Qualifications and Experience
During residency training, her research focused on novel drug delivery mechanisms using laser pulse to release drugs from large carrier molecules. She was recognized for her research by the Texas Medical Association and was awarded the Barry Uhr MD, 1st prize in resident research, the Mary Bass Boenker Scholar Award for Excellence in research, and the 35th Annual Alamo City Ophthalmology clinical conference first place in research. After completing her residency training, Dr. Agange went on to pursue fellowship training as the Rosalind Alcott Fellow in Medical Retina at the prestigious UCLA Jules Stein/Doheny Eye institute. Dr. Agange is a well-rounded clinician, researcher, and educator having published multiple peer reviewed articles, and participated in the training of medical students, and ophthalmology residents. Dr. Agange is fluent in medical Spanish and conversational Farsi. She is a dedicated wife, daughter and sister, and is enjoying her new role as mom to her newborn son. She is committed to her patients and helping them maintain healthy vision.
