After finishing her medical schooling at Subash Chandra Bose Medical College in Jabalpur, India, Dr. Chawla then completed her Internal Medicine residency at Rush-Westlake, an affiliate of Rush Presbyterian Hospital and Westlake Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. In her free time, Dr. Chawla enjoys spending time with her family and finding time for hobbies such as hiking, reading, and cooking. Dr. Chawla is excited to join Overlake Internal Medicine Associates and looks forward to welcoming new patients to her practice.

Excellent doctor
Dr. Chawla was very warm and approachable. I visited with her to get a sense of whether I'd like to use her as my primary care physician, and she was very honest about what she treats vs. when she refers her patients to other specialists. The only off-putting experiences I had were with the front desk admins and intake nurse; none of them greeted me warmly or even introduced themselves before giving me directions. It was a very stark contrast to my experience with Dr. Chawla.

Dr. Chawla took so much time to listen to my concerns, ask questions, and explain why she was asking every question. I felt completely comfortable and completely confident that she was trying to have a complete picture. She referred me for blood work, which was handled on-site within fifteen minutes. The office staff was professional and kind, and I had a very short wait.
