Excellent visit, great staff, Dr. Newton took the time to consider my eye problems and suggest new ways of treating what is apparently a chronic ailment. He also studiously checked my eyes for my DMV report without any hassle. Attractive knowledgeable staff, conscientious doctor...very pleased!

THE DOCTOR HIMSELF IS AMAZING! Really really nice, patient, thoughtful professional. Highly recommend. Unfortunately, the front desk is HORRIBLE!!!!!!!! I waited 90 minutes, with no reason why. When I continued to watch people arrive afterme and see the doctor before me I kept asking, with no response. I will come back here for the doctor, but please beware of the disorganized, unfriendly, unprofessional, careless front desk team (with quite the attitude as well) Schedule plenty of time around your appointment... And after everything, I got no apology, in fact they told me that I was rude and that I should apologize. Unbelievable in this day and age of customer service.

I could not be more pleased about my recent visits with Dr. Michael Newton. Dr. Michael Newton is the epitome of what any patient might want in a doctor. He is thorough in the questions he asks, he listens and heasks further questions to make sure he understands. He performs the diagnostic examinations he believes are required to arrive at an accurate diagnosis. He has top credentials and clearly knows his field of medicine (and more). Dr. Newton conducts himself in a totally professional manner, while at the same time he relates to patients on a compassionate and in an understanding manner. He is honest and forthright, but he also has savior faire in the manner of delivery of information about difficult issues, such as the range of possible complications that can result from treating or not treating the condition. I say “patients” because my wife and another person with whom I work have had similar experiences with Dr. Newton. However, I shall now take the time to give a recent specific example of my experience with him. On Sunday, June 11, 2017, I had a sudden onset of a huge floater in one eye. I called my ophthalmologist's office and requested a return call. First, the on-call ophthalmologist for that office (Pamel Vision) returned my call and, while that doctor was very helpful, that doctor had Dr. Newton call me because Dr. Newton has been my ophthalmologist for more than fifteen years and he is the doctor in that practice who is familiar with my eyes. Dr. Newton called me promptly afterwards. While he had been briefed by the on-call doctor, Dr. Newton spent the time necessary to thoroughly inquire and learn about the facts and circumstances preceding the onset of the huge floater. He advised me how to minimize the likelihood of doing anything to exacerbate my condition, explained the range of most likely reasons for the floater and what it most likely meant. He advised me about further indications of a worsening condition and was prepared to make emergency arrangements that day with a retinal specialist, if necessary; he also said that if my condition remained stable, he would help arrange for me to see a retinal specialist the next day. He answered all of my questions. Fortunately, my condition remained the same. Dr. Newton followed up by seeing me at his office promptly after that, confirming his belief (based on our discussion over the phone on Sunday) that I had a retinal tear resulting from a vitreous separation, and making immediate arrangements for me to see a retinal specialist. While Dr. Newton’s office staff just attended to greeting patients and matters of scheduling, they were courteous and accommodating. The retinal specialists who I saw, further confirmed Dr. Newton's diagnosis and laser surgery followed. Dr. Newton followed up with me after that to make certain there was no change in my vision (the change in my vision that I experienced was temporary). I cannot thank Dr. Newton enough for his professionalism and compassionate care in giving me proper medical advice when I needed it and helping me to get the immediate specialized treatment and laser surgery that I needed. I am well-aware that without appropriate care, the consequences could have resulted in blindness in one eye. I cannot thank Dr. Newton enough!

Dr. Newton himself was fine. He was knowledgeable but a little abrupt. He would ask me a question and cut me off mid sentence. This happened twice. Given this was my first visit I thought it was important to know theback story in order for him to evaluate me better. Apparently that was not necessary. As to the wait, over an hour. Way too long in my opinion. I noticed the appointments are 15 mins apart between patients. Doesn't seem enough time allocated for each patient for eye concerns so it's no wonder they were very backed up today. Also there was another doctor who was making snarky remarks about one of his patient behind that patient's back but in front of everybody else who was in the sitting area Not very nice or professional.

Dr. Newton is highly informative and well-versed in Ophthalmology. He is very helpful, as he offered me samples of eye drops I could use because for my blurry vision. He has a very kind bedside manner as well. Additionally, I wasseen right away, which compels me to come back to receive care under Dr. Newton again. Doctor is friendly and knowledgeable, I dont have any problem with him, but the staff really gave me unpleasant feeling. To name a few examples: 1. I checked in online through zocdoc, so the receptionist should have all my information. However, she still tried to ask for info from me. And she mistook my name with some else. (and she seems always having a "whatever" look on her face) 2. Doctor told me he will give me some proscription and receptionist will take care of it. Normally half hours later the medicine will be ready in my pharmacy. However, I waited 2 days, and my pharmacy still has not received any proscription from doctor. During the 2 days I made numerous calls to receptionist, and got picked up only once. Told me she will call me back, and then never heard of anything. I have to see other doctor to get proscription. Imagine if you need those medicine urgently. Gotta say this "Vision & Laser Group" office is terrible. Which patient would need a medical office which never return/answer your phonecall?

I am so pleased and relieved to have seen Dr. Newton this morning for my scratched cornea. His staff was well and organized and polite, and I had very little wait time. This is a first rate, upscale office. Dr. Newton wasvery professional, thorough with the exam and follow up instructions. Also, a wonderful young intern examined me first, I wish I could remember her name. I am returning in ten days for a follow up visit. I left the office feeling like I had been treated like one of Dr. Newton's long time patients, rather than an emergency last minute person. he made me feel like I was one of his long- time patients, rather than

There was a problem with my insurance that was not addressed until I was done with my visit. Had I known ahead of time it was not accepted I would have not seen the doctor and gone somewhere else. I shouldhave been told before I saw the doctor. This was a mistake on the office staff's part and not mine. I was made to feel like I did something wrong. Dr is terrific, office staff horrible.
