Dr. Shah is everything a doctor should be. My husband had surgery on his shoulder with Dr. Shah in December and we have been so impressed with the care and compassion we have received. The office is fantastic and Dr. Shah is personable, compassionate, he takes his time, and he's a great listener. He's also very conservative about the decision to have surgery - which we appreciate. He had us try every other solution before resorting to surgery. Can't say enough good things about Dr. Shah!
It was ok but I have to do MRI then come back to get the results also to see which kind of treatment I need for my knee
Very professional, as always. Be sure to ask questions when you are with the doc as he didn't tell me what to do about the pain until I asked later, after leaving his office.
Definitely recommend Dr Shah very accommodating understood exactly what he was saying spoke in laymen terms
Dr. Shah is very good but as with most doctors in NYC, very quick in turning patients around. He takes a quick assessment, just says what the issue is and that's it. It would be great if he took the time to tell you what may have caused the issue and general avoidance or explain the issue in more detail. But other than that, he appears competent and has a good bedside manner.
He seemed very knowledgeable and gave me alternatives to surgery which i liked.
Not only Dr. Shah but the entire NYU facility and the entire staff were amazing. SO efficient and kind. I can HIGHLY recommend.
Dr. Shah was very personable and easy to talk to. I appreciated the time he took to speak with me. He was encouraging about my recovery progress and also gave me a clear view of how to manage my expectations going forward. I'd highly recommend him to anyone looking for an orthopedist in the New York City area.
Wait time was long, and they weren't able to use the forms that I filled out through Zocdoc. But very professional and high end looking place. People are friendly.
Excellent. Knowledgeable, easy to talk to. I appreciated his sending me for x-ray's (two floors up in the same bldg) and his recommendations based on my lifestyle and activity level.
I was very impressed with the high level of professionalism and expertise that I experienced from Dr. Shah and his staff during my initial visit.
Very professional, and honest. Trustworthy and gave me options, and I would highly recommend.
We have been seeing Dr. Shah for almost 2 years and are continually impressed with the efficiency of the office, the quality of his care, and his compassion. Very willing to take his time and help educate. Great doctor.
This medical organization has the most efficient system for patients I've ever seen. So far so good. I have a follow up visit. for now, I would highly recommend this office. Dr. Shah was attentive and knowledgeable.
I thought he was really good. And he made me laugh. Two thumbs up.
I feel like I'm in good hands with Dr. Shah from the tests he orders to the procedures he performs.
Wow. Dr. Shah is a great doctor. No wait time, efficient, friendly, informative. It was the perfect visit. Waiting on follow up care with confidence instead of the usual dread. Great staff and very professional environment.
The staff is very professional and efficient. Dr. Shah was incredibly personable and informative. Highly recommended!
Great doctor, helped me comeback after a running stress fracture.
Dr. Shah was personable, direct, and what I liked best about him was his conservative approach.
I was amazed that I was directed to the doctors examining room right away and Dr. Shah walked in just a few moments after I was seated. Usually, a visit to an orthopedist's office is something I dread and, as strange as it may seem, I view this as an almost pleasant experience. The doctor is very personable, patient, and efficient. Believe all the positive reviews.
Very professional and communicates well. He is also conservative in his approach which I find very valuable.
Dr. Shah was very helpful and caring. He even took the time to draw on a piece of paper so I could better understand how I had gotten my knee hurt in the first place! lol
Knowledgeable, informative, personal.
A very knowledgable and polite doctor, I would definitely recommend.
Approachable and knowledgeable
Very professional. Knows his stuff. I've had numerous sports related injuries and have got to several different orthopedists over the years and Dr. Shah is one of the best.
Professional staff and DR was right into action and very approachable. Highly recommended.
I was pleasantly surprised! This is one of the best appointments I've had in NYC. The NYU center is a bit of a maze, but everyone was very helpful and friendly in directing me to where I needed to be. No one part of the process took very long, and I waited at most 10 minutes between seeing different nurses and technicians. Expect to be greeted by several nurses, receptionists, xray techs, etc.
I were pleased and very happy with dr shah and everyone working in the office.
Professional, timely, great facilities.
The efficiency of NYU was impeccable and Dr. Shah was great!
Very informative and to the point! Presented me with options and we proceeded!
Excellent experience overall - thoughtful, kind, attentive, and patient.
Dr Shah is an excellent surgeon with a terrific "bedside manner." He's never rushed, will take all the time you need, and does the job right! Highly recommended!
Dr. Shah was very pleasant and professional, dealt with my medical issues and sent me for all the necessary testing. Surgery wasn't needed and I appreciated his honesty and conservative approach to treatment.
He's very good. I met him when my wife went to him several months ago. I thought I'd use him if the need ever arose. Wouldn't you know it, it did - and I was true to my word
I saw Dr. Shah today about a shoulder problem. He was really understanding, respectful, and listened patiently while I explained my symptoms. He then very patiently described my options for treatment. I highly recommend Dr. Shah!
Really, really good...was quick, thorough and to the point--hopefully getting my MRI soon.
Great Service. Very happy, thank you so much!!!
NYU Medical Center is very modern and digital, which I love. But the massive office can be a bit of a carousel—multiple check-in desks, multiple floors. Dr Shah is friendly and efficient, if a little dissmisive. If you need lots of feedback and don't like repeating your symptoms to multiple nurses before seeing a DR, then NYU might not be for you.
I had to see Dr. Shah a total of three times for treatment for a broken shoulder. His practice is run efficiently and smoothly. I never waited more than 10 minutes for X-rays and to see him. I very much hope to never have a need to see an orthopedist again but if I do I will go back to Dr. Shah.
The office staff was well organized; service was quick and friendly. Dr. Shah was friendly and professional.
I have seen Dr. Shah three times and all three times my visits have been, quick, easy, and smooth.
NYU is one of the worst hospitals and this doctor wasn't one of the friendliest either. I wouldn't recommend going here unless you really have to. I only went because I needed a second opinion on doing knee surgery. Which he did say I needed. I just wish the wait time wasn't so long and that he was friendlier
Very good doctor. Office is well run.
Dr. Shah was very friendly and informative. The office was very well organized and didn't wait long at all. My highest recommendation!
Friendly, seemed to diagnose me properly
I saw Dr. Shah today for a broken shoulder. The office is run efficiently. I was able to download and fill out forms prior to my visit, which saved quite a bit of time when checking in at the office. I saw the doctor within 10 minutes of my arrival and xrays were easy. Just two floors up from the office and the films were emailed to Dr.Shah before I was out of the xray room.
Upon walking in the door Dr. Shah immediately made me feel at ease, as if I have known him for some time! He was extremely thorough and was able to confidently diagnose the problem I was having with my shoulder. Dr. Shah comprehensively explained the issue, my treatment options and addressed fully any questions I had. I felt confident in his suggestions and would certainly recommend Dr. Shah to others!
Dr. Shah is a very friendly, courteous and personable individual. When I arrived on site at 333 E 38th St., I had to go through security and pick up a visitors pass. Once I arrived on the 4th floor, I had a brief wait and had to register with the front desk. From there, I was sent to another around the corner who took more information and ensured that my documents were all online. I was then sent to another desk across from that one where I had to pay my copay. From there, I was sent to the waiting room of Dr. Shal. From when I entered the building, it took approximately 15 minutes to get to this point. I waited another 5 minutes and then was called into an examination room where I was asked more questions by an Aide and then another Nurse or Dr. Because I needed Xrays, I was then sent upstairs where it was pretty fast; approximately 15 minutes there and back to Dr. Shah's waiting room. After another 5 minutes, I was called back into an examination room. Dr. Shah came in after approximately 7-8 minutes. He appeared to be real professional and knew what he was doing (knee pain).
Knowledgable gets the ball rolling quick he was able to get me X-rays the same day and an MRI by the end of the week! yeah my old doctor took two months no MRI and still in pain
Excellent as always. Hands down - this is THE most efficient medical practice in the city. They were WAITING FOR US when we arrived - and we were early! Kind, conscientious, thorough care. Great bedside manner. Every other office in the city needs to replicate whatever it is this center is doing. It's a fantastic patient experience. Thank-you!
he was easy to talk to and very thorough. they do everything there, so no waiting and scheduling an X-ray or MRI.
He was very nice and made me feel like we were going to work together to fix the problem. As he said, one step at a time. I really feel like everything is going to be ok with my knee now.
The good doctor is affable and to the point. The visit was pleasant (injury aside).
He explained what he thought was wrong and made sure to answer all of my questions. The office staff are excellent.
The best. Dr. Shah treats my husband - and I was so impressed with his office and with him that, when my own knees started giving me trouble, I made an appointment right away. The office is so efficient and well-run - and Dr. Shah is friendly, compassionate and takes time to answer all your questions. Highly recommend.
I accompanied my husband to his appointment this morning with Dr. Shah, and I could not have been more impressed. The office runs like a well-oiled machine. SO efficient. SO friendly. SO on top of absolutely everything. It's how all healthcare facilities should be. Dr. Shah was kind, personable, thorough, and took time to explain everything. His physician's assistant, Dave, was equally as helpful and patient. Dr. Shah makes me wish I needed an orthopedist for myself and not just my husband! Highly recommend.
great visit, looking forward to next visit
Most time efficient dr office visit I've ever been to. Practice is extremely well organized. Was my first visit w/ Dr. Shah, went very well.
The visit was fine, but I wish I left with more of an understanding of my condition, and possible steps to take right away to work on improving my condition. I left with a prescription for physical therapy, which is good and I needed, I just would have liked the doctor to give me more clarification on the issue and maybe a basic exercise I could start on right away. This probably would have taken 3-5 mins more of the doctors time.
It would not be fair for me to recommend or not recommend Dr. Shah. I ended up not really needing his services because I had a neck injury rather than a shoulder injury. However, there are a few things worth noting. I would give very high marks to the facility and Dr. Shah's staff. I have never been to a medical facility that runs as smooth as this one. It would not be completely fair to rate Dr. Shah poorly because my problem ended up not being as serious as I originally expected. When I first sustained my injury, I thought I had done some serious damage to my shoulder and found out during my appointment that it was a less serious neck injury. Once Dr. Shah diagnosed that it was a neck problem, everything felt very rushed and he seemed very eager to push me out of the door. Also, he answered his phone during our appointment which I think is unprofessional. However, it was a call from his family who were there to visit him. This seemed to be further fuel to rush me out of there. Perhaps, he would have been more attentive to me if I did have a shoulder injury. He could be a very good doctor, but I just did not get a chance to see it.
He was polite and but upfront, definition of professional
Impressive doctor. Intelligent but able to explain my knee problems in a way I could easily understand. Not at all an alarmist. Discussed plans and next steps and really spent time making sure I understood everything he was telling me. Great manner, great relationship with his staff(who also were lovely)and overall great experience.
My visit was great , the doctor and the staff were Compassionate and Professional..
Super thorough, super knowledgeable, very helpful, very professional, and very friendly. Will only see him for any future problems.
The offices and facilities are modern, clean, super organized, and fully digital. Dr. Shah was attentive and great, looking forward to future appointments with him.
This office runs like a well-oiled machine.
I appreciated that Dr. Shah explained everything to me, I came away fully understanding my situation.
He was so helpful, warm and was able to diagnose my condition very quickly. I have a high standard when it comes to bedside manner and attentiveness. Dr. Shah exceeded those standards with ease. The only negative thing about the visit was standing 30 minute wait because I was a new patient.
I would highly recommend Dr. Shah. The office/ NYU Langone is great and high-tech, and Dr. Shah makes an effort to get to know all of his patients. He takes the time to make personal phone calls to check up between appointments, and he is readily available via email if questions arise. Overall, a very good experience with Dr. Shah- he made my knee surgery go as well as it could have possibly gone!
visit was great...professional staff, great facilities and modern equipment. definitely would recommend.
Dr. Shah was very efficient, informative and professional. You have to take a minor extra step to ask relevant questions but aside from that very minor point - the experience was excellent. I was also very impressed and pleased with the very professional, prompt and polite service at all stages of my visit to Langone Medical Center and would unreservedly recommend it to anyone.
I went in due to a knee injury that had healed but left some residual discomfort and some inflammation as well as an odd hardening of either tissue or bone fragment around my knee-cap. Dr. Shah and everyone at the NYU Langone facility were wonderful, professional and efficient. The facility was clean, organized and well run. It was my first time there and I'm normally not a fan of large hospitals/ medical facilities, etc. (well, what patient is?!) but I felt at ease and in good hands. Dr. Shah was personable and chatted to keep me at ease and dealt with my questions and concerns with extreme competence. His MA, and PA were equally friendly and everyone really seemed to love their job and want to be there. I was whisked in and out of x-rays and the results were read immediately. I walked out reassured and would not hesitate to return if I ever needed an orthopedic opinion again!
He is wonderful doctor. He seems so friendly and respectful. His bedside manner is impeccable. His office at the NYU langone center is state of art. You are in good hands when you are with Dr. Shah. Nuff said.
One of the most well managed Hospitals in the country. I think they should get 6 sigma for efficiency purposes. If you have an appointment, the doctor see's you immediately. He suspected something and sent me to have an X-Ray taken immediately. Was back in doctor's office with the report in 10 mins. All the nurses and support staff were very nice, but extremely efficient as well.
Dr. Shah was very efficient, helpful and professional. The facility itself was excellent and I was checked in, seen by the doctor, sent for x-rays and treated all within an hour. Everyone was exceptionally polite and professional and made the visit a very pleasant process.
I was very happy with the doctor and the NYU staff as a whole. I had x-rays done first and it was very quick. I waited the longest to see the doctor and it was at most 15 minutes. He listened to my concerns and explained very clearly what he believes is wrong before scheduling an MRI.
Dr. Shah is great! The NYU Langone facility is also super high-tech and well-managed. Dr. Shah is easy to contact- either by phone or email- and answers questions thoroughly.
Early to judge, but so far Dr. Shah has been great. We'll see if the diagonisis ends up working out.
Doctor was excellent. Straight talk. However, you need to get there one hour earlier if new patient for all the preliminaries at NYU. lrerkl
he gave me no more help or solutions than I had in the first place of walking in the office.
Dr. Shah was great.
