I had some normal worries and she answered all of my questions. The staff was super nice as well.
I recently relocated from NJ and selected this doctor for my care now that I'm in NY. This was my first time at this office and everyone was a pleasure. Dr. Villanueva was thorough, informative and easy to converse with about a variety of medical concerns and questions. I am very happy with the service and care and think that I have found a new doctor. I highly recommend this doctor and the team.
I really like her. Will tell others about ho
She's personable and made me feel comfortable. No complaints here.
I've been a patient of Dr. Villanueva's for several years now. She's always professional, attentive and personable. Her staff has always been nice and accommodating!
She is fabulous! Down to earth, easy going, and I felt immediately at ease discussing details with her!
very pleasant office- the entire staff is warm and friendly and Dr. Villaneuva is amazing!
The office for some reason didn't receive a confirmation from ZocDoc but they were so kind and squeezed me in anyway. Dr. Villanueva was very professional and helpful. I will definitely go back to her for my next checkup.
Dr Villlanueva is great. Everything you want & need in a doc.
She is awesome. I don't have words to thank her for all she did through my pregnancy. Kept me informed, calmed, and made me feel that me and my baby were in good hands
Terrible experience. Would not recommend solely because of front desk. Had to jump through many hoops filling out insurance information that I do not have readily available given my company acquisition process switching medical benefits. Front desk requires a copy of insurance card, which I do not have on file in the company transfer process and I spent several hours communicating with my original health insurance, current health insurance because the front desk was not willing to do so and with limited customer engagement.
Poor bedside matter, has quite the attitude. Attempted to follow up with her, she didn't come to the phone, just had her secretary call me back and tell me my insurance didn't cover the services, without any options/ alernatives. Wouldn't go back.
After reading several reviews that weren't exactly favorable, I went to Dr. Villanueva's office with a bit of trepidation. Luckily, I kept an open mind and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Dr. Villanueva was more than personable and thorough. She answered all of my questions and made me feel comfortable by easing the fears that have been plaguing me for the past few weeks. I honestly felt like I was speaking to a friend who I've known for years and I couldn't have been more grateful to feel that way. Dr. Villanueva, her associates and staff were fantastic and I'd absolutely recommend her and her practice to expectant mothers and those looking for an excellent gyn!
This is now my second consecutive year of seeing Dr. Villanueva for my annual ob/gyn exam. She is incredibly friendly and easy to talk to. She makes great recommendations for my health and makes me feel comfortable during the exam.
I would NOT recommend this practice or this doctor to anyone!!!Dr. Villanueva's, bedside manner is severely lacking. Empathy and Compassion are two things she knows nothing about. In addition, she ordered lab work that I did not approve and now I am stuck with a hufe bill from the lab. I have contacted the office several times and they aren't helpful at all. By all means avoid this place all together. I am very disappointed in the service here probably the worst doctor experience I have ever had. DO NOT GO HERE. YOU will be ripped off, her office billed my insurance company for services when I only went in for an annual routine pap.
I thought Dr.Vilanueva was very professional and asked the right questions. I would highly recommend her.
Dr.Villanueva was able to be both incredibly efficient and super warm/welcoming at the same time. Her staff was very kind as well. Will definitely be coming back!
She never really paid attention to my concerns, I felt like she did not care, actually I asked for some prescriptions and she or the secretary forgot about it!!!! No I done recommend this doctor.
I like her, she made me feel very comfortable and encouraged me to ask questions. Showed interest in my general well being and not only the reason for my visit
Dr Villanueva was very pleasant we spoke on other subject besides my health which very nice and relaxing since I was a little worried she made me feel at ease
Great experience overeall
Like always its like seeing an old friend. She has been my GYN for 13 years now since she delivered my son.
Ive had a HORRIBLE experience at Dr. Rachel Villanueva, MD office. I went in for my annual. I waited 45 minutes. Opted to get a full STD screening. THREE people tried to take my blood sample, NONE could get a vein (min you I ate and drank a ton of water before my appointment). One of the woman who tried to take my blood stuck into my arm and literally started to swivel it in my arm as a haphazard way to find my vein. Once all the assistants failed to access a vein (please note that I am an physically active 27 year old biracial woman and I have no medical issues) ,the office then choose to fill out a script for the STD screening to Quest lab (the specific form I had received was for was quest lab and I was advised to make to make an appointment online) . I go to Quest lab and this lab DOES NOT take my insurance. I called the office and asked them how did this happen. The office then tells me that Quest lab should have notified me of the insurance issue. REALLY!!!! This office sent me the INCORRECT script, then proceeds to put the blame elsewhere. The office then informed me that I would have to call on Monday to recieve the correct paperwork. Incompetency level (on a scale of 1-10) is a 10, Customer service ( on a level of 1-10) is a 0. DO NOT BOOK AN APPOINTMENT HERE.
She's very friendly and doesn't make you feel rushed with your visit. Definitely recommend!
Dr Rachel Villanueva was so rude to me that my jaw dropped. As a cherry on the top they charged me for procedure that I never had! My insurance company is going to investigate. Horrible, horrible, horrible!!!
She is amazing! Very kind!
I have had better experiences before. She doesn't listen and cut me off when I was speaking. Didn't feel comfortable with her at all. She made the pap smear's process very uncomfortable. She is knowledgeable but I wish I obtained more info. Sorry, but not my type of gynecologist!
Dr. Villanueva has been so great since I started seeing her. She's always very thorough, knowledgable and takes her time with you! She's very friendly and is always able to answer any questions I have. I also never feel rushed with her which is a huge bonus!
Dr. Villanueva is great! I'm not usually comfortable with OB/GYN visits, but she made me feel comfortable and assured. She took the time to answer my questions about my health and IUDs, and when it came time for the procedure, she walked me through the steps. I would absolutely recommend her.
I absolutely love Dr. Villanueva. She is so kind, and actually spends time answering any and all questions. The staff is great. Even getting blood work done is completely painless. I can't recommend her highly enough
It was the most horrible experience. I actually cried after. I never been this disrespected by a doctor. First she made me wait long. second she was trying to convince me to do a procedure i did not want and have time for because she took so long. I mentioned that I was on my lunch break, she chastised me for asking a question and for telling her that I was on my lunch break. When asked about different forms on birth control, she mentioned they "don't do that here, and that i should try planned parent hood". I felt belittled and hurt. and extremely discriminated. she made me feel unwelcome, and I assume this is not the first time, she has done this to patients! Please STAY AWAY from Dr. Rachel Villanueva!
Ok, will not go back. Staff not very friendly, facility is old
She listens! It's like we really had a conversation!
She is a very pleasant person and made me feel comfortable for such an invasive examination. The exams are made at the office, very convenient.
Dr. Villanueva was great. She took her time addressing all my questions. She didn't rush me out and it was the most comfortable exam I have ever gotten. The staff was friendly and helpful and the office was very clean.
Dr. Villanueva is very friendly and she eased me nervousness and answered my concerns patiently.
Well worth the wait. I highly recommend Dr. Villanueva! She is personable and kind and made me feel so at ease I almost forgot she was examining me! So happy I found her!
The visit was great. She was super attentive and friendly. Officially my GYN forever! My only concern is the following (which is unrelated to her performance as a doctor obviously..): I need to take birth control bc I get bad cramps to the point of passing out. I tried to call her office to get a refill and I had seen her 3 months before and they kept saying I had to go back in. Why!? That makes no sense. Super frustrating.
Extremely satisfied, she is awesome.
Y'all scared me. Based on the reviews I thought, "Well this will probably be a bad experience, but it's too late to cancel." Boy was I wrong! Dr. Villanueva was kind, a good listener and she tried to make me comfortable. I had no problem telling her about my health and she was super helpful. I have found my doctor!
Dr. Villanueva's nurses and receptionists were friendly, efficient, and professional. The doctor was informative and she had an upbeat, energetic bedside manner.
The front office staff was pretty straight forward. Dr. Villanova was excellent a real advocate for women's health. Open to questions and very kind.
My recent appointment with Dr. Villanueva was very pleasant. My wait time was a little long, but that was only because it was my first visit to the office and it took a little while to verify insurance, etc. The entire staff, from the reception to nurses, are all extremely polite, efficient and knowledgeable. Unlike most other doctors I have visited, Dr. Villanueva has me come into her office for a consultation before beginning my exam. She was very honest with me about my health and eating habits, but did not make me feel bad - just encouraged and advised me how to do better. Her bedside manner during the exam was lovely, did not make me feel uncomfortable in any way, and she is very thorough in her work. It seems that Dr. Villanueva's office is mainly for women who are expecting, and I was only there for an annual exam (not pregnant, just a check up). But I have no complaints about the doctor, her staff or her practice. I highly recommend Dr. Villanueva to anyone who is looking!
Excellent! Really enjoyed meeting Dr. Villanueva and highly recommend her and her practice!
Rachel was amazing a so personal. I'm So glad I found her!
She's professional and very smart. There is a long wait time though.
Very down to earth, knowledgeable, thorough and made me feel very comfortable. Would recommend her to anyone!
Dr. Villanueva is great, I have had nothing but solid experiences with her. The reason I dread using her office, and am likely going to change doctors soon, is that her receptionists and entire office staff are rude, bored, and act like taking a call from you, or signing you into their office is the worst inconvenience you could have imposed on them. I've been in for appointments 5-6 times now, and every last person I have interacted with except for Dr. Villanueva has infuriated me with how little they care. Beware!
Dr Villanueva always takes her time and addresses any questions or concerns I have. I have had two baby's with the practice and both experiences were terrific. I have and would recommend Dr Villanueva to anyone looking for a good doctor.
Very rude, not a good experience.
She is personable and easy to speak with. Further, she brings personality to the profession/job/business as usual.
She is personable knowledgable and a great Doctor.
Felt like she felt like I was wasting her time. Made me feel like I wasted my time AND money. Never going back.
Dr. Villanueva is an incredibly smart and supportive, Ob Gyn. I would trust anyone else with the delivery of my children or my reproductive health needs.
Rachel was great, the wait time was a bit long.
Overall the appointment was a very average visit. Easy & quick check in process, which was nice. Although I felt a little rushed when meeting with the doctor. I wouldn't say I had a bad appointment but I will not be raving to my friends.
Rachel was super nice and friendly, efficient but still careful and gentle. Happy to have found her!
The checking in process was efficient and the wait under 30.minutes. I was able to go on my lunch hour without being late back to work. Dr. Villanueva was very professional and addressed all my concerns. I would highly recommend her.
I was there to discuss getting a copper IUD, since I no longer want to be on hormonal birth control. She asked if I had ever had children, and when I said no, she immediately said that this wasn't the birth control she'd recommend for me. She kept recommending other hormonal birth control, obviously not having paid attention to me saying that I wanted to be off hormonal birth control. That said, her overall manner was friendly enough, and she said that ultimately it was my decision, but she was giving me advice on what had worked well/best for her other patients. So I believe she has good intentions, but I didn't really feel like she was listening to my main concerns, nor asking the right questions (ie what about hormonal birth control bothers you?)
Dr. Villanueva was very smart and knowledgeable but her bedside manner was lacking. She seemed to think I was stupid when I asked questions and she sort of raised her voice at me. Overall the experience was fine and I will probably go back to her, but only because it's such a pain to find a new doctor.
courteous, pleasant, took time to provide info to me and answered all my Qs. Had same experience last year.
She was rude. Condescending. Absolutely horrendous. She shoved the instruments inside me, crudely. Literally, the worst experience I've had with a doctor. So incredibly disappointed.
I thought she was really friendly, reassuring, and efficient. I was worried because earlier reviews mentioned that she was cold/rushed/brusque. I didn't find her to be so at all. She gets to the point, and she is super nice, both of which I appreciate.
I finally found my OBGYN after changing 3 different doctors for the past 6 months.
Unsympathetic, cold, condescending. Rolled her eyes at questions I asked. Just terrible experience all around.
She's not very nice, which is unacceptable given how exposed a woman is at the OBGYN. She was cold and impatient and did not make me feel comfortable asking questions.
Very personable. Thorough. Definitely going back!
Dr. Villanueva made me feel very comfortable. She is super nice and I will definitely come back!
Quick, Concise and easy. She is gentle and thorough when answering questions
Knowledgeable, quick and friendly.
She is very friendly, efficient, and supportive.
Wonderful doctor, friendly and makes you feel at ease right away!
Very friendly and makes you feel extremely comfortable.
Everyone was very friendly, I was seen right away and all my questions were answered.
I have a timed appointment but waited about an hour+ before going into the room. Even after that i waited for about 10+ mins to see the Doc. I'm guessing the Doc was REALLY busy. This was the fastest check up I have had. (not sure if i like that). I have mixed feelings.
Dr. Villanueva was great! As a 1st timer, She made me feel very comfortable erasing any awkwardness that's sometimes experienced when visiting an MD for the 1st time (especially a GYN). Would def recommend Villanueva to fam/fiends.
She was nice, but my appointment felt very rushed.
There was a little bit of a wait in the waiting room...I think the appointment was shorter than the wait time. But ultimately Dr. Villanueva was very friendly and sweet, and did a nice job of maintaining friendly small talk, which did some nice distracting from the awkwardness of the examination. :-)
Will definitely go back to her again.
It seemed like the doctor was in a rush while she was in the room with me. Looked at her watch. I waited for her for 45 minutes. She was practically yelling while she was talking to me. Please tone it down! I was not interested in having everyone in the building hear our conversation.
Yes, I would recommend this doctor. She is very courteous and professional. The waiting time is okay.
I liked the doctor very much. She was to the point, addressed all the concerns thoroughly and very professional. I would return again.
I was not so comfortable with her as patient, because she was rushing and not listener. I never want to go back.
Read negative reviews on Dr Villanueva but I was very happy with her
She was not helpful at all...very rude and did not listen to what I was asking
On the whole, it was a good visit. She answered my questions and explained everything to me clearly. The wait was a bit longer than I would have liked, but the exam itself took almost no time at all. I wish she would have taken a bit more time easing into the exam, but it was still a good experience.
She may be a knowledgeable doctor, but that does not make a good doctor. Maybe it was an off day for her, but her beside manner was horrible. The vibe I got was that she had somewhere else to be or that I was wasting her time. Rather than being instructive and helpful I felt rushed and the environment was just tense.
I thought she was very personable. She answered all of my questions
