Patient reviews for Dr. Monica Simons
Rushed, there was someone training accompanying the nurse practitioner and I wasn’t asked if that was okay. The trainee was also the one who did Pap smear, she didn’t know how to get the cotton swap off the thing so while she was being taught I had to sit there very uncomfortably with the speculum inside of me while she figured it out. Super uncomfortable experience and I felt like I wasn’t the focus of the appointment at all
Clean office, nice staff, moved quickly. I was in and out in 30 minutes.
Last visit 4/29. Great doctor with fantastic staff. She’s my regular and obgyn doctor. Clean office.
Rachel was great. Very quick but efficient and ready and willing to answer any questions I had.
She’s a really amazing doctor.
Waiting area, back office and exam room clean and tidy!! Staff was courteous. I understand that there is preparation before each patient however, my call out is that some of the instruments should stay in the plastic until the doctor or practitioner comes into the room and opens them in front of patient not just be sitting there on the tray. Overall it was a good experience.
I was seen very quickly , it was a warm and comfortable office and the most relaxed GYN appointment I’ve ever had in my life! Her bedside manner was wonderful and informative.
Super fast. I felt very comfortable and got the feedback I needed right away!
I was happy with doctor Rachel from Monica Simons staff until last week after I received a positive result of an infection I decided to cancel my vacation plan. I was having uncomfortable symptoms due the infection. The doctor denied sign me a paper to present my insurance saying that i have an actual infection. Results were POSITIVE and she proscribed Antibiotics. She says in her opinion was not a reason for cancel a vacation. For me it was. I can’t go to another country with symptoms and feeling so uncomfortable. As a women, im seriously disappointed. I decided not no come back to this office after 4 yrs and look for a nicer and more ethical doctor.
Very fast- not personal at all. If you are looking to have more of a personal doctor experience and be checked more thoroughly then this isn’t the place. Front desk girls were more interested in talking to their boyfriends who were there visiting them.
This is the best women’s health clinic I have ever been to, and I’ve moved states 4 times in the last 10 years so I’ve had to go to a few different doctors.
Her staff is friendly, her waiting area clean, and wait time minimal. However, I thought Dr. Simons' bedside manner was rather bizarre and unprofessional. She came off as condescending and brusk. After a procedure, she started explaining to me about how my period might come back, and I simply told her that it had never stopped. She suddenly burst into fake boohoo tears and said, "wahhh, I'm sowwy," and while still fake-whimpering, left the room. Perplexing. I still think about such baffling, childish behavior from a doctor. Also, the other rooms where they take your vitals are well-lit, but oddly her consultation room is always kept with the lights off, and you sit there waiting in the dark, with fake candles speckled about, naked from the waist down. Bizarre, am I being romanced? I suppose they are trying to make you feel comfortable, or create a less clinical setting, but it is a MEDICAL office. Why am I sitting here in a dark room? Overall, a silly and strange practice, with a condescending and bizarre-mannered doctor.
The best gynecologist office I've ever had.
I was seen by the Nurse Practitioner and not by Dr. Monica Simons. Dr. Joshua was very nice and knowledgeable.
Absolutely fantastic! Everyone was so nice and the whole vibe of the office was super comfortable. I was in and out in 30 min. It’s safe to say I’m definitely coming back here :)
Every time I come in I wait over 30 minutes just to be seen and then wait another 15 just for someone to come into the room. The front desk staff is rude and will not work with you. Has gone down hill. Will not return.
I didn’t find Dr Simons very personable or warm.
Great friendly staff!
Very informative. I met with one of the nurses, not Monica, but she gave me so much important information that my previous gynecologist had not given me and really helped me out a lot.
The atmosphere of the office as well as the examination rooms were phenomenal. The staff were very welcoming and pleasant to interact with. I will definitely be returning. I recommend you check it out for yourself, I didn’t have any complaints.
Filling out my paperwork ahead of time was definitely why this appointment went smooth. I arrived at 8:50 for a 9:10 appointment, was called into the first room by 9, and out the door by 9:13!! Couldn’t believe how friendly each and every staff member was. I saw the NP and she was wonderful, answered all my questions and provided advice and said I could call her whenever with questions. I couldn’t believe how wonderful visiting the gyno was!
My experience here has been extremely upsetting and in my opinion, unprofessional. Given a confusing call about test results, I made an appt to discuss the results because I was told that was the only possible way to have any discussion. Every staff member was rude upon arrival and told me I shouldn’t have made the appointment and that I hadn’t read the portal results closely enough, or else I would’ve known not to make the appt (which had obscurely detailed a medical guideline I would have had no idea how to interpret). The nurse practitioner was extremely condescending, which I felt was inappropriate given the sensitivity of the situation. I am now dealing with charges from this painful 5 minute visit and am told there’s nothing to be done about it. All throughout the process, I have been treated with inflexibility, callousness, and a lack of proper communication. I cannot recommend enough that you find someone else for your medical services.
This appt was with a nurse practitioner, not the doctor, but it was quick and professional!
She is so pleasant and patient. Most definitely recommended.
Best office. Wouldn’t go anywhere else.
Dr.Simons was incredibly insightful and made me feel so comfortable.
Dr. Simons is very kind and professional.
I could almost cry... a 7 year search has finally ended. The office and staff were amazing. So glad I found Dr. Simmons and her associates.
Super nice office and never a long wait. Very nice nurses and always feel comfortable!
I've seen Doctor Simon's for a few years. While she is gentle and professional (as is her entire staff), I have often felt quickly dismissed about concerns and have had to return and pay multiple times to get the same issues addressed. Her hours are extremely limited because she is only in the office two days a week and the office's automated system makes it impossible to get anyone in the office on the phone. Overall it's been a frustrating patient experience. Would recommend the team adopts an easier path for communication, especially with regular patients. Would also suggest they take more time to educate patients, being straight to the point is great, but I've often left confused and unsure.
I think she's really friendly, and very quick to the point.
Loved the aura of the office and kind staff.
She's so friendly and addresses all my concerns. Always makes me feel very comfortable when I come in. Highly recommended.
The wait time was very little. Went in for an initial checkup and inquiry about IUD birth control and to get blood taken. Entire time spent was an hour, so great to not wait a long time and be in and out on a lunch break more or less. The checkup room was lit with fake candles and the lights were turned off for the initial exam. I thought it was a little weird. I mean no one likes going to the gyno, so I'm just looking for a Clean, sterile environment, not a spa visit. Maybe this makes some people more comfortable, but it felt a little weird to me. but that's just my personal opinion. The exam was quick and easy. I did feel that after though, Dr Simons was maybe too rushed to take the time to fully answer any questions and concerns I had about the copper IUD. I've gone thorough having a hormonal IUD inserted and removed, and while the experience wasn't awful for me, it is invasive and not something I would likely try out without considerable thought first. It's not like getting bangs and if you don like them, you just let it grow out. It's a big decision for a woman's body. And I've had several unsatisfactory experiences with OBGYNs not fully explaining all the symptoms and what to expect or telling me it won't cause certain symptoms and then I experienced those exact symptoms. Its very individual, but Id like to know all the information when making this decision. So I felt I had to pull the information out of her as far as timing for scheduling the insertion appointment, what pain level to expect, how long the procedure would take. typical side effects, if it required a recovery period. Typical responses from her patients who have this birth control, medications I can take before hand, any necessary adjustment periods to the IUD, how long to wait to have sex again, warning signs to look out for etc. fairly normal, standard questions that I feel should be covered. I felt that my questions were rushed and concerns not taken seriously or past reactions to previous hormonal IUD vs what to expect with the non hormonal copper IUD were not fully explained until I kept asking for further information. Very frustrating when already female birth control can be very exhausting on a woman's body. I feel very confident she would be 100% capable to handle the procedure and would feel safe and comfortable in her hands. But the whole consultation after felt a bit too rushed when it feels like an important decision.
Very clean and comforting office. The dimly lit rooms made for a relaxing energy and the staff was very helpful.
Very sweet and professional, her assistant and all the staff were sweet as well. Felt welcomed and the location is clean.
Amazing! She made me feel so relaxed and unashamed. I recommend her 100%!
She’s amazing so sweet. Did not feel uncomfortable at all. Highly recommend.
Dr.Simmons is the best. I I have been going to her for over ten years. She makes you feel comfortable and answers all questions.
She is So great! very sweet. will work with you.
Dr.Simons was extremely gentle and showed great, genuine concern for me as a new patient. At no point did I feel awkward or tense. I would highly recommend her to anyone.
First time going, everyone was so helpful
Loved the office, it was very calming. The nurse practitioner was very professional and efficient.
Similar to my first visit a year ago everything went very well, in a timely manner and excellent bedside manners and advices. I highly recommend Dr Simons.
I usually don’t trust many doctors, but Every Woman Wellness is amazing. Very relaxed feel, and they get you in and out for your day. Highly recommend.
This is such an amazing office! Had an 8:20am appointment and was put by 8:31am (completed paperwork in advance).
This was the absolute worst encounter I have ever had with a medical professional and I would discourage anyone from ever seeing her. She has absolutely awful bedside manner. She YELLED at me because I commented about needing to be seen sooner since I had another appointment scheduled after her one. She charges a $100 cancellation fee, and yet she does not make an effort to see patients on time. I waited 30 minutes to be seen before she yelled at me and there was still another patient before me. I left the appointment because I was not comfortable seeing a physician who would yell at me for asking to be seen sooner. All she had to do was apologize. When I initially spoke to the attendant about this, she also yelled at gave me an attitude, which I had planned to mention to the doctor, until she herself treated me much worse than the receptionist. This office is run by a group of bitter women who have no respect for people. I would highly discourage anyone from ever going to her
She’s the best! She’s so gentle and considerate. The office is really comforting. Can’t recommend enough.
