I feel like Doctor Beer really looks at the whole picture and doesn't push drugs unless necessary, which I appreciate. He also takes his time and really tries to understand your problems/what's causing it. He also has no issue referring you to a specialist if he feels like he can't fully address your concern.
Dr. Beer is the ultimate all around Physician anyone could hope to see. Terrific bedside manner, perfect mix of Alternative and mainstream medicine. Takes a Complete & thorough history followed by extremely thoughtful testing and diagnosis with treatment plan. It is always a collaborative process and he listens. If you have been to other doctors and not gotten to the root of your issue, see him and if you follow his instructions, you will get well again.
He was friendly, thorough and approachable with questions and concerns. I felt that I was able to ask questions and have a conversation about what is happening for me to create concern about my health.
Reassuring and thorough.
I thought Dr. Beer was great. I don't like how his front office handles payments though--they try to force you to pay upfront even though my insurance requests that everything goes through insurance first.
Friendly, informative and efficient. Cindy is an excellent doctor.
Great doctor, seems very smart. Wonderful bedside manner, great listener and asks important questions. Love the lab work that they're doing - much more extensive than most other doctors. I also appreciate the functional approach. The only downsides were 1) the excruciatingly long wait time: they didn't call my name until 30 mins after my appt time & I didn't see the Dr. until 45 mins after my appt time, and 2) they were unnecessarily pushing their supplements.
He always seems interested in helping me figure what is going on.
Doctor was spot on from the reviews... he had a very good bedside manner and he listened to all my symptoms, concerns. The review regarding the wait time was also spot on. I waited over an hour and a half to see him for 10 minutes... I am not sure if the good outweighs the bad yet... waiting over an hour while being sick is very painful.
He is phenomenal, smart, hard-working, and kind.
Has been my doctor for many years and I love him!
I liked Dr. Beer. However, I was made to wait for 75 minutes, and that too in the middle of the work day. I had requested his staff to let me know in advance if there's a delay and they never called. Please call his office in advance before going to your appt!
He is very thorough and really listens. I was a first time patient and he took down all my symptoms and looked over all the blood work and reports I had brought.
I really like this practice. Dr. Beer is very thorough in his examination. He provides excellent supplemental information and recommendations. The wait times are very problematic. It's difficult to schedule appointments during the work week when the wait times are so unpredictable.
He was the nicest and most thorough doctor I have ever met.
It was great! Office staff, physician's assistant, and the doctor were all friendly, helpful, and patient. They explained things clearly, took care of my paperwork efficiently, and made me feel cared for.
Waiting room time was less than desirable, but I like Dr. Beer.
I spent most of my time on my initial consultation with Dr. Beer's assistant, who I have to say was the best of any I've had in taking down all the details of my medical history. She also did an initial examination, and had excellent manners in dealing with my addled, drippy-nose state from a severe cold. Dr. Beer knew exactly the appropriate questions to quickly grasp what tests had been done and what were needed, which I have found is very rare. I look forward to working with him as my PCP.
He's an excellent M.D., and I would have no hesitation recommending him to my family, friends and colleagues.
This was my second visit, both for annual physicals. Dr. Beer is very thorough. He has an easy demeanor and happily answers any questions or concerns. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a good GP.
Dr. Beer has a nice manner, but his appointments run very far behind schedule, and his receptionist is surly and unhelpful.
Really nice guy and thorough! Would definitely go again.
Dr. Beer is very thorough and thoughful. He took his time with me, asked a lot of questions, and seems to have a very good sense of medicine for the entire person, not just a specific condition. He also seems to have a plan in mind for treatment. He doesn't just send you packing with a prescription and "good luck." Very happy I found him.
It was a long wait, but Dr Beer was apologetic, has an excellent bedside manner and was very thorough.
Very professional. Spend adequate time with me and asked many questions about my medical history and health records. The doctor really came across as someone who cares.
He's the best doctor I've had. Patient, listens and is efficient.
Dr Beer is always so thorough yet he also takes the time to listen to me and gives me great recommendations for doctors and specialists.
Dr. Beer took a very thorough family history, and was very careful to listen to my story to try and get to the bottom of what was going on, not just alleviate symptoms. This isn't surprising, given his interest in functional medicine, and was what I was hoping for, after seeing another regular doctor who only was concerned with alleviating symptoms.
Compassionate and dedicated, knowledgable doctor. His staff prompts him to move on, keeping him on time.
It was a great first impression.
Very thorough and easy to talk to.
Excellent doctor! Professional, attentive and caring. Thrilled that I found him!
Dr. Beer was extremely thorough and the appt was not rushed.
Perfect and always a positive experience.
Super nice guy. Listens and didn't seem rushed, which is unusual these days.
He's very thorough, personable, a good listener. His focus is on prevention, which I appreciate.
I'm torn between giving Dr. Beer the glowing praise he deserves, and keeping quiet so that he doesn't become too in-demand to book appointments with. His beside manner was boundlessly kind and patient, his GP knowledge and examination through, and his office very efficient. I've never felt as at ease and as well tended to by a doctor since my childhood family practitioner. What a find.
Dr Beer and his staff are very thorough and listen to your issues. They work with you to really get to the bottom of your health concerns. I am very happy with this office.
The front desk could have been a little more friendly, but it was better than some other offices I'd been to. The attending nurse was VERY pleasant. Dr. Beer was very nice, relatively thorough. My only gripe is that they upsold their vitamins and didn't give alternative options in terms of diet changes that could provide more vitamin and minerals for my body. I'd like to see more natural, diet-based suggestions instead of more pills.
Absolutely amazing, have seen Dr. Beer multiple times. Each time he has been very professional.
No waiting, very personable, attentive and thorough.
He was very personable and friendly and so was all his staff I encountered. Will be going back to see him in the future.
I have been all over looking for a doctor that I felt comfortable with. He was a great listener and I could see him thinking as I spoke. He took his time. I already emailed a Rec to all my friends in NYC.
Everything went smoothly. I was in and out within an hour without any waiting.
Great guy. Really friendly and made feel completely comfortable
He really listens and gives you comfort. Asks you lots of questions and makes you feels like you're the only patient in the world. You leave the office really satisfied and with hope.
Dr. Beer was very friendly and professional. He had a genuine interest in my health history that showed more attention to detail than I'm used to seeing.
It was my first visit to Dr. Beer, and first one in a couple years. He was very personal, asked me what I wanted checked out. As long as I am living/working in the area he will be my primary doctor.
He was great!! Extremely thorough and helpful!! Highly recommended!
Dr Beer is great. He is very personable, thorough, and patient.
Dr. Beer did an excellent job of recommending both medical and non-medical/lifestyle treatment. Highly recommended.
He took the time to explain things in a way I could understand, and was very helpful answering all my questions. I did not feel rushed at all, and he was very friendly. He sent the prescription to my pharmacy directly while I was still there. His staff was also friendly. I would recommend him.
Great experience. Warm, professional, and knowledgeable. I'm happy to have found my new doctor.
Very knowledgeable for the most part, he seemed a little shocked about some things. He's very friendly, but the wait times were crazy, and his practitioner wasn't the greatest. Everything is electronic, which is great.
Went in for an annual physical exam and I am very satisfied. Not only the doctor, but the MA and the person that handled my paperwork. Absolutely amazing job. Will be back soon!
Great doctor, spends a lot of time with you and is very thorough. Staff was also great. Will definitely go back again.
I love visiting Dr. Beer. He specializes in functional medicine, and for me, that's incredibly important. As a functional medicine doctor, Dr. Beer's goal is always to find the root cause of the problem, rather than throw medication at you for no reason. I'm a little down, though. My company made an awesome move to make sure that all employees are 100% covered (so we don't pay anything for our insurance), but we switched providers. As such, Dr. Beer is out-of-network for me, and I can't really afford to visit him anymore. Other than that, he's a caring and truly wonderful doctor. (His receptionist tends to be quite bit rude, but he's wonderful. Don't let that get to you.)
Wonderful doctor! Kind and personable.
He was attentive and listened to what I had to say. Felt comfortable and taken care of.. Good choice ZocDoc!
Dr. Beer is very thorough and takes the necessary time to get to know you and your lifestyle in order to give you the best advice, diagnosis, and any additional information necessary. Highly Highly recommend him!
Dr. Beer was friendly and took the time to answer my questions. I would definitely recommend him to others.
