Verified Patient Reviews
I loved that he took the time to listen to my concerns and problem. He also gave me reassurance.
1.5 hour wait!!! I should have listened to the previous reviews. The doctor was condescending and didn't explain anything AND he was verbally abusive to the sweetest medical assistant. Several times during my exam the doctor left the room without explaining where he was going or if he was coming back. He also kept asking me why I wasn't married (I'm in my early 30s) and kept digging for information about my Jewish heritage (I'm not Jewish!). For example, "your mom must get upset if you're missing Passover dinner." He diagnosed me with a few things but didn't explain any of them and didn't answer my questions. He just refered to my Israeli heritage (I'm not israeli) and/or middle eastern (I'm not middle eastern) and maybe European heritage and how I need to be careful in the sun. He was incredibly rude and unprofessional. Besides the wait time, the weird comments about being jewish and not married... I'm mainly never going back because he was SOOOOO mean and SOOOO rude to his medical assistant that I would say it was verbal abuse. I'll never go back.
He has a great bedside manner--very friendly and accessible!
Previous reviews that led me to decide to see him were accurate. Very personable and spent time talking to me and not at me. Left the visit armed with a thorough diagnosis and a clear treatment plan. Not a long wait (less than 15 minutes), office space, staff and medical assistants were awesome.
Dr. Jackson is very professional and straight forward I refer anyone to him
My visit with Dr. Jackson was satisfactory. I was please with the results. I find him to be very caring, concern and right to the point with his diagnose. He makes you feel relax and comfortable with his profession. He can also find a way to interject humor in his diagnose and conversation. I find his team to be very polite and professional.
been to a few dermatologist and they could not help my son....now i feel like Dr jackson and his staff cared enough to help my son and find a solution
I have been to Dr. Jackson on several occasions. He has great bedside manner.
A 2 hr wait time with a 2 year old was not the best part of our visit. Luckily Dr. Jackson and his staff were pleasant so I was not as upset as I normally would have been. Hopefully the wait time will be shorter next time.
Very knowledgeable about Skin of people of color excited about seeing results
He was thorough. His office looked like a Park Ave suite.
I love that the office had my paperwork printed out and ready for my signature! He was very thorough about asking the right questions and getting plenty of feedback! I like his suggestions and look forward to coming back to his office. The only thing I would state is that he has a strong personality, especially when dealing with his staff. A happy staff makes for a better environment!
Great doctor highly recommended but be prepared to wait extremely long.
he is still good at what he do treated me in beginning 2009 was about to keep clear my skin today 6 years
I arrived 10 minutes early for my scheduled appointment, and was not seen by the doctor until 45 minutes after my scheduled appointment time. I don't know how doctors still get away with this.
Dr Jackson is a very good dermatologist, he gave me very good care.
I was very unhappy with the customer service here. I arrived to my appointment approximately 10 minutes early to fill out routine new patient paper work. The office was completely empty. 15 minutes after arriving the receptionist finally gave me paperwork to fill out; by this time the office was becoming crowded. My appointment was for 4 pm unfortunately I wasn't taken into a examining room until 4:54 pm after meeting with the PA and giving general information I then waited again for the doctor to come in. Growing frustrated I tried to ask for help and was told by the nurses passing in the hallway" the doctor will be with you shortly". They didn't even bother to hear my concerns first. I wasn't seen until 5:20 pm. I was very disappointed in the overall service. After my consultation I returned to the front desk and waited for a staff member to assist me but of course no one did. This Doctor was highly recommend by a good friend and I was looking forward to going. The Doctor himself seemed know his work and showed concern towards my issues however his staff members were unorganized and unprofessional. I am not sure if I want to return....
felt very welcome and comfortable.
I think he has an attitude. He gives prescriptions and tries to find a solution. He also doesnt listen to what methods you think works for you.
Great experience. Dr. Jackson was knowledgeable, thorough, and kind. Listened attentively to my input and concerns while providing me with his own. Highly recommended.
I was called 30 minutes before my appointment and told that their weren't any available for my scheduled time even though I had already signed up for it. They told me that I shouldn't come if I had something else scheduled but it was urgent so I had to go. When I arrived I had to fill out the forms I sent once again. I sat around for an hour, I went to the reception desk to ask when I would be seen and I was confronted my the doctor and slightly patronized and finally 20 minutes later I was called in. I didn't leave the office until 3 and my appointment was at 1.
He was good, but I feel as though he should listen more and take into account what the patient is really saying. I shall see if what he prescribe works. I do have a follow up appt.
Was very frustrated with this third visit to his practice. He criticized me for having used the prescriptions improperly, but in his haste in previous appointments he had never given me proper instructions about correct use. I'm just tired of the long waits, the hasty examinations, and the rushed prescriptions with minimal explanation. I'm not going back to him anymore.
Knowledgeable and caring
I came in with questions concerning my skin. There wasn't a thorough exam and my questions weren't answered clearly. Dr. Jackson rambled off several medications to his assistant, rushed the entire process and wasn't personable at all. I left the office feeling like I had wasted my time and that should seek help elsewhere.
Dr. Jackson was EXCELLENT! Very professional, lovely staff, excellent service, accurate, informative and made me feel very comfortable. He was an excellent choice!
Very personal, friendly and helpful! Looking forward to my follow up visit!!
Dr. was great. Very personable. Took the time to answer all my questions even though he was clearly very busy. Has the quite possibly the coolest waiting room. Great bedside manner. Would definitely recommend
Excellent care giver.
The wait time was EXTREMELY slow. The doctor arrived to the office about an hour after my appointment time, and there were 5 people ahead of me. Luckily, the nurses and reception staff are very nice and pleasant. Dr. Jackson seems knowledgeable, so I am currently following his proposed course of action. However, I am not sure whether I will return for my follow up appointment due to the wait time.
Dr. Jackson gave me so much information about my existing condition. He answered all of my questions and most of all I felt confident after the visit. Define toy looking forward to my next visit
Very knowledgeable man. He was able to find another issue with my skin other than what I came there for. The staff was kind and pleasant. The only thing I didn't like was the long waiting to be seen as well as when we were together, he left out the room 2 times to attend to another patient. Other than that, I would go back to see him again.
I couldn't recommend Dr Jackson highly enough, great humour, smart advice and lovely team.
He was great!
Great doctor he very busy but he's a straight shooter
Had to enter medical history via form and then again via the medical assistant. Wait seemed unnecessarily long considering how few patients were there. Staff was very friendly.
He kept it short and left twice in between. Seemed to treat multiple patients at the same time and many per day, so very limited on time. Would have hoped for a bit more time. Treatment seemed sensible. Let's wait and see if it works :).
Dr. Jackson has an impressive office and very professional and courteous staff. After waiting an hour and a half for my visit, I found Dr. Jackson to be lively if a bit perfunctory.
He was very proficient. He gave me good advice which I can use forever
Very professional and really nice. I would go there again but the wait time is long.
Very sweet and chatty- likes to teach and inform his patients.
Dr.Jackson is very personable
I've been here twice now, and I'm positive that I won't be back. Jackson is one of the most dismissive doctors I've ever encountered. He walked out of the room several times while he was mid-sentence explaining a drug to me, and interrupted me to leave the room twice when I was explaining my symptoms. Rude nurse failed to even make eye contact with me once she finally entered the room. Doctor made fun of the way I explained my eczema and failed to explain anything in regards to why he was prescribing me different meds than last time, then left the room suddenly and never returned as the nurse stared at her computer and said "Ok... you're done. You can go." Never returning here. I go to a doctor for someone to listen and actually provide me with advice because they are the expert -- not me. Here, I feel like I'm a task on a to-do list that he wants to cross off as soon as possible. Don't bother.
Yeah, the actually appointment started almost an hour after the scheduled time. Part of that was caused by nonsense from my insurance company. But when he got to me, he was totally focused and attentive. He asked tons of questions (many of them non-obvious). After the questions, he did a thorough exam. He diagnosed the problem that I came in about--which turned out to be something I had never heard of despite all of my Internet research beforehand--but he also diagnosed a another minor issue that he saw during the exam and gave me a prescription for it. Yes it started a little late, but I've had quite a few experiences of doctors who got to me on time but were so rushed that they didn't do the work to figure out the problem properly--which caused more time-consuming visits. I'll now take a late but skilled, on-point doctor any day of the week. I was very happy with my visit.
I like Dr. Jackson. He has a sense of humor. Since this is my first visit I can't judge him yet. I will give another feed back in 3 weeks.
Dr Jackson is very professional and always gives samples and coupons so you can start treatment immediately.
They had no record of the appointment I made through Zoc Doc. After over an hour, they finally called for me. After a few minutes with the nurse, I had to wait almost another half hour for the doctor, who was trying to rush through as quickly as possible and barely wanted to answer any of my questions. This is my 2nd time here with a similar experience. I'll never go back.
Dr. Jackson is a life saver. I was misdiagnosed with a skin condition when I went to an urgent care facility about a rash that appeared on my Torso. Of course I knew better than go to anyone other than him, but I was in a hurry. Anyway the problem was correctly identified and my skin is back to normal now. He is professional, caring and knowledgeable about his area. What else can you ask for? I have been a patient for years
Dr.Jackson is very knowledgeable and I love the fact he gives samples and manufacturer cards to eliminate co-pays on specific prescriptions.
The wait time was pretty atrocious, but Dr. Jackson was very patient and nice. He has a great sense of humor and is very welcoming.
He was good and thorough. Knew what I needed to resolve problem.
Kept waiting for over an hour. Once I saw the doctor, he was professional and courteous. But he gave me a treatment plan and medicine for something that was not part of the purpose for the visit.
His knowledge of dermatology is extensive and precise. As a woman of color, I felt uncomfortable visiting dermatologists because I feared they would be floored by the issues that pertain to me however, Dr. Jackson always has an answer and helps me pinpoint what I need before resorting to expensive and painful procedures. Thank you Dr. Jackson!
Always an great experience.
The visit was very good. He takes his time with each patient.
I was thoroughly satisfied with my visit with Dr. Jackson. He explained my condition, and went over how to use the products he recommended. He also gave me literature to read, in addition to some websites on skin care that I could use.
I believe that Dr. Michael Jackson is a little misunderstood, there might be a long wait time, but thats only because he really takes the time to get to know his patients to ensure they get the best treatment. I would certainly recommend Dr. Jackson to anyone looking to get that one on one attention. I would also like to say that the staff is very friendly and welcoming and made me feel right at home.
He was very knowledge about my condition. The wait was longer than I'd like but that's the case with most doctors. I will be going back.
The Dr.seemed unapproachable. He walked into my room twice without as much as saying hello. Each time, He walked to the computer and walked back out. Barely even acknowledging I was in the same room with him. He then had his student come in and ask me my medical history. When she was done, I waited in the room for anther 20 min. He came in, and kept yelling for his nurse to come back in with him. Ultimately, I had to say hello for him to even speak. During the exam, he asked me "how important is getting this problem fixed to you?" I was very confused by that question. I tried showing him a picture of the problem and he kept dismissing me as if it was not important. His exam was hasty and he seemed like he just wanted to send me on my way. After reading suvh great reviews, I left feeling somewhat disappointed. HOWEVER his front desk staff was absolutely amazing. Kind, sweet, and welcoming.
The doctor was professional and treated my condition. I waited for a long time though which seems to be a common experience here.
I waited for about an hour to be weighed and put into a room. I then waited another hour to see the doctor who came in with two assistants. When I told the doctor I was uncomfortable with having so many people in the room he chastised me. He said more than once "this is my place" as if my discomfort did not matter. I repeated that I was not comfortable he told me to "Get Out". No kidding. Just like that. I was shocked! I took the day off work for this appointment, waited two hours only to be the doctor's verbal punching bag. I'm so sorry I made the mistake of going here.
Staff and doctor are very nice.
My visits have been bad. I never judge a professional after one visit because we all have bad days. I have been to see Dr. Jackson these times and have waited over an hour each time. I waited over 2 hours during my first visit. I got up to walk out and one of the assistants in the office told me that I was next, so I decided to stay since I already waited over 2 hours. When I finally met the doctor, he said "Sorry to keep you waiting, I have someone training today and I take my time with my patients." Very unacceptable and unprofessional to have patents waiting for that long.
Dr. Jackson was very professional and personable. He's also very attentive. Would definitely continue going to this Dr.
Dr. Jackson is pleasant and honest with his medical diagnosis. The office is very soothing and the staff is professional. My whole family will be visiting Dr. Jackson soon!
He is a great doctor I only wish his wait time was as good as his service....
Outstanding, everyone from the support staff to the doctor were beyond scincere, courteous, and professional.I knew I was in good hands.
Dr Jackson was excellent !!
Although I had to wait a long time, I feel that it was well worth the wait. The doctor was professional and very attentive, in regards to my skin problems. I'm finally confident that my acne and skin issues will be corrected.
Dr jackson was very kind and his professionalism was outstanding. I've been to several dermatogist and nothing ever worked. With The treatments he give me my husband noticed a differnce over night. I would highly recommend his services.
I really like the recommendation I was giving.I just wished at the end he ended our vist and not his assistant.
He wasn't very friendly. He told me that because I didn't have a home phone number or a work number to give him, that he most likely wouldn't see me again. Seriously, a doctor should make the patient feel comfortable while in his office. He wasn't comforting at all.
I felt he was only interested in giving me prescription. The office is very pleasant and comfort.
Dr. Jackson is an amazingly gifted physician. Even more, he speaks and acts with empathy, compassion and engages with his undistracted attention. My wait was kind of long, but it is because Dr. Jackson does not only treat symptoms, he works to resolve the cause. As an RN myself, I can appreciate a provider who really wants good things for for clients and follows through. Dr. Jackson is a gem!!!
Cheyenne was not pleased with the way the medical staff and the Physician treated her after waiting more than 2 hours to be seen. The staff had no regard for her time and were rude and unprofessional during the visit.
How much does a lab coat cost? Honestly. It looked like he worked in an auto repair shop. It was filthy, and it just gave an overall bad vibe to the place. Plus, he wants all of his patients to come in for an evaluation every 1 to 2 months before he will write you a prescription on even very basic medication. He will nickel and dime you. Not recommended.
He is a great doc however please be prepared to spend the night!the wait is ridiculous.
The office climate was soooo professional and relaxing. I felt as if I were on Fifth Avenue in Manhattan. I can't wait to return.
I haven't seen him since I was 7 ; I am 18 now & he still does an amazing job.
Doctor Jackson asked questions and listened to my responses. He is very detailed oriented .
I went to see Dr. Jackson 3 times, and waited (marginally) less than two hours on only one occasion. I thought I would save time by seeing someone in the neighborhood, but when Jackson insisted I come back for a 4th appointment before he would write me a prescription for a low-dose retinoid cream for mild adult acne, I resolved to never go back. Regarding bedside manner: after waiting an obscene amount of time to see Jackson — even when I was the first appointment of the day — the doctor suggested that if I didn't want to wait that long, I should find someone else. He went on for several minutes about the high level of care he provides and why his attention to detail is the reason he gets to running behind. This continued to be a theme: on the whole, Jackson spent more time during our appointments talking about why he was a good dermatologist than he spent talking about my skin.
The wait has gotten so much better. The staff is really nice and Dr. Jackson is great.
I had a 4:30 appointment, got there early (new patient) and after filling out forms and paying my copay, waited for two hours to be called in. Then one of the staff weighed me and took my blood pressure, and asked me all the same questions I filled out on my forms earlier. Then I waited another 30 minutes, another staff member came in and asked me a bunch of questions again (that I had already answered). Finally Dr. Jackson came in after another 20 minutes of waiting. His bedside manner is very good, and he apologized for the long wait, but didn't try to give any reason for it whatsoever. So I had a good experience with the doctor, but would not recommend unless you don't mind waiting hours.
Everything was great
Worth the wait, he is the best! Will not go anywhere else.
Don't go for acne. Expect a 2-3 hour wait every single visit in the waiting room before they call you back. Then expect another 30 minutes until the doctor actually comes in the door.
I will be goin for a follow up but wait time was a little to long for me.
I was glad I was able to get a appointment so quickly, so it was worth the wait. The staff is nice and so is the office. The prescription were pricey but he gave me plenty samples. Grateful for that. I like him.
i like the fact that he felt that my face can be fixed
I feel Dr. Michael Jackson is a very good doctor and is very knowledgeable in his field, however the wait time is ridiculous. My appointment was at 2pm and I arrived at 1:30. I wasn't registered until 3pm and didn't see the Dr until 4pm and sat in the room waiting for him 30 min.
I waited nearly two hours to see Dr. Jackson twice, in appointments 1 month apart. At the first appointment he told me he was "training new staff" and that was the reason for the delay; he repeated this at the second appointment, a month later. In reality it seemed he was just completely overbooked. Dr. Jackson's office also re-scheduled appointments scheduled on ZocDoc twice; the first time it was just done online without so much as a courtesy call. I made a third appointment (second online with ZocDoc) after I broke out in hives on my face from something he gave me. The earliest appointment I could get was 4 days after the incident. His receptionist called to cancel that appointment and tried to re-schedule me three weeks out. I told her that was unacceptable and that I wanted to speak with Dr. Jackson and was told that was not possible. I asked that Dr. Jackson call me, but he never did. She could not even refer me to see another doctor to attend to the hives. I had to arrange to find a new dermatologist on my own. Dr. Jackson's bedside manner was also upsetting; he was insulting about my appearance and made me feel self conscious.
Not bad - seemed knowledgeable - but the wait was terrible and he only spent about 15 minutes with me.
Great Dr. and very personable and remedies affective!
Very pleasant. I will give Dr Jackson an 8 on a scale of 1:10
Hes an excellent doctor. very informative he also cleared my skin up dramatically he is my favorite doctor
It was worth the wait! The doctor was an expert in the field and knew exactly my skin condition. Will deft recommend.
If you do not mind waiting 2 or more hours to see Dr.Jackson and even after so he only spends 2 minutes with you then sure, go ahead and book that appt because he did help my acne a lot. I just wish I wouldn't be soooo aggravated every time i go to my visits, dreading the long wait.
Waited in waiting room for about an hour before being called into the room where he actually sees you. Waited in that room for half an hour before he actually came in the room. Armanda (girl who called me into the room) was great. Mr. Jackson barely stayed in the room with me because he seemed really busy and all over the place.
The doctor was patient, thorough and kind. He was also quite knowledgeable.
He was fine; his office was obnoxious. I filled out my reason for my visit on ZocDoc and personal information. When I got to the office I had to fill out 8 sheets where I had to record the same information over and over again. After 45 minutes, when I was finally brought to a room, I was asked again for my personal information and why I was there. When that office assistant left, another one come in and asked me the same questions again — this time to put into the computer system. So apparently they needed to documents in print to scan into my file and then to hear them in person to right them on my chart and then to hear them again in person to check the boxes for the online chart. When I told Dr. Jackson that this was a bit ridiculous, he said "welcome to the American medical system." I'd say "welcome to the 21st century." So if you want a great appointment for 1995, this is the doctor for you.
Not a great experience. Waited an hour and a half to be seen, while listening to the chatter of noisy daytime television AND the strains of Mariah Carey in the reception area. The doctor referred twice to my "husband" (I don't have one) and joked that his wife has taught him that "all women love coupons" (I don't) while throwing a few for sunscreen in my direction. Glad that I don't have skin cancer but unlikely to return.
This is the best Dermatologist of all time... Very cool guy, great office.
Dr. Jackson was very professional
I don't think he was that helpful..
Despite the wait, he was great and patient with me.
Administrative staff was attentive and processed my info quickly. The wait to see the doctor was long. When the doctor arrived he seemed rushed and was interrupted a few times. The doctor worked quickly and officiantly so the time to be diagnosed and treated was very short.
Great dermatologist. I didn't get the impression that he was trying to run off to another patient, he really wanted to make sure he answered all my questions and did a thorough job. The assistant Amanda and Dr. Jackson made all my prescriptions very clear. The one not so perfect thing was some disorganization among the staff, who seemed to not communicate well. All in all, I'd recommend him to anyone!
Friendly, polite staff. Clean, relaxed waiting lounge but ridiculously long wait. My time with the doctor felt rushed and there were several interruptions.
Dr. Jackson is amazing!!!' He is very personable and compassionate!!
The wait time "experience" improved drastically. I was very pleased with my consultation and recommendation. The reception area was not crowded and I was offered a hot beverage while I waited a negligible amount of time.
Very hospitable,, remarkably thorough and when procedure had to be done, it was painless and over in seconds.
The staff is incompetent. On one of my appointments I waited two hours and had to cancel because it took so long. I tried calling to get a refill on my prescription and was told I couldn't get one unless I was seen. I called back twice and spoke with a different receptionist who was able to get my prescription. The doctor is arrogant. I told him I was having problems with one of my medications and he replied that I was using it too much. I explained that I didn't think that was the issue and he said "okay let's make this idiot proof". Unbelievable! I changed doctors.
Only complaint is the wait time. Don't make other plans for the same day you see him. Otherwise, excellent doctor, thorough with solutions that work.
Very thorough examination, was satisfied.
Dr. Jackson was very thorough, and I'm very pleased with his service. Will most certainly recommend him to others.
After waiting for over an hour I felt like he was rushing with me because he had patients in the lobby and pharmaceutical reps waiting for his time.
Dr Jackson is knowledgeable, professional and shows kindness toward patients and staff. He is expediant in reconizing the diagnosis and seeking to treat/resolve the problems. He is a great teacher also.
While the wait time is long, once the doctor is in the room, he takes his time and makes sure to look at and listen to your concerns. He is very knowledgable and always starts with the least invasive treatment. He gives plenty of free samples and really cares about his patients.
Although the wait was a bit long, the professionalism, the delivery of the diagnosis, the very thorough explanation of my daughter's skin issues and what to do thereafter, as well as the way Dr. Jackson interacted with my 7 year old daughter, threw the waiting issue out the door. After several visits to my daughter's pediatrician, referrals and visits to other dermatologists, Dr. Jackson was The One to finally addressed my daughter's issues precisely and correctly. It was very well worth the wait.
Good doctor -- wait was longer than expected
Definitely very knowledgeable, however I waited very long to see him, and then I feel as if he rushed through things. I would go back, but it would be nice for more attention.
He is a wonderful Doctor.
Dr Jackson is an excellent dermatologist, he gets to the root of your problem, his staff is very professional and the office is clean.
I'm not sure of whether I like the doctor or not. He is confident, but the visit felt rushed. I would have for him to spend a little more time with me. I had a couple of questions that weren't answered.
He was friendly, and definitely knew what he was doing. The staff was also very nice. Unfortunately there was an extremely long wait time, but once the Doctor arrived, things move extremely quickly. I am excited to see how well the treatment works.
Consider Yourself Warned: I waited 2.5 hours on my first visit. Second visit went to get results of biopsy and had to wait almost 2 hours (even though I had the first appointment of the day). He didn't show up to the office until 1:40pm (appointment began at 12pm!!) He is a kind doctor, but takes no responsibility for his own actions. He actually blamed his office staff for his "not being on time" and actually said to me "however this is not a fast food joint where you can roll up and be served right there". Obviously it's not, because no one waits 2.5 hours for a fast food joint. I can not get into how unprofessional he was, but I do give you fair warning. Expect a very nice office, kind staff, ridiculous wait time, humor by the doctor to mask the wait time and unprofessional behavior from the doctor.
He was funny and friendly, but I had to wait two hours to see me, which I think is unacceptable.
Super nice, relatable, empathetic and thorough.
I think he is a great doctor and he takes his profession seriously
I have visited Dr. Jackson 3 times, and have waited over an hour two of the three times. At my last visit, I waited over an hour and a half, then the doctor spent about 5 minutes with me. I had an entire list of questions that I didn't have the chance to ask. Now, after waiting an hour and a half, and paying a pricey co-pay, I'll need to go to a dermatologist again, pay another copay, and repeat the song and dance to get my questions answered.
Dr. Jakson's office was impeccable. He was friendly and was willing to answer all of my questions. He and his staff listened to my concerns and responded accordingly. Hopefully when I return I'll have a clear face and another rave review. The only downside was the wait time, but it was because their computer system was acting up that day.
This is one good doctor. Best experience I have had with a medical practice and a doctor in a long time.
Dr Jackson is an excellent physician. He speaks with you and to you as a friendly yet understanding professional. Compassionate doctors are few in number. Dr. Jackson definately made the cut. The office staff are kind, the music in the exam room is excelllent and the office is very pleasant.
Condition was cured.
Loved his professionalism, the decor of the office was pleasant and the staff was very nice.. I got to my appointment 15 minutes early but had a long wait time after placing me in a room.. My overall experience was a plus and i would go back again minus the long wait time...
I chose Dr. Jackson due to the convenience of his office being in the neighborhood. The offices are nice and clean which are a plus. However, I had an extremely frustrating time regarding scheduling the appointment and wait time in the office. First off, ZocDoc had shown several slots of availability on the calendar for an upcoming Saturday, since I can't easily make it during the week due to work. Upon booking, I find out that they had overbooked for that day and needed to reschedule. So I did. I arrived 15 min early to my appointment in order to fill out forms. I was told it would be a 30 minute wait which is not ideal, but managable. I don't get called into the patient rooms for another 50 or so minutes. After taking my vitals, I'm left in the patient room being told the doctor would be in to see me. I wait and wait. After 35 minutes I leave the room to find out when the doctor would see me. I'm told I'm next. Finally Dr. Jackson comes in. Given the amount of wait time, I'd expect some attention to my symptoms and special care if they wanted me to return. None of that. He quickly dictated prescriptions, was in and out of the room a few times and now I realize he didn't give me a full diagnosis for one of my questions. The nurse was apologetic and by the looks of the waiting room, it seems like they try to book as many people as possible (likely to turn profit). I'd go here only out of necessity.
I'll never go back. I don't have that much time to wait for anyone, especially if his name is Michael Jackson and he's not the MJ who'll dance and sing for me. The wait both times I went was horrendous. And his bedside manner wasn't even that great once I finally made it into his office.
The wait was too long. Almost 3 hours. Ridiculous! The staff was pleasant as was he, but the office plays loud urban music. he looked at my son's skin and gave him about four samples of different treatments and he was 12 at the time and could barely reme4mebr the routine. There was no clear definition as to what was going on and it was not typical teenage acne but would never go back to this office because I don't feel anything was accomplished
the experience was good;however, the doctor needs to check the expiration date on medicine he gives.
Dr. Jackson is a very knowledgeable and thorough Dermatologist. His staff is great and his waiting room is very serene. It sets the tone for the rest of the visit.
I arrived on time for my appointment. Thirty minutes passed and my name still wasn't called. I asked the receptionist how long it wld be before I would be seen? She replied by saying "well the doctor isn't even here yet" (wow she could have atleast made up a good lie and said oh he's finishing up with another patient etc). She didn't even apologize! I finally get called back after 45min and I waited in the room for the doctor another 30 min. When Dr.Jackson came into the room he starts talking as if "its all good" not even an apology for his extreme lateness! There were other things that he said and did that made me extremely uncomfortable. Its unfortunate because his office is clean, and located in a great place but for the inappropriate comments and rudness from Dr.Jackson and his staff is not worth it!
It's been a long time since I've received such good service from a doctor's office. Everything was excellent, from the receptionist to the nurses/staff to Dr. Jackson! I say 5 stars all the way through!
I would recommend (which I have) him to anyone!
Dr. Jackson was able to help me in a practical way, he and the friendly staff listened carefully to my concerns and addressed them with great detail. I have a clear plan for my health issues. The office is clean and designed well and kid friendly. They even give sugar free lollipops for kids! A plus for me (a way to keep him occupied) and the little one.
Professional and very approachable. The staff was excellent and the office was immaculate!
The wait was unreasonable. I repeatedly tried to reschedule as I had been waiting for two hours, but the staff kept assuring me he'd see me any moment. When I was about to leave I was informed he could take me right then. I was led to a room where I had to wait another 30 minutes.
He was great!!
I saw Dr. Jackson for a rash I had on my side that turned out to be Shingles. He was really nice and so were his assistants. However, he did try to push some facial prescriptions on me...
i thought it was very friendly & nice !
Staff was pleasant, knowledgeable and efficient. Wait was too long. the Doctor seemed knowledgeable but because of the number of patients he sees, did not give a lot of time to this first time patient. He did seem like he cared: however, I just did not get all the information and assurance I was after. Nonetheless, I will go back for a follow up.
My visit with Dr. Jackson was a very positive experience. He has great bedside manner insuring that I was comfortable and at ease. He explained everything about my procedure making sure that it was clear and I understood. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a good dermatologist. Iris Robertson
Nice Doc, but it just took way toooooooooo long. 4 hours to have a mole removed, but they explained it's not a constant occurance.
He was really good!
