Did not feel enough personal interest. Had assistant do test and when I came back he was reading non-medical magazine and seemed uncomfortable and just rescheduled me for another test the following week---test equipment was not in office that day. It seemed that everyone wanted to get home quickly that day.
Excellent treatment by the doctor and his staff. They were all very fast and professional. I highly recommend them.
Efficient, friendly, happy to answer my questions.
An excellent experience! In and out in no time. Will be going back regularly for check-up.
Dr. Lerch and his staff are terrific. Very organized and professional. A pleasure to work with.
Dr Lerch was superb. I'm quite squeamish about ears but he was very patient and effective. I appreciated his kindness and professionalism. Further, he provided me with solid advice on maintaining healthy ears. It's good to know I've found such an ENT specialist in Manhattan and highly recommend him.
Dr. Lerch was great - I made a same-day appointment, he saw me within 15 minutes of arriving at his office, and he fixed a hearing problem I'd been having for a week! I would 100% return to him, and strongly recommend him to anyone needing an ENT doc.
Dr Lerch was straight to the point and very personable. He was interested in me as a person and took the time to talk to me. Great guy!
He was very straight forward and informative with the main goal being to cure what I had and reduce my pain. He gave me a set regiment with a time to follow up and I felt he was very efficient.
Dr. Lerch was very professional and helpful. I went in for congestion and he gave me a few free samples and a prescription that fixed my problem right away. Highly recommend him.
Dr. Lerch is terrific. I have been a patient for years. He is prompt, courteous and efficient. Always a pleasant experience.
The doctor came in and checked me out for not even 90 seconds before he said that I must come back the following week for a hearing test with his audiologist who wasn't working that day, as that test was standard procedure for patients coming in with the condition about which I was seeking help. I asked him why on earth didn't his staff advise me of that when I called to make my appointment. I feel like I was taken advantage of and that he was simply trying to double his fees to my insurance company by "inadvertently" permitting me to come into his office unnecessarily more than one time. If you book an appointment with him, make sure you call his office to inquire whether his audiologist is working that day, or the same thing might happen to you.
efficient, effective, personable
Small clean office, nice man, asked good questions.
He is a very capable doctor
Completely unprofessional, hardly examined me, and never even introduced himself. Charged a 40 minute consultation when I saw him for less than 5 minutes. Multiple HIPPA violations noted as well. A disgrace of an office and I am completely disgusted.
Thoughtful doc that actually listens to his patients.
Dr. Robert Lerch is a professional and right to the point but also nice. Staff was kind and helpful, even saved me some money by supplying a free sample.
Very efficient. Well coordinated office.
Came in with what felt like strep. Wait was tolerable but once the doctor made himself available gave off a very nonchalant vibe -- as if going through the motions and saying "he wasn't surprised I had a viral infection since this was NYC." Really? No kidding. Friendlier doctors out there!
I found this doctor to be rather condescending. I distinctly remember him telling me "you're not very good at this." While he was cleaning my ear out with a sharp object. Last I checked, I'm not the one who is supposed to be good at this, he is. He did resolve the issue but it was painful and his demeanor was not welcomed. I would only go back if ALL other options are unavailable.
Very fast visit. He was okay.
It was my first visit for consultation. The whole office visit was maybe 15 minutes (if that long). I cant say for sure until I complete my follow up visit next week.
Terrific professional. Great experience in every way. A+.
I would never go to this doctor again. This was the worst doctor's visit ever. He rushes you through the appointment, doesn't explain anything and pushes you out the door.
Dr. Leach is kind, but very efficient and direct. He has state of the art equipment and gave me a complete explanation of my condition. I recommend him unconditionally.
I felt like he rushed through my appointment and did not take the time to listen to my concerns.
The best part was that there was almost no wait - that is because he rushes the appointments to be under five minutes. I would have expected a specialist to spend more time focusing on the problem, and I left feeling like it was a waste of time and with no resolution. He also made me do an allergy test (for no reason) and asked me to come back in a week for a hearing test (also for no reason).
I took an appointment back in December because it was one of the only openings prior to the holidays. I found the experience to be incredibly rushed and he was quick to cut me off in the middle of explaining why I was even in the seat to begin with. All 2 minutes of an appointment was not worth the specialist co-pay, but I was willing to let that go. I recently received an almost $200 bill in the mail...I had no idea why. Especially since I paid my insurance co-pay back in December and no procedures or tests were performed on-site at the appointment. When I went to call and inquire about this bill, the male receptionist simply said call back on Monday and hung up on me. I am so disgusted with the fact this is the person who people are initially speaking to...this can make or break a patient's overall experisnce, and they are encountering an incredibly rude and short staff member who did not even want to take the time to say "Bye." I called back again and just said I was in the middle of speaking and found the call to be unsatisfactory...he simply hung up again on me. After a third attempt, he picked up, put the call on hold and hung on. The fact that a business is run in this manner is shocking to me, as I am a paying customer trying to nicely inquire about why I was charged. I don't even mind calling back on Monday and resolving the issue then, but the fact that an employee is hanging up on patients is by far the rudest thing I have encountered in any doctor-patient care in my entire life. I could oversee the shortness and rushed manner of the initial doctor visit--but I CANNOT overlook the rudeness of the staff and administrative support members that are currently working there.
Great guy, very personable and understanding.
He's the man. He fixed hearing issue right away. My visit could not have been any more successfu. Robert is a super nice guy. I highly recommend.
Good overall experience, no complaints
Not very attentative, Overall experience felt not right
He saw me quickly and diagnosed the problem. The office was in a great location, easy to get to.
They cancel my appoiment the day off and a the time of
Dr. Lerch was impatience and didn't do anything to help me. He met with me for about 5 minutes, giving me little to no advice, and then had me schedule a follow-up. He also billed me for a procedure that my insurance does not cover without making me aware of it.
This Doctor was curt, rushed, and insensitive about my discomfort with the tools he used to see down my nose and throat. He seemed to be accurate in his diagnosis, but his bedside and professional manner were shockingly lacking.
He's very personable, really listens to the problem you have, and you can tell he enjoys what he does.
My appointment was at 3:45 PM. I arrived at 3:20 PM to fill out some paper work as it was my first time. There was a lady came before me for a 3:40PM appointment. Dr showed up at 3:42 PM, spent 2 minutes for a lady. Then, Dr. called me in at 3:48 PM and spent only 2 minutes. He sent me to CatScan (left ear) and to MRI or another catscan for my nose, & told "see you in 10 days". I cannot judge him now, since this is my first visit and it was only 2 minutes long. I will give another shot or two, then will be leaving detailed feedback. Look for my name later. At least he doesn't seem like those Doctors who put you wait for 1:35 hr and try to suck your insurance. But, we will see soon. OTABEK
I didn't like Dr. Lerch. He may well know his specialty, but I didn't care for his bedside manner. He made me feel stupid for being scared, but didn't help me understand why there was no reason to be! It was a very old-fashioned experience. Like "I am the doctor and know everything. You are the patient, and regardless of all the time you have spent in your body, you know nothing about how it should feel." (obviously not a quote) Luckily, a GP helped me out and kindly explained what was going on in my throat.
I think he is best for simple allergy issues, he rushes things to much for everything else.
Excellent! Very informative and professional. I will definitely be going back to see Dr. Lerch.
Seemed a bit rushed, ordered tests, will see how does next visit.
Dr. Lerch was extremely friendly, put me at ease and dealt with my issue within minutes. I was comfortable throughout and would recommend him again in an instant.
Great visit. Dr Lerch was very knowledgeable and gave a quick diagnosis. He also had an allergist and hearing test specialist in the office making the visit very efficient and easy.
office very considerate; called to tell me dr was delayed in surgery so i wouldn't have to wait. dr fixed problem immediately!!!
very abrupt. i felt rushed and i didn't really have time for any discussion with the Dr.
A very good experience with this physician. He was thorough and professional, identified the problem and prescribed the appropriate medication and a follow-up program to resolve it. An excellent support staff as well.
First, only and so far (this goes back a few years) final doctor to do the Epley maneuver for chronic vertigo. Haven't had to go back since the second visit. Thank you!
Everyone at this practice was very personable and friendly, I felt listened to and I felt I got good care. That's saying a lot these days, when going to a doctor can feel like being part of an assembly line.
one in a million, he actually talk to me, not to a laptop, held his notes while talking to me, treating me as a live being.... not a potential to bill.
Really nice doctor.
He seems to be highly experienced. But I felt he could spend more time with a patient.
This was my first visit to an ENT, Dr. Lerch was very professional and knowledgeable. I will definitely continue to see Dr. Lerch and I am confident that I will get optimal care.
Didn't have to wait long. Easy visit.
He was very thorough, friendly, and did a great job. His assistant was also nice. When needed, I would go back to see him.
It was awesome. Fast, and informative.
Dr. Lerch was very knowlegeable and professional. His office in BK is very efficient. I will definitely return if I need additional care for ENT.
Friendly staff. The doctor answered all my questions and my care felt personalized.
