Dr. Rimawi, brings a wealth of knowledge & expertise to Grand Central Foot Care in Midtown East, Murray Hill, & the surrounding New York City area. As a board-qualified foot, rearfoot, and reconstructive ankle surgeon with specializations in traumatic foot and ankle injuries and complex deformities, he is able to offer his patients top-tier care no matter what problem they bring him. Dr. Rimawi earned his doctorate from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine, where he made his mark. Not only did he graduate above the 90th percentile of his class and serve as class president for four years, but he was also recognized with the Student Service Award. That award goes to the student voted by the graduating class as making the biggest impact on the field of podiatry. Beyond his peers’ recognition, Dr. Rimawi was inducted into the Pi Delta Honor Society for his achievements in his research and his studies. With those accolades to his name, Dr. Rimawi continued on to a three-year reconstructive foot and ankle surgery residency at DeKalb Medical Center and Jefferson Health. His colleagues and the hospital staff at the latter named him the Podiatric Resident of the Year. It’s no surprise, then, that Dr. Rimawi is still impressing in his field. He’s a published author and accomplished lecturer, as well as an associate of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. In the spare time Dr. Rimawi manages to carve out, he loves to read, hike, and root for his favorite sports teams

Dr Rimawi is kind, courteous, and wants to make sure that all issues are taken care of. I have seen him a few times and referred friends who have all had a wonderful experience. The office staff is efficient and helpful.
I've been here twice now for an ingrown toenail and Dr. Rimawi is excellent! Takes his time, explains the procedure and provides a variety of options and lists the pros and cons when it comes to treatment. Highly recommend!
Dr. Rimawi was nothing but respectful, knowledgable, thorough, and helpful. I would truly recommend him to anyone who was in need of a podiatrist! I cannot stress enough how much I appreciated how he handled every single appointment. Also, there is never any wait time which is an added bonus!
I was taken in immediately, no wait, even before all the paperwork was completed. Everyone was professional, and I left with a care plan that I feel would put me on the path to healing.
Pros: I was attended to so quickly, I was still filling out my intake form...which brings me to my con... Con: Dr. Rimawi, literally saw me for less than 5 minutes. I arrived at 4:30 and I believe I left at 4:40. I had been dealing with an issue my entire life and I really wanted to explore options. As I mentioned, I was still filling the intake form, so he didn't even glance at it to see what I had tried in the past. I've been using the treatment he suggested for the last few weeks, and as I expected, nothing has changed.
No waiting time, friendly staff, warm and thorough exam by Dr. Rimawi...overall an quick and easy visit.

I'm not someone who likes to admit that I'm in pain and always to try justify that it will go away or that it's really not that bad, so I feel funny going to the doctor's for "my foot hurting". Dr. RImawi was really helpful and while the issue wasn't a major one, was helpful in collaborating to solve the problem and assuring me it was an easy fix! He also shook my hand when he greeted me and when he left, I felt like I mattered!

Went in to see Dr. Rimawi about a recurrence of a Tailor's Bunion (and as a 2nd opinion on the issue), and it went great! I arrived to his office 5 minutes before my appointment, and his staff had already prefilled my paperwork with the info from Zocdoc (I've experienced so many that don't, and make you re-do it all), and I was into the room to see him right away. He was extremely knowledgeable, and his bedside manner was tremendous. He explained my options, without putting pressure on me to jump to surgery or even to do anything right away (suggesting to take my time to decide). Highly recommend.
