I am totally confident that I am receiving the best available care . I have been a patient for about 15 years and have never been dissatisfied with my care.

The wait time was longer than anticipated. Upwards of 45 minutes. My appointment was scheduled for 11:15 for a post op. I was finished at 1:40.

It was frustrating to wait so long for less than a total of 15 minutes. I was there 2 hours! I saw Dr. Gilbert fpr 2 to 3 minutes max and a technician for maybe 10 minutes. I am pleased with my cataract surgery. I was very impressed that Dr. Gilbert called me personally later that evening to see how I was doing.

Trust the Doc. But wait time is terrible. Waited 1.5 hours before I saw him. Needs process improvement.

He doesn't talk to patients and doesn't speak clearly and it makes us hesitate to ask him a question. I never felt he is kind. We had to wait for 1hr to see doctor after all the test. It took us to finish all the visit almost 3hrs.

For a 9:30 AM appointment I arrived at 9:20 AM to check in. During the next 1-1/2 hours I spent 5 minutes with a tech to check my vision with an eye chart and check the pressure in my eyes. Finally after 1-1/2 hours I spent about 5 minutes with Dr. Gilbert and he checked the eye pressure and said to come back in 30 days and if the pressure was still up he would do a procedure to correct it. I typically expect to spend 1-1/2 to 2 hours for every appointment I have with Gilbert. Seems they should reconsider there appointment scheduling to make sure patient do not have to spend the amount of time we do for an appointment.

I arrived 10 minutes early for a routine eye exam appointment to get a new prescription for glasses. I was seen within 5 minutes of my appointed time. I had a routine eye exam from Cheryl(?) that may have taken 30 minutes. I opted to have photos taken of both eyes and that took no more than 5 minutes. I saw Dr. Gilbert and his assistant for about 20 minutes which included an extra look at my eyes because there was more going on than what I thought was just a "routine eye exam". Total time: 60 minutes at most. Why then did I have to spend another hour and 45 minutes waiting to get the photos of my eyes and waiting to see Dr. Gilbert? Dr. Gilbert is smart, generous, and an excellent doctor, but this is not the first time this has happened to someone in our family. Please review your procedures and if it is normal to wait this long for these exams, could you alert patients to this on the website so they can plan their day accordingly? Two hours and 45 minutes for what was essentially a one hour exam is too long. Thank you for considering this.

My only concern was that I waited almost 30 minutes before I was ever seen and then another 15 minutes between the technician seeing me and seeing the doctor. Too much waiting around. The technician and doctor were very thorough and for that I am thankful.

I'm needing a Dr. who can hear what I am saying and discuss what is working and what is not working. In talking about my treatment history he wasn't hearing that I had already tried most everything he recommended. He wasn't hearing that those methods hadn't worked. And he was prescribing them again, and they are very expensive. I'm not going to try something for the fourth time when I know it doesn't work. He wasn't hearing me, just pushing the scientific facts at me. I have facts too - and they come from my personal experience. Secondly, I was given a supposed sample of a new product and got out to my car and discovered that it was only paperwork in a very fancy package. no sample. I went back in and had to wait another 45 minutes to tell them that there wasn't a sample in my product and I neeeded an RX. They had no idea. This office needs to check things like that so I don't have to do their job for them and spend 45 minutes of my time waiting to do it. It's a very slick atmosphere in that office. Lots of polish and splash but i'm not sold on how well they actually serve their patients. I probably will search out another doctor.

Dr. Gilbert is great, but my overall experience visiting his office was less than stellar. (Not terribly important, but as an FYI: This is definitely an eye care center for old people. Ornate wooden furniture and classical music in the lobby. TV loops cheesy, badly animated informational videos about various eye procedures and diseases. It's very strange.) I arrived 10 minutes before my new patient appointment to fill out any extra paperwork there may be. I needn't have bothered: I was called back to my appointment precisely 44 minutes late. When I asked a front desk employee exactly how far behind schedule they were running, she became inexplicably defensive and said she didn't know. The rest of his staff seems great. One thing to be aware of if having an annual exam done here: If you don't want your eyes dilated, there is an extra fee. I thought nowadays the non-dilated option was pretty standard and included in an annual exam - I'm pretty sure I haven't paid out of pocket for that in years. Because I had to wait so long, the staff was kind enough to provide this service to me free of charge, which I appreciated. I'm also used to getting contacts prescribed directly by my doctor at annual eye exams and placing an order for them on my way out the door. Here, I was told I'd have to make a separate appointment at the optometry center within the office to be fitted for contacts. That seemed strange as well.

Best eye doctor I have dealt with. I have been happy with other staff at this location and after spending just a short time Michael Gilbert was able to identify exactly what was wrong and what needed to be fixed. While the visit with him was short, I felt like I was given more information about my eyes then ever before and am glad he is able to quickly give his helpful knowledge to many patients.

He appears to have a very well run office with a very complete staff which first does your examination. That took about thirty to forty-five minutes. When the doctor came in, he read the notes did his own exam which took less than 10 minutes, and gave his diagnosis. I then was sent to the surgical specialist who scheduled me. I did however feel that she was trying to up-sell me on a more costly lens implant when I have my cataracts renoved,
