Overall the visit went ok. Although it didn't get off to a great start. I waited for about 30 mins (already in the patient room). I was starting to get annoyed at the long wait when the PA walked in and explained Dr Cho was running late. So basically she conducted the visit. She did a great Job and was very professional. Almost at the end of the visit, Dr Cho walked in and just confirmed his PA's prognosis.
I immediately felt at ease with Dr. Cho, He is easy to talk to and still very professional. He explained to me what I needed to know about my condition and the related tests to be done. Definitely going back.
DR CHO IS AN EXCELLENT PHYSICIAN BUT THE 3 HOUR OFFICE WAIT WAS OUTRAGEOUS & BECAUSE OF THIS I WOULD NOT USE THIS SERVICE AGAIN
I really like Dr Cho. I arrive 5 min before my appointment and haad to wait 5 min to see him. He is very patient and explains everything so you understand. He has a calm demeanor, I would highly recommend him. I have already told some of my co-workers who are looking for an orthopedic surgeon about him.
My mother and I loved it...Very informative about my condition and about my treatment.
This was my first visit to Dr. Cho's office so I had to go through roughly 30 minutes of paperwork, which I thought to be standard, and I had forgotten to get my visit pre-approved by my primary physician so Dr. Cho's front office staff helped me with that. After I finished the paperwork, I was taken back to an exam room within 5-minutes. The nurse asked me some medical history questions, took my blood pressure and then told me that I would first be seen by the PA (Physicians assistant) and then Dr. Cho. I asked if I would be seen by both of them today and I was told that I would. Gabriella, the PA, came into the exam room within 5-minutes and examined me. I felt that she was taking my medical issues seriously and that I was able to clearly communicate to her what those issues were. I felt that the exam was thorough and that the medical care from Gabriella was excellent. I was then taken to another room for x-rays and then returned to the exam room. I waited only a few minutes before both Gabriella and Dr. Cho entered the exam room. Gabriella had explained my complaints, signs, and symptoms to Dr. Cho who asked me a few more questions before also asking me to perform some tasks to further evaluate my spine. Dr. Cho and Gabriella both recommended an immediate MRI and Dr. Cho told me that I may require "minor spine surgery" and that I may or may not fully recover due to the seriousness of the injury. I can tell you that I did appreciate his candor. Dr. Cho gave me a prescription for oral steroids and told me to come back after I got the MRI to discuss diagnosis and options. Gabriella stayed in the room and spent another 20 minutes getting me scheduled for a stat MRI which I thought was very nice of her to do. Gabriella was able to get me into the MRI late that afternoon and the MRI was performed. I am waiting to hear back about the results. My first experience with both Gabriella and Dr. Cho far exceeded my expectations.
Dr. Cho by far has been the most helpful and thorough Surgeon that I have met with in regards to my back surgery options. I left feeling confident that I would be in great hands in preparation for my upcoming surgery. Up until this point I felt confused, defeated and scared that I wouldn't get better. thankfully that changed after my consultation with Dr. Cho.
Professional and Knowledgeable.
Dr. Cho was excellent. However, the wait to see him was over 1 hour, and there was no room to sit. If I were to choose him for my spine surgery, I'd have to think long & hard because of the horrific office atmosphere.
The distinguished record of Dr. Cho includes his blue-chip education and his many awards for outstanding performance. I selected him on the basis of his stellar profile. In person, he is thoughtful, thorough, personable, and most important he is right. He diagnosed my situation whereas other phsysicians could not figure the cause of my "winging scapula." Dr. Cho is also a humanitarian who does pro-bono surgery in less-developed countries. This is an outstanding physician and specialist.
Dr. Cho did not appear interested in my problem, did not offer any explanation for why I waited over an hour for him after completing my paperwork. Would not recommend him at all.
Dr. Cho was very helpful and didn't recommend unnecessary treatments, which I appreciated. The only issue I had was that it took about 40 minutes after I was shown to the examination room and took the initial X-Rays to actually see Dr. Cho. I'd still go to him, but would recommend definitely get as early of a morning appointment as possible (which is what I had and so I presume the wait gets significantly worse as the day progresses).
Doctor was very friendly and explained everything I needed to know.
Dr Cho helped me with a herniated disc and compressed vertebrae , he and his surgical team were very generous with time and attention. Its a whole lot better 3 months out. Surgery was still painful, but it seems to be paying off as I couldn't bend over and pick something off the ground and now I can!
Saw the doctor for a whole 2 minutes after waiting over an hour in the waiting room. Was also billed out-of-network when I was told they are in-network, and also confirmed so at my appointment.
It was a bomb! First of all he is not longer in GHI network , non of the DRs in 5E 98st office, Mi Sinai Faculty Practice are, Please update your records!
Dr. Cho didn't examine me, the extent of his contributions was explaining that I will need an MRI. I came to him with prolonged back pain and a lump that I found in one of my muscles. His assistant gathered all of my information and then Dr. Cho came into the room and explained that I will need an MRI, PT and then left. He did not ask me about my pain or my limitations as far as bending/twisting, or explain why this keeps happening to me and he did not examine the lump I found in my muscle even after I told him about it. One of the least satisfactory doctor appointments I have ever experienced. Not what I expected from someone specialized in spinal health.
The doctor and his entire staff were incredibly friendly, gave me a quick diagnosis and answered all questions. I did wait over an hour to be seen which was incredibly annoying though.
Dr Cho is great but wait time is absolutely horrible.
Great, everyone there treat you with respect, great service, great doctors!!!
Very nice, professional physician.
quick but explained things well
I waited about 45 mins to be taken back to the exam room (including time to fill out forms). I waited another 25 minutes for X-rays. the X-ray tech and nurse were both super nice, friendly and very informative. the dr came in about 5 minutes later and did an exam for my back problem. he recommended PT.
I was referred my another doctor to have an old stress fracture checked. I had to wait a bit, but Dr. Cho was very friendly and took plenty of time in chatting with me, even though it was likely a quick and easy visit for him.
He was willing to talk about my condition offered me options and willing to schedule immediately. I explained I had a surgeon in mind but needed a second opinion from him. He understood completely asked me how I felt about the procedure, agreed with my first opinion and wished me luck. I would have done the procedure with him if my first Doctor was not personally recommended by a friend.
Very informative. His staff are courteous and professional
the entire staff was friendly and inviting, the doctor was knowledgeable about my medical condition, specifically considering how rare it is, i rate them a 10 of 10
The entire staff were friendly and efficient. I waited 10 minutes to see Dr. Cho. He was friendly, listened to my complaints and explained exactly what he thought was wrong. He took the time to review my x-rays (which were done onsite after a two minute wait) with me, pointing out the cause of my pain and other problem areas. Great experience for a first time, and now future, patient!
He was very informitive and gave me 3 options for me to chose. Gave good advice and I would see him for a follow up
seemed interested in me
It was fairly brief, but covered all that was needed.
He was professional, kind, and quick.
He said nothing, just referred me to pain management. I was out of my mind in pain, I didn't bother asking questions.
Dr. Cho ordered new x-rays and had them performed right there, in the complex of his offices, without delay. He evaluated the x-rays and carefully felt and examined the disturbed areas of my back and neck. He was extremely capable and thoguhtful. I have full confidence in the diagnosis and treatment executed by Dr. Cho
Great teamwork with this staff. Explained things clearly.
Both he and his staff were very professional. The looked at u while speaking ; they were clear & concise in their explanation and waited to see if you had ant question prior to proceeding to next topic
He is kind, gentle, very calming. And no ego involved !
Very professional yet friendly in his approach. Explained the x-ray and answred my questions patiently.
Staff processed me VERY quickly. I did vitals, xrays and saw doctor within 15 minutes. Dr. Cho actually read and reviewed my reports before looking at xrays and MRI's. He asked me questions that showed he was listening to me. I found him to be compassionate and very honest about what he could do for chronic conditions. He discussed options available in a very clear and easy to understand manner. I would highly recommend him to others.
nice guy, knows what he's doing, efficient processing
Dr Cho was friendly and professional. He really took his time to listen to all of my concerns and symptoms. Office staff were busy, but also really friendly.
I found Dr. Cho very caring and knowledgeable. Will definitely recommend him to others.
Dr. Cho, was very professional. Listened to my questions and answered them clearly.
