I was at the office for over an hour and probably saw the doctor for less than five minutes in total. Parts of the office feel commercial and gimmicky as they have you watch a news spot on Dr. Friedman doing a particular procedure. It would have been nicer to feel like it was a conversation rather than him talking at the patient for the bulk of it. Perhaps the visit is different with other doctors, but the rest of the staff were friendly.
Was pleased , good patient care
I found Dr. Friedman to be both nice and knowledgeable.
I have never experienced such a pleasant visit. From the reception desk to the X-ray representative, it was was great. Highly recommended.
Dr. Michael is a wonderful man. I always get the impression that he hears me and really cares. He has an excellent support staff that allows him to be at his best. They are always nice and helpful to me. He has everything in his office nevessary for diagnosis, which includes a scope for ears and nose as well as a CT scanner and his own audiologists and allergists. He also fixes acid reflux and sleep apnea. I intend to see him about my acid reflux on my next visit.
Would high recommend Dr. Friedman to any patient needing help with ENT or sleep issues
Went to a sleep Doctor 3 years ago. That doctor didn't bother to look down my nose. Dr Freidman did and told me I had a slight deviated septum. I was able to see it on the monitor of his camera view. Wow...that explains a lot. I like that I'm being offered options rather than just pushing CPAP. Wish I would have found Chicago ENT 3years ago.
Great staff and a great visit overall!
Great. He and staff are very professionals
friendly & knowledgable staff, everything was very efficient.
Excellent initial visit.
I have been dealing with a severe sinus infection for 30 days now. Horrible face and head pain 24/7. I had previously been to 2 other doctors and the emergency room over the course of 30 days, all of which netted zero results. Dr. Freidman immediately made me feel like he could help.. Asked the right questions and actually listened to what I had to say as well. He started a treatment program immediately and we've scheduled follow up visits to track progress. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this is finally going to fix the problem. Only time will tell, but I do have confidence that I am finally with someone who both cares and can actually help. Dan M.
I am so exceedingly impressed with the quality of care at Chicago ENT. I have visited both the Halsted and Skokie offices, which are well lit and comfortable, as far as doctor's offices go. The receptionists are quick and kind, though one woman couldn't answer all my questions, she assured me that she would have a more senior staff member call me back. Dr. Friedman himself is an excellent, caring doctor with the best bedside manner I've ever experienced. He has treated other members of my family and his patience, attentiveness and calm personality are unmatched. I would recommend him without any reservation. To those who complain about fees, I would cite the state of our healthcare system and the fact that Dr. Friedman is a specialist. I have never been surprised by any charges I received. I hope to not need his services again, but should someone I know need an ENT he is the first doctor I could gladly suggest.
He was kind and a good listener. Helpful understand and guiding to the process and a joy to speak with.
He was very personable and did an excellent job of describing the treatment options available.
Good bedside manner, saw me though I got lost and was 20 minutes late, scoped my nose and it was almost painless. Kind and listened to my concerns. Very impressed.
Everyone from the moment I walked in to the time I left was very professional. All my questions and concerns were addressed.
Dr Friedman was wonderful. His nurse was very warm and friendly and his office staff very competent.
Excellent physician and streamlined office. I was examined and had the required diagnostic test done (CT scan, hearing test, nasal endoscopy), the diagnosis and the next steps planned with Dr. Friedman and scheduled all within 1 hour and a half. Very thorough and efficient.
The whole experience was pleasant and reassuring. Was not pressured into taking any tests. The staff and doctor listened to my concerns/questions and answered respectfully.
Dr. Friedman was very pleasant and Professional. I was a little nervous during my visit but he reassured me, answered all my questions and addressed my concerns. All the staff, from the time I arrived until the time I left were very pleasant, efficient and attentive.
Dr Friedman and his staff were very knowledgeable and my wait was less than 5 minutes. Still following up with more appointments, but I definitely will recommend him to my friends and family.
Professional and informative, glad I googled and his name appeared to be top rated and reviews are on point.
Too rushed there was an army of people who came in and obviously interns, the doctor didn't have time to listen to me because he was too busy talking to his interns. And it's more than likely I won't listen to his recommendations and find another specialist for this area.
While I had high hopes for this, the lack of response/follow-up after faulty machinery was provided for an at-home evaluation shows little concern for maintaining a relationship.
Dr. Friedman's staff apologized for the delay, which I appreciated. However, seeing Dr. Friedman himself did not seem necessary - I knew that I needed a hearing test for evaluation for the need for hearings aids, so I could have seen Dr. Beeg directly.
I really liked Dr. Friedman, but my appointment was at 10:30, and I wasn't even seen until 11:15...and didn't get out of his office until noon...
Dr Friedman is very kind hearted soul. He listened so patiently to my problem & gave me hope. God Bless Him !!!
The wait time to see the doc was absurd and disrespectful to me and my time. As the patient I am expected to be on time, the doc should be too. It makes me seriously reconsider whether or not this is the right practice for me.
I appreciated how thorough and pleasant Dr. Friedman and his staff were during my consultation.
Dr. Friedman is the BEST! A brilliant doctor with the best bedside manner. He is patient and takes time to answer any questions you might have. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
A bit of a wait (45 minutes) but I was taken care of and had follow up procedure done in a timely manner.
Visit was satisfactory. Everything went one part to the next smoothly but didn't really take time to explain what was going on.
Second time see this doctor. He has a great reputation and I hope he can help resolve the issues I am having.
The doctoro seems great. However, the wait was terrible
Dr Friedman was great. The wait was a little long considering I was nervous about the scope, but otherwise everything was good.
Very well organized and professional. Felt that I was very well taken care of. The staff made feel welcome and relaxed
very nice doctor and staff. was running 10 mins late, called to let them know, told me it wasn't a problem , got there and was seen shortly thereafter.
He was very nice. When I got called to the back he came right in, I didn't have to wait a long time so that was awesome.
Very professional and thorough. I enjoyed the visit and I would have no problem recommending Dr. Friedman to friends and family.
One of the most well-organized clinics I have seen. The roles and tasks of staff and clinicians are perfectly planned for the best medical care. Physicians know exactly what is needed so they don't waste time with idle chit chat or fiddling with electronic medical records. It all happens seamlessly. I have managed practices in two large health systems in Chicago and Minnesota but have never experienced the level of organization demonstrated at Chicago ENT. They anticipate every question and concern. The physician was very upfront about what can be helped and what can not be helped. He recommended alternative care for the part he cannot help - reflected his honesty. Audiologist doctor was the same - very professional and honest about diagnosis and next steps. The clinic must be run by the doctors themselves because they have developed processes, forms and workflows that we could never have accomplished in the large health systems i have worked at and received medical care from. They did a scope inmy nose. I never went to an ENT before so I was a little weirded out when the nurse told me that the dr was going to stick a camera on a long tube into me. He was so incredibly skilled that it was over before I knew it. It's like they have a 6th sense for what is going on with you because they are so focused on this part of your body. My Previous sleep apnea care at a university and again at a health system neurology clinic seemed to be just about giving everyone CPAP (I have tossed out two of them in the past 10 years) without really knowing what was going on anatomically in the nose and mouth area. A I realize now that only an ENT could diagnose and treat the real situation because they are the only ones with the anatomical understanding and skills. Everyone was friendly and efficient. If you are a person who goes to doctors just to have someone commiserate with you and talk for hours, g somewhere else. If you want excellent medical care- GO HERE, seriously they are great!
Always an excellent experience. Dr. Friedman is the consummate professional with an easy bearing and high level of competence. The staff is extremely efficient and courteous. Could not be better!
Wonderful staff, great doctor. Dr. Friedman shows compassion, care and kindness. He is a doctor I would recommend over and over again. Truly, one of the best. Adele B
Very nice and knowledgable ent doctor. I am glad i went to see him for my breathing problems that I have had for years.
My visit went quite well. Dr. Friedman was patient, thorough and took the time to examine me and discuss his preliminary finding and possible options.
Excellent doctor. Very thorough. Expert in his field.
It was great. I was in and out in less than an hour.
The care and consultation that I received was far better than the previous ENT specialist that I saw. Dr. Friedman was very thorough in explaining test results and next steps in care.
It was ok.
Everyone in the office was very professional.
I was thoroughly treated with all options explained to me about sleep apnea and sinus surgery
So far so good. Dr. Friedman was very professional and so nice. I went in for sinus issues and had several tests performed that visit. I do still need to see an allergist and follow up with him to decide on possible treatment options.
Dr. Friedman and his associates were very knowledgeable and friendly. My only concern was my room had no trash can (I had a cold, and couldn't throw away my tissue), and had a used suction tube and container, both with fluid inside, visible.
Always professional and welcoming.
I sort of felt pushed into a direction I'm not sure I'm comfortable with. Was taken back for a CT scan and still don't really understand why. Probably should have asked more questions.
Michael Friedman treated me for sleep apnea. Also did nose surgery. Very professional explained everything throughly
I always enjoy meeting with him, very very pleasant attitude.
He is the best, always.
I would have appreciated being updated on why the physician was not able to see me in a timely manner. I waited for 60 minutes before being seen. Dr. Friedman is very professional and kind as are the medical assistants. I think they just need to work more on timeliness and keeping patients in the loop.
professional staff, great doctor
Great and informative
Such a nice, reassuring, unassuming doctor. Very knowledgeable and pleasant.
Love him very caring doc & very knowledgeable
My visit with Dr. Friedman quite good and professional. I have followed work to do with his group. I believe the outcome will be quite beneficial to solving my problem.
Very pleasant visit. Staff is friendly and helpful. Dr Friedman was very knowledgeable and spoke through all of my treatment options with me before making his recommendation. Very thorough.
He is a very caring doctor, with a lovely smile, although he is older, one can see how handsome he was in his youth. But aside from that he explained things, anwered questions, and did not seem to be in a rush. The down side was that I had an 8:30am appt, and they were already back up which caused me to wait 40mins to see him. He apologized but still, 40 mins is too long. I never waited that long for his partners, Venkatasean or Levay.
Very nice and professional, and most of all knowledgeable!
keep up the good work
Dr. Friedman is incredibly compassionate and understanding. He attempts to try minimally invasive procedures prior to any recommended surgeries.
He is very knowledgeable and caring doctor.
Just prescribes lots of expensive tests. Shows videos of himself on the local TV news so he doesn't have to interact with his patient. I basically paid for an expensive visit where I got a scope up my nose for less than a minute and then watched videos. Maybe this guy was good when he was younger, now he just uses his prior reputation that he has built up to bill lots of tests which may or may not be necessary.
I never have to wait a long time for my appointment time. The staff is always professional and friendly. Dr. Friedman always greet me with a smile.
Once I got past the wait (not too long), everyone was nice. Nice office. Nice people.
Doctor was pleasant and knowledgeable. Seemed very comfortable with patients that have difficult chronic sinus problems like myself.
Very professional and informative staff. Seems to always be busy which leads to increased waiting time.
Dr Friedman was very good. He was concise and to the point, and the whole battery of tests including a CT, air flow measurements and consultation was an hour and a half maximum. Next the sinu-plasty and I am sure it will go without a hitch and be successful.
Dr. Friedman was very informative and seemed genuinely interested in getting to know a little about me personally before we discussed my symptoms which was a nice change from other doctors I've seen. He really makes you feel like your needs are important and that you're not just "another patient" on a list. Highly recommend!
Dr. Michael Friedman and his staff are amazing! I have the utmost respect and admiration for him. He put me at ease the moment he walked in and attended to all my questions even some I hadn't thought of. I'm in good hands.
Wonderful physician with a very comforting demeanor. Professional, yet not intimidating, knowledgeable, able to relate information regarding diagnosis and treatment options in terms that a non-medical person can understand. He makes you feel comfortable from the moment he meets with you. I would certainly recommend him to anyone wishing knowledgeable, compassionate care from an otolaryngologist.(ENT doctor)
I like Dr. Friedman, but I didn't care for the long wait. I was a new patient so I'll wave things thinking the next appoinment should go alot faster.
The visit went really well. It took awhile to get called back (65 minutes). But once I was back there, they shuffled me through several different procedures fairly quickly.
ChicagoENT is great patient oriented healthcare. The front desk & all of the staff are very professional and friendly. Dr Friedman makes you feel important & gives you a feeling that you will be 100% taken care of. This is the place to go for their special services.
Dr. Friedman is the best. He is extremely knowledgeable. He educates his patients as to their condition and treats us with respect and kindness.
I would visit Dr. Friedman again and would recommend him to other friends, family members and colleagues. He is incredibly nice and encourages patients to call him any time, day or night, if they have a problem or question. He's great.
The staff here were the best! sooooo nice
The visit was more of a "catch up" appointment from a previous surgical procedure I had done by Dr. Friedman, so there is not much to say other than I was satisfied with his recommendation and look forward to meeting with him again.
I used to snore, now I don't
Busy place. Efficiently run. Very professional.
Dr Friedman is very impressive. Not only did he diagnose the problem within minutes, he had a serious battery of tests with sophisticated equipment to test for all sorts of possible problems. Very thorough and easy to talk to.
He is an iconic physician . ( I am inspired by both his competence and bed side manner and model my own practice on his!)
He is amazing and I would recommend him.
I'm very glad to back with Dr. Friedman. He's great! In the past, I have recommended him to several friends.
Just a terrible experience. Didn't listen to my concerns and gave unsatisfactory answers to my questions. "Don't worry about it" should never be a diagnosis. Won't be going back.
From the moment I walked in the suite I was greeted with a smile and filled out paperwork and did not wait longer than two minutes then seated into the nose camera room before I was even seated I was greeted by two of Dr. Friedman's understudies (and the real smile that workers want to be there) within not even one minute Dr. Friedman had a camera of my nose asked some questions took me into another hearing room test but then wanted to see a cat scan so you wouldn't miss judge the wrong thing that took a total of four minutes and then Dr. Friedman looked it over with me and told me what was wrong and even tried to fit me in the same day for the balloon sinus surgery woooow great service keep it up!
I thought he was great. Very personable. Great experience and convenient if you work in the Loop.
Dr. Friedman was very gentle and warm and quite easy to like instantly. He seems kind and caring. I just felt like he would find out how to help me fix my sleeping issues.
I thought I was treated very well and he was very nice. He answered questions even when I asked the same ones twice. He explained different options and how there were steps to take before jumping in with a treatment.
I was asked to come in 30 minutes earlier for my appointment, but I ended up waiting almost an hour past that time before being called in to the office. But Dr. Friedman is worth the wait. Once you are taken into the office you are given all of the attention necessary to diagnose and discuss your concerns. I felt very comfortable and cared for.
This is one of the best experiences I have EVER had as a patient!
I had concerns which he listened to and explained what and why he was doing procedures. Very busy but at the same time very patient. Great doctor.
Really organized. Professional. Courteous. Very impressed. !!
Warm and inviting waiting area, excellent treatment and very pleasant staff. Dr. Friedman is awesome.
Everyone in the office is very professional and courteous and have pleasant demeanors. The doctor is very good and answers all your questions or concerns.
Fantastic service from everyone there. Dr. Friedman was knowledgable, friendly and comforting.
I was very pleased with my first visit w/Dr. Friedman. He was very informative in regards to my situation and gave me many more options that I thought I had for treatment.
I was happy that the office was able to get me in earlier than I originally scheduled my appointment. Everyone was nice and thorough. The doctor was outstanding.
Dr. Friedman had horrible bedside manner and was extremely dismissive about the health concerns. However, His staff was extremely pleasant and helpful.
Very nice man... Easy to talk to and ask questions, didn't make you feel intimidated
I love going to Dr. Friedman. When I get to the office I am almost seen right away. He takes his time, he is very thorough, and gives you options and helps you make the best decision according to your lifestyle.
Very nice however the office was in a bit of disarray and the doctor was reading text messages on his phone while going the my symptoms and medical history which I found profoundly unprofessional.
I have been a patient of Dr. Friedman's for almost 20 years. He is an excellent doctor. I would highly recommend him.
I loved my visit! He was very compassionate and clear. He uses many methods to identify the problem and then creates a plan to attack your specific issues. I won't be wasting my time with a trial and error style of treatment.
This was an atypical visit and was disappointing. Inthe past my appointments have had less than a 5 minute wait. The docs in this group really know and remember their patients by name. This wasn't a good example of their care. I was in for comparative test results and I don't believe the doctor had had a radioloogist even look at the results.
Dr. Friedman is very thorough and comes up with options for the patient to choose from for treatment of the sinus problems.
Although Dr. Friedman was not in the office, another doctor filled in. Totally impressed with the professionalism, the quick visit, and keeping my original appointment. They were not quick to prescribe medication but working to find the root cause of the problem.
Great doctors. Only thing that I would like is a written summary of the visit. Thanks and Happy Holidays!
As always great.
I was very impressed with his friendliness and professionalism. He explained things very carefully and listened to my concerns!
Dr. Friedman along with Dr. Levae (excuse my spelling of his last name) saved my life. I'm ever grateful to these physicians for their surgical expertise in regards to my thyroid issues.
Dr. Friedman is a great doctor and always gets me what I need.
Great doctor - so knowledgeable in his field and gave me great advice. He went at just my speed, answered all my questions, and presented me my options. He is fantastic!
Everyone makes you feel welcome... :)
great - feel like we have a plan in place
Nice man! Good bedside manner, knowledgeable and good with kids.
He made me feel very comfortable and confident the he would be able to help me
Overall, it was a great experience. My only critique would be that I moved from room to room and chair to chair far too much. Although multiple tests need to be done, it would be nicer if they condensed all tests for ____ problem in one area versus having patients constantly on the move.
Dr. Friedman, Dr. Venkatesan, and their staff is absolutely incredible! Words are not enough to express my gratitude for what they've done to enhance the quality of my life and health! Thank you all so very much for the compassion, thoroughness, professionalish, kindness...absolutely amazing!! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!
Dr. Friedman is amazing. He's been a wonderful doctor and an even better surgeon.
Dr Friedman is awesome!
very thorough! they have the ability to do all pertinent tests in their office and really give you a reliable diagnoses. Dr Friedman is one of the best in his field!
Best ENT in all of Chicago hands down. This man cured my snoring and sleep apnea. Highly recommend.
Dr. Friedman is the nicest, most caring person/Dr. I have ever seen.
The visit was good, however, I expected more. After reading reviews from this web-site I thought I would be given quality time with Dr. Friedman. He did talk to me for about a minute and then sent me to Dr. Venkatesan. Dr. Venkatesan was courteous, but the conversation lasted maybe three minutes. No explanation of the condition, and possible consequences, no detailed questions. After all I did go though some diagnostic procedures and would recommend the clinic/organization for their qualifications, but I wouldn't give the highest grade.
I was very fortunate to have Dr Friedman and his team perform surgery and, while it’s only been a few months ago, I feel so much better. Post-surgery visits have been fast and efficient. My final observation is that Dr Friedman is a focused, friendly, professional consultant with endless experienced.
That office is impressively run! I saw three different non-doctor medical professionals, two doctors, and went into five different rooms for tests and consultations, but it all worked smoothly. Everyone seemed genuine and professional. A good visit!
I love Dr. Friedman and have referred him to my friends who also enjoyed his skill and service. My review following is solely about this particular appointment. Quite often with this office, but particularly with Dr. Friedman, if you make an appointment with one doctor, you get seen by another. This is frustrating because it seems like Dr. Friedman and Dr. LeVay are the only ones who seem to actually remember me or my history or take time to look deep into sinuses or offer new solutions. This is meant as a compliment to their skill and reputation and not disregard to the other practitioners who are also talented, but simply don't see me in similar frequency. Normally, I'm fine being seen by another practitioner, but this particular time I had waited weeks in severe pain hoping to be seen by Dr. Friedman, whom I made an appointment with, not a different practitioner who doesn't remember my name or history and won't take a few seconds to look at my file beforehand... Needless to say, I left the office with no prescription or immediate solution to this pain that's been keeping me up. The other doctor did suggest I call back if I'm not better in 10 days (which will make a month of sleepless nights and pain...). I understand that Dr. Friedman is reputable and busy, but would like some warning if I cannot be seen by the scheduled doctor so I can choose to reschedule or which doctor I prefer to see. I pay extra for insurance that allows me to choose and would like the office to respect my choice as well.
He is a wonderful doctor.
He is an excellent doctor!
I rarely complete surveys. This was probably the best appointment I ever had with any doctor. Dr Friedman was engaged, and really committed to getting my issue sorted once and for all. He was really great, remembered me from before, and all his staff were prompt, professional and on the ball. I felt like I had a very thorough appointment and got future ones sorted out before I left the office. Highly recommend this doctor.
He is very nice, friendly and funny. My wait was not that long and he gave him information and explained the possible procedure I would have to have done. His staff is also very nice!
Excellent! He is not only a kind and wonderful soul but also so incredibly knowledgable!
AMAZING DOCTOR. FIXED ME RIGHT UP WITHOUT ANY PROBLEMS. VERY GOOD AT WHAT HE DOES. THE BEST OF THE BEST.
very thorough - answered all my questions!
Dr. Friedman is great. He is such a sweet and caring man, he really looks out for his patients!
This was a preliminary visit. Dr. Friedman was extremely kind, knowledgeable and patient.
Professional, competent and excellent bedside manner.
Dr. Friedman is a genuinely fine doctor. I have been seeing him quite regularly for a series of issues ranging from minor to life threatening for at least 10 years. He's an extremely busy man owing to his reputation in the medical community, but I've never felt that he has rushed through a visit or failed to address any issue I've raised. Always pleasant and professional, concerned with his patient's comfort. The staff likewise takes their cues from him and are a pleasure to deal with. At some points in the past - years ago - I expected to wait an hour or more beyond my appointed time. With his new facility and expanded staff, this is no longer a problem. I waited no more than 5 minutes at my most recent appointment. I would without reservation recommend him to my closest family and friends.
Very Informative, professional and courteous!
Dr. Friedman was awesome. Very personable, attentive to your issues, very thorough and informed in his field. The office is just as amazing. I filled out the forms and was in the room in less than 5 mins. The staff is friendly and very efficient. Highly recommended.
I was there for 1 hour and 40 minutes - way too long for a routine visit.
Took a while to get in there, but once I got through the door, things moved relatively quickly. I worked with no less than six different people, three of them doctors, after my initial consult with Dr. Friedman. I feel like my concerns were listened to, acknowledged, and responded to in a caring and respectful manner. Yeah, you hafta sit through some silly videos, but that was only a few minutes in the two hours of testing and attention I received. This was SUCH an improvement over my previous ENT; I am a fan of Friedman's clinic and will be using his services for any other ear/apnea issues I have in the future.
He was very informative and professional. He also demonstrated compassion with intelligence that makes sense. I really believe he's going to make a difference in my life. Thank you
Very professional and thorough but the wait was long
Staff was courteous. Doctor was interested in me and solving my issue.
I have been to virtually every ENT in the Chicago metro area in the past, I now only go here. That speaks for itself.
I loved Dr. Friedman! took his time to answer all our questions and gave us all the information necessary to move to the next step. Very professional!
I was disappointed by this visit. On my first visit Dr. Friedman expressed confidence that they would be able to help me, but now on my second visit he said that they may never find what's causing my vertigo. He performed two tests and a doctor told me over the phone that the results were abnormal, but when I got into the office specifically to talk about the test results, he basically brushed it off and told me that although my condition was annoying, it wasn't life threatening. I have some more tests to go and another follow up scheduled so hopefully we will get to the root of this.
I highly recommend meeting with Dr. Friedman. He is incredibly interested in constantly improving each person's sleep and life experience. He is not only brilliant, but a pleasure to have as a doctor. Also, the doctor and his facility takes the best care of their patients. I'm soon going to be doing a sleep study in a nice hotel which was given to me as a top option, which was not offered at the previous place i went to. Enjoy! Also, I called in late to the appointment--it's possible that they would be even more timely if I had been on time.
I thought everything went well and I would recommend the doctor, but I was there for over 2 hours and probably only 10 minutes of that time was spent actually talking to him. It seems as though he was very overbooked so I was very annoyed about that.
The doctor and nurses were very welcoming and made me feel comfortable, even though I dislike going to any doctor's office. The reception was also very helpful.
I'd never even think of seeing anyone else! In fact, I just recommended him to someone on facebook last week, and four other people immediately "liked" my referral, meaning Dr. Friedman.
very caring and attentive, appreciate the time spent on me. Highly recommend Dr. Michael Friedman
He's excellent and I would definitely recommend him to others. His office staff is also very efficient and professional. I have no complaints.
Highest level of care
I felt that Dr. Friedman did not listen to my concerns and mostly just sat there with a semi-smirk on his face and occasionally laughed [at me]. I do not feel that my questions were answered and that, after waiting an hour, i was getting the sales pitch for sleep apnea treatment (Not what my concern was). He pumped nasal spray up my nose without warning and only asked questions about snoring. The only difference between "Probably not" and "never!": If you have sleep apnea, this is probably the place for you.
Class act. Professional, knowledgeable and properly staffed. Dr. Friedman is also an excellent businessman. Great experience and am hopeful that he will help me with my apnea.
he is very educated and talented at what he does. he is an amazing ent that changed my life! i would recommend him to anyone i know needing an ENT.
He knows his stuff.
Very impressed! All of my questions were answered quickly and thoroughly. Sleep clinic called the next day to schedule. Allergist and CAT scan of sinuses following study and then least invasive solution of a bi-pap instead of a CPAP which I've had for four years. I'm happy they have more alternatives and are so quick to respond and schedule.
Spent less than five minutes with the actual doctor, though his enthusiastic and helpful staff made up for it. Also, admittedly, the doc referenced the need for a sleep study before he can do much.
Saw a doctor that works with him and it was excellent.
Always a delay in his waiting room, but he has current magazines and a variety of them so that you don't notice the delay. It wouuld be nice to arrive on or before time and to be seen on time.
As always I leave with a clear sense of what issues I have and what the next steps will be.
Booked him, but never spoke to him long. Got another doctor to take care of me. He didn't seem interested whatsoever.
very caring doctors, nurses and staff. A+
Doc is great!
Dr Friedman is a genius and so sweet and caring
The whole staff was very nice and informative. I highly recommend them
Avoid at all costs - this practice is in the business of making money. They do not care one bit whether you are healed or not so long as they get paid.
Dr Friedman is a very professional and courteous physician. He spent time with me and explained my treatment options. His entire staff was very courteous and efficient.
Dr. Friedman greeted me and asked about my symptoms but another Dr. actually performed the endoscopy
Everyone, from the front desk, nurses, etc. to Dr. Friedman himself were absolutely wonderful!!
The post-op follow up visit was very brief, only about 10 minutes total. However I am extremely disappointed that the only reason for seeing this Dr. still persists and I was told that could be completed in the office. I strongly feel I had surgery, was off work for 2 weeks and will now have to pay for a procedure that was never needed.
Loved it. We felt that the doctors and office staff was very respectful and concurred with are comfort level regarding are diagnostic.
your team is wonderful
I found him to be a very personable doctor and he answered any questions that you might have. You didn't get the feeling like he was trying to rush you in and out. He has a calming effect on the patient.
Dr. Friedman was very professional and informative. My appointment was an educational experience well appreciated.
The visit met my expectations, but the wait time was way too long. A number of other patients in the office where visibly frustrated by this as well.
I will definitely return to Dr.Friedman. Instantly made me feel comfortable. I also think the staff is very friendly and personable. Thank You
It was the most thorough MD visit I have ever had. I appreciate the detailed examination and the efficiency with which I moved from one part of the exam to the other.
I thought he was very considerate and thoughtful about my medical issues.
Very warm and caring physician. Easy to talk to and he listened to my concerns
If you have any medical issues involving the sinuses and airflow, he is the best of the best. Diagnosis, surgery and followup were all A+.
organized, professional, timely appointment.
Thought he was thorough & seemed confident that he would be able to help me.
Extremely knowlegable and helpful.
Wonder people! Get service from start to finish. Explained everything completely. Made me feel comfortable the entire time. Fantastic Doctor and Staff.
Excellent - I always recommend Dr. Friedman to my family & friends for any ENT issues. His expertise and friendliness are 5-stars!
Organized office staff, everyone was friendly and profressional.
He was very nice and explained the whole procedure and he even asked several times if I had any questions. I appreciated that since some Doctors don't seem interested in your questions. He's very warm and still maintains his professionalism.
Dr Dixon was amazing! He was patient and understanding and he knew my anxiety level was high and handled it in a very professional and caring way. He's super brilliant and put my fears to ease.
1. No waiting 2. Very knowledgeable
Dr Friedman is an excellent Doctor - one of the best!
One physician walked into the office and didn't both to introduce himself. I had to ask him his name. Very little time was given to discuss my situation. A decision was made by the staff without any explaination as to why one procedure was chose over others until I asked about it. No success rate of effectiveness for the procedure chosen was discussed until I brought it up. I felt the experience was unsatisfactory and rushed.
Unbelievably good service! Highest quality medical care, too.
Organized, thorough, and expeditious.
Great. No complaints.
He was excellent
I was seen by 4 different doctors and they tried to make me get tests I did not need. They also had issues passing me around to many different nurses and they messed up why I came in the first place. Very frustrating
Dr. Friedman is great! I've been a patient of his for over 10 years and have no complaints.
Dr. Friedman is a knowledgeable doctor and a very caring sprit. He is the nicest man ever!
I respect his opinion. I appreciate his explaining what he wants to do to further diagnose my situation. I trust he will be thoughtful and will communicate with me about the findings on the various tests. And, finally, he is good at listening to my thoughts about my situation and my symptoms.
Staff is very professional and helpful.
I've read a lot about the doctor and heard positive things from my primary care doctor, what I didn't expect was the entourage of assistants following him around on my visit. Okay he may have been turning this into a teachable moment but someone should have asked was I okay with.
I had a very good experience with my first appointment and am hoping the follow ups will be the same.
I have had nothing but great experiences with Dr. Friedman's office. He is very warm and kind and does a great job! I have already recommended others to his office.
Everything is very organized and everyone is on the same page. The computerization of each patient is a plus.
He is truly professional and has a great bedside manner!
I have been his patienbt for 14 years and have sent many people to him as patients. He is the best in chicago and I've been to most of them previously!! He is very thorough.
Dr Friedman is awesome. He takes the time to explain everything very well and makes sure that all questions are answered. I am so completely impressed with Dr. Friedman and his staff.
Had to wait quite a bit longer than scheduled appointment (almost an hour). Felt a bit rushed during appointment so couldn't convey all of my concerns to the doctor. However, the doctor is familiar with and has treated LPR, something many other ENTs aren't familiar with.
Overall, my first appointment went very well. Everyone was nice and quite professional. I was surprised that Dr. Friedman didn't conduct the exam, as my appointment was with him, but the doctor who saw me was absolutely fine.
Dr. Friedman was very thorough and was excellent at explaining the procedures.
AS ALWAYS, seeing dr. friedman and/or dr. v, was nothing but professional, diagnostic and hopeful. my experience with staff this time, however, was kind of kooky. i really felt shuffled around by myriad people - front desk and office mgr. (my insurance is odd) - then front desk sending me to "checkout" prior to appt. to pre-pay since i have odd insurance and haven't yet met deductible amount - but didn't tell me there were TWO checkout windows - so i stopped at the first one i came to and waited and waited and waited ... ONLY to have another staff person (in the hallway) ask if she could help me ... and pointed me to the other side of a partition to a check out person. ... she had to also get answers from someone else to, what i thought, were pretty straightforward questions (i.e., "will this amount i'm paying you today be applied to my deductible?") ... and move to this room, now this room, now this room, you're done and OUT the door ... it was more frenetic than any previous appointment and was a bit off-putting. however, i wanted to see the best ENTs in town ... and i did just that.
Entire staff was very friends and Doctors were very professional. Waiting time was not ideal before seeing Doctor and while waiting in the room. Entire visit was over 2 hours.
The "wait time" rating above is misleading. Dr. Friedman is great, but the whole process of the office is crazy hectic, maybe because it's Columbus Day, I don't know. But I got there at 9:45 and didn't walk out til 11:45 - and most of that time was spent waiting between a 3-minute exam, a 2-minute video, and a brief (maybe 5-minute) consultation. So, of my 2 hours there today, more than 1 hour and 45 minutes was waiting time. It's disrespectful.
I saw Dr friedman and Dr LaVey. Both are great
Very informative...treated me with respect and care. Great at explaining the issues and options. Highly recommended.
everything was good untill the end i would still be waiting on talking to the Dr. of the results of the hearing test if i would have not asked.
He was a good listener, really understood my situation and offered realistic options.
Dr. Friedman was terrific. It's truly an asset to the practice and to his patients.
Dr.Friedman has been doing this for quite a long time now and did my two sinus surgerys as well, i would think he is the best ENT doctor in the US, clever and brilliant.
This is the 4th ENT I've seen for a recurring problem I've had for years. Dr. Friedman is the first one to not only give me real hope of finding a solution, but actually acted like he cared about solving it. I've been dismissed and treated like dirt by previous doctors, so this was a really great experience and I have hope for the first time in years.
Dr.Friedman is a caring, compassionate physician. He listens to the patient and answers all questions in a way that one can understand. I have referred patients in the past and will continue to refer in the future. The entire staff at his office is professional and very efficient. Thank you Dr.Friedman, I feel better already, just seeing you, that was really good medicine for me.
I had a great experience with my inital visit and am confident that the group will be able to help solve my sinus issues!
He is very friendly and my first appointment with him was more effective than 3 visits with my previous ENT. I feel like I am in good hands with Dr. Friedman :)
Would have liked a little better explaination of surgery that was recomended. Video was fine but lacks the option of persoanl questions.
Michael Friedman was very friendly and was willing to answer any questions I had. His vast experience is evident right away
I liked him a lot. He was attentive, friendly and knowledgeable.
Very thorough, very attentive, very willing to answer questions and explain options. The other people in the office, Dr. LeVay and all the techs and office staff, were also professional and pleasant. The one glitch with not faxing over my prescription to my drugstore was remedied quickly with an appropriate apology. All in all, I was impressed.
very thorough and personable
I think he's a caring and very qualified doctor.
He's an amazing Doctor. Been seeing him for 34 years.
I was very impressed. Since it was my first visit I arrived a few minutes early but I was seen at the exact time of my appointment. Every staff member that I came in contact with was friendly and professional.
Glad I got a referral to see him regarding my thyroid issue. He is a very experienced doctor. The whole office staff where extremely nice, helpful and caring.
He's the best in his field.
Absolutely an expert in sleep issues. He is thoughtful and listens carefully to what you say, not just offering his viewpoint as, sadly, many medical professionals are wont to do.
The staff was super organized. The best part was the thyroid biopsy that I was concerned about was not painful and done in the office very quickly. That was not the previous experience I had at another facility.
I felt like I was being rushed as I was herded from room to room for this test and that. The exam room doors were always kept ajar if not fully open so as to give the impression that there wasn't time to ask questions. (I could hear other patient's conversations with their doctors!) I have to come back for 4 more visits (read 4 more co-pays) before a plan can be formed. (CT, nasal PH test and allergy testing and another appointment with the doctor.)The doctor seemed knowledgeable and nice.
Very pleased. Dr. Friedman treets his pacients in a personal way, shakes hands, etc. Other don't even worry about it. Enrique Carlos.
Fantastic. Very little waiting. Very knowledgeable staff.
He is quick to review patient then leave for another, No "hand holding" by Dr. Friedman.
He has great bedside manner... And the staff was a pleasure as well:)
I believe Dr. FRiedman knows his stuff, but I felt like I was being ushered from room to room and needed five minutes of the doctor's time to discuss my situation. Every time he started to talk to me, he suddenly excused himself and left. The first time I saw him we discussd two surgies that I would need. The second time, he said I would need one procedure and then said I would need a different second procedure. I wanted to discuss it with him but he kept dissapearing.
took great care in explaining options and ideas
It was good. He was very professional. He went to work right away as soon as he saw me. He really took time to understand my concerns.
He was totally super, and I was very worried about making a non-standard decision about my surgery. He listened and made sure I understood the decision, but was very understanding. I haven't had surgery yet, but I feel very comfortable with him as my doctor.
Kind caring Doctor. Good with patients Listens to your problem and explains his treatment clearly. Would recommand him to anyone who wants the best and most professonial Doctor.
I had to wait close to 2 hours to be seen.
I felt like I was in an ENT factory! I was passed along to three different doctors. Friedman promised a "thorough" exam; never happened. Two and one-half hours seems over the top for wax removal. I received three reminders (phone, text, email) about my appointment time, but waited one hour in the main lobby.
It was a very good visit and good results.my ear problem was take care of.
Great doctor, great staff. Highly recommended.
I am very lucky and happy that I made an appointment with Dr. Michael Friedman and his very capable associates. Everyone I came in contact with at the very modern facilty I was highly impressed with. When it comes to Otolaryngology (Ear, Nose & Throat) I feel that I went to the Professional's Professional in the field. I was greatly impressed as to how I was treated!!!!
Dr Friedman made me feel cared for as a Doctor should!
It was a very good experience I was in and out and was satisfied with the service I receieved. The wait time before we were seen was less than 15 min. The staff was great.
