Great right to the point.
Didn't listen to what I had to say at all, even prior medical history and refused to give me documentation I needed for school unless I made a followup appointment. Probably spent less than 5 minutes with me total after spending an hour providing history to the assistant. Totally useless and a complete waste of time. If you have legitimate sleep problems, this doctor will just give you the same advice you could read from a magazine. He won't take you seriously. Also found the office staff to be very rude and didn't tell me they don't take credit cards AFTER I arrived. Avoid for your own sake and money.
Excellent. Both ancillary personell and doctor were wonderful
Dr Shukla was awesome! I go to the allergy doctor every spring and come out with very unhelpful solutions. Dr Shukla explained in layman's terms what was going on so I understood. I didn't realize how many of my symptoms were interconnected and he helped me to understand. Although, Dr Shukla was great - the organization of the practice could be much better. I wasn't told ahead of time that co-pays are cash only. That would have been really helpful to know instead of asking me to head back out in less than 20 degree weather for cash. They also ask for your credit card information to keep on file, which is super strange for a place that tells me they won't accept credit cards for copays.
One of the worst experiences I've had with a doctor
Great doctor listens to your concerns. Nurse Darlene always very helpful, amazing at her job. Tech Elina is wonderful.
Listens to patients. Together we formed a sleep strategy
waste of time!
Friendly staff, make you feel comfortable. He
He is a very good doctor. Parking was bad
Was seen quickly. Very nice. Referred for a sleep study. Kind of expensive for a referral.
Their Manhattan office is legitimately disgusting (McDonald's fries on the floor, carpeting ripping away, overall very very dilapidated.) I haven't even been in a 20 mani/pedi nail salon as grungy. I would overlook this if I had a good experience with him but nope. I scheduled a sleep study -- adjusted my meds for 10 days beforehand to make sure the results were accurate, only to NEVER HEAR THE RESULTS FROM THEM. They said it would take 2 weeks -- this was back in first week of June. It is now OCTOBER. I tried calling back and each time they told me the results would be coming, that they had just renovated their office and the files weren't there, blah blah blah. Other times that I've tried to call, he never seems to be in and no one knows where he is. Basically I'm pretty sure they lost my sleep study info even though they collected payment from my insurance for it. I seriously don't understand how he has good reviews on here and it honestly makes me doubt the validity of other well-reviewed docs on here too.
The office scheduled a sleep study and flat out lied that they received pre-approval from my insurance. The office was very sketchy and I do not recommend.
He was clearly experienced and very quick to pin point some issues for further consideration. Initial impression is great, would know better in a few weeks.
the visit was good but i had a problem understanding him
Very thorough and attentive, made sure to listen to all my concerns and address them. Very quick and painless process getting in to the office, being seen, and scheduled for a next visit. The staff was also very friendly.
Pleasant as always.
I wasn't impressed with this doctor. The wait was extremely long and I didn't feel that the doctor took his time to understand my issues. I felt rushed and definitely did not feel comfortable with him. He seemed knowledgable but I don't like being rushed and felt that this appointment was a list of my time and money (co-pay) he can be great for someone else but I personally will not co back,
The doctor is nice, but rushes through visits. The office staff handling records, orders and insurance approval is awful and completely mishandled my case.
Very pleasant and understood my current situation. I look forward to working with him.
Dr. Shukla knew a lot and was able to explain possible causes of my sleep issues. He set up future tests to get to the root of the issue and see if it is related to anything else going on.
Professional and cares for patient. Sees me while secretary checks my insurance. Listen to patients.
Dr. Shukla was very helpful and informative. He even gave me his personal cell phone number I could call to follow up on how I was reacting to the medications he prescribed. Overall, I'm very happy with the visit!!
