Patient reviews for Dr. Robert Berg
Dry sense of humor, but great doctor, honest and upfront.
Dr. berg is a fantastic doctor with an incredible amount of knowledge. He’s honest and direct while still being kind. Rated 4 not 5 for bedside manner because some patients might need more verbal coddling. He clearly cares about his patients based on how much time he spends with he—actually listening. Would highly recommend Dr. Berg for both Ob and Gyn.
Brutal bedside manner. Would not recommend.
Dr. Berg is very professional. His staff is very courteous and helpful.
Dr Berg is wonderful however some of his front desk are not professional. Yelling over the counter to patients regarding questions.
I'll start off by saying that finding the suite took me a while. I felt so lost because there's no directory telling you the floor or direction of the office. The office, once you find it, appears quite outdated. My wait time was an hour and 15 minutes just to go into the room, then another 15 minutes inside the room, which I find excessive, especially considering I saw the doctor relaxing in the front desk and taking a walk to go see a dog (his words). Not sure a patient is prioritized here. While I was greeted nicely by the woman at the front desk, I was turned off initially by their lack of privacy. During my wait, I learned that a woman needed to have a mammogram and colposcopy and the address of a few other patients because they tend to speak so loudly. The doctor's attitude was interesting, he dismissed many of my questions and made me feel like I'm being ridiculous for asking such questions. When I explained my cycle was becoming longer, he was like "do you like having your periods?" I'm like well I'm a woman, it comes with the package, I really don't care getting them, I have a legitimate concern. He stated that periods are disgusting and would rather not discuss it; you're a GYN who treats women but you're uncomfortable speaking about periods? I'm confused. And of course, he's just another GYN forcing birth control pills down your throat, even though I was there because I'm trying to conceive. All in all, I waited a full hour and a half to have a 10-minute consultation and left with more questions than I came in with. Will not be returning. Thanks.
Dr. Berg took the time to explain everything to me, which I really appreciated.
It was a great appointment! I was initially a little nervous going to a male Obgyn, I know it's silly but I haven't had one before. But Dr. Berg was really great! There was barely a wait time even though I went on a Saturday. Everyone at the office was really nice and I was immediately at ease. Dr. Berg has a great bedside manner and he answered all my questions (I had a ton). He never made me feel rushed at all and he is very knowledgeable. Definitely going to make him my primary Obgyn. So glad I found such a great doctor and such a great office!
First time waited more than an hour. 2nd time, appt with ZocDoc apparently did not even go through. He saw me promptly anyway and we agreed on a plan of action for my treatment. Over a month and 2 left messages later, he has never returned my calls. Went to see someone else and stopped bothering.
Dr. Berg is wonderful. He treated me successfully where others have failed. I did surgery with him January 2016 and was apprehensive about how successful it would be. I must say, I have had a complete life change. Thank you Dr. Berg!
If you desire a physician who LISTENS to your symptoms to treat you effectively and successfully? This is your man. Experience is EVERYTHING, hands down, the best GYN I've ever been treated by.
Dr. Berg is a very tell is like it is guy, which is what I want in a doctor. He was super funny and throughly answered all my questions to detail. The staff was also friendly and helpful.
Despite the fact that my appt was at 2pm and he did not see me until 3pm. He was prompt in examining me right away and discussing my options. He was even a little funny which helps.
This was my fourth visit with Dr Berg and this was the last. Every time i have visited i have waited over an hour and a half- even when i show up to my appointment early. When the doctor finally sees me he is unprofessional and makes me feel uneducated when i simply am asking questions to further understand what is going on with my body. He also told me i must enjoy getting my period and must enjoy getting cramps since that is the only reason to not be on birth control. Declining birth control is my choice and my doctor should respect that, he should not be mocking my decision. Overall, horrible experience and definitely looking forward to switching doctors.
Altgough i received an 11am confirmation, when I called to confirm they said my appointment was for 11:45am.
He does not speak Spanish/no habla español. He did look for the answers to my questions on internet/buscaba la respuesta a mis preguntas en internet. One hour and a half waiting/una hora y media esperando.
The doctor was nice and pleasant, but the office was horrible. Small and overcrowded. I had to wait for at least 21/2 hours to be seen because the doctor was late. At the end of all this torture they didn't bill my insurance properly and the bill for services was sent directly to me. I had to call and straighten it out with the lab. I would never ever under no circumstance will go back to this office ever again!!!!!
Very cool and friendly doctor. The wait time was a little long. But I heard a lot of good reviews about him and gave him a try, and was not disappointed.
Dr. Berg was awesome as always! Of course I had to wait for over an hour to be seen because babies don't care when you appt is and the doctor is always at his deliveries. I will keep seeing him for future pregnancies and gynecology appts.
The doctor was nice but this technology is really old
The doctor's office said they did not receive my information.
He's been my doctor for almost 20 years, so I like him
Fabulous as always! Staff is courteous, attentive, and knowledgeable. Dr. Berg Rocks and his Nurse practitioner is fabulous as well. I always leave feeling great and well. All issues and concerns addressed and my needs accommodated.
I've been a patient of Dr. Berg's for 10 years - always find their office to be courteous and professional. Dr. Berg is very personable and has always made me feel comfortable.
I had been worrying about this medical problem for over a month and was really looking for answers and to be reassured that I was fine. He only asked what was wrong and asked nothing else. No medical history, no questions of why this might be happening, why I'm concerned etc. He examined my cagina for less than one minute and said I'm fine and to not worry and then left. I waited for over an hour, was seen for less than five minutes, and do not feel comforted or even sure that I am fine. I have been to the female doctor here before and would go to her again but I will never see Dr. Beth again and do NOT recommend him.
The doctor was nice professional and confident.
The wait can be long but the staff is competent and gracious.
Dr. Berg is wonderful, but his office staff is terrible.
Dr. Berg is great. He's really understanding and thorough. He explained all my options really well. Also, I was able to get an appointment on the same day, which was a very big plus.
Overcrowded, poor service, and too much sass from reception.
Very good. He answered all my questions and concerns.
Dr Berg is an excellent physician, however, his office wait time will raise your blood pressure.
Booked him through this site and I have to say, such a great find! I was his las appointment of the day so the office was pretty empty. My entire visit including wait time was about an hour, but he was very informative, gentle and I left feeling very at ease as well as informed. I will without a doubt be returning to Dr.Berg for the remainder of my pregnancy and after as well. He was great and I highly recommend him.
He was fantastic!
I made my appointment early in the morning and got a confirmation within an hour. Unknown to Dr. Berg, his office had cancelled all his appointments that day because he was in surgery, but they didn't cancel mine. (Probably because I just made it that morning.) However, despite this, Dr. Berg was at the office. (He was the ONLY one in the office, in fact!) and he took great care of me. I'm a new patient and had a hard time finding a doctor to see me right away. He was great, answered all my questions, and was able to give me the hard details of my predicament with professionalism and compassion. I would highly recommend him to anyone seeking an obstetrician. He has an office in Queens and in the city- BONUS!
I liked Dr. Berg, despite being kept waiting 45 minutes. He was very informative during the consultation. Did not like being asked to fill out forms prior to appt. that matched the forms I'd filled out online. Staff paid very little attention to people in waiting room.
Dr. Berg is a great doctor and all around good guy. I've been his patient for a long time and am grateful to have found him! Of course, goes without saying, I highly recommend him. Like all good doctors who are in demand, wait time can be a bit long. No matter, it's always worth the wait and expected since he's delivering babies at a moment's notice. Bring along a book!
I was horrified. I went to see Dr. Robert Berg for the first time, and I'm used to having doctors talk me through the procedure, and warn me in advance on what they're going to do, and how uncomfortable the procedure might feel. But nope, Dr. Berg just went right for it. Didn't ask me how I was doing, or what's been wrong. He knew that I only wanted my pap smear, so he just went straight to the procedure. Didn't warn me that he was going to insert the clamp in or warn me that it'll hurt a bit. His bedside manner was rude and unprofessional.
My visit was just okay
I like Dr. Berg. He listened to me, gave numerous options, talked to me about them, and supported my decision. He took very good care of me.
Straight to the point
Appointment was good but we waited an hour and 40 mins...
No nonsense, frank, competent, efficient doctor. I've been going to him for years. Did a great job with my emergency C section.
Dr. Berg is very concise and direct. I appreciate this quality in him. He is well informed and very professional.
I am very happy with Dr. Berg. Gave me options, treated me respectively and listened.
Dr. Berg made inappropriate, judgmental comments about my profession. When the medicine he prescribed me felt like it was burning a hole in my face, he and his office failed to return my multiple calls.
Today was my first pre-natal visit ever. This is my first pregnancy, and I was nervous and excited to see the doctor. Dr. Berg was gracious and accommodating. He patiently answered my questions and made me feel comfortable. His staff was very friendly and welcoming. I'm happy that I chose him and am looking forward to my next visit.
Dr. Berg and his staff are awesome. Always friendly and helpful.
Always great!!! He is fantastic at what he does and is very well known for being a great surgeon as well. I would know, I'm a patient as well as an employee where he works.
