Absolutely phenomenal care would be my summary for Dr. Anthony. He always answered my questions (big and small) thoroughly, all the while reassuring me and keeping my personal health and finances in mind. I was impressed by how easily he explained conditions that were otherwise foreign and complicated to me, breaking everything down so I understood and took ownership of my recovery. I have him to thank for such a successful recovery period, and would recommend him to anyone going through anything shoulder/rotator cuff related. My only qualm was with the wait time at Mt. Sinai; on average, I'd wait about 45 min before being seen. Something to keep in mind when scheduling appointments around work or other obligations.

Dr. Anthony was very nice, as were the nurses and front desk staff. My only complaint is that there is no x-ray technology in the 780 8th Ave office so I was sent off-site to get an x-ray, which turned into a whole other timesuck debacle.

Dr Anthony is a first class surgeon, who focuses on the patient's wellness and will outline all non-surgery options to rehabilitate the patient. Surgery is a last option. He has excellent communications skills and a warm bed-side manner that is precise and clear. I recommend him unreservedly.

Very busy office. Expect to wait .. and Zocdoc description for Dr Anthony is incorrect. Sadly, from that nice long list mentioned in Zocdoc description, he really only treats sports related back issues. Make sure to call ahead and confirm whether the Dr can treat your medical issue otherwise you might waste a day.

Definitely a positive experience. In the past I've found orthos to be very rushed and not give me enough information. This was not the case with Dr. Anthony. He was very friendly and professional, reassuring, answered my questions and gave me enough information to understand my condition. Hopefully there isn't a future need for me, but if so, I wouldn't hesitate to schedule an appointment with him.

Although he wasn't able to directly assist with my situation, he made me feel very comfortable during my appointment and gave me his professional opinion as well as a referral to another doctor better suited for my needs. Thank you, Dr. Anthony and to the lovely office staff!

After sudden knee pain, I was last minute looking for an orthopedist who focused on knees to see me before the weekend. I found Dr. Anthony at ~10am and scheduled an appointment for 4pm that same day. His office called me almost immediately asking to move my appointment to 1:15 as ZocDoc's information hadn't updated, which I was more than willing to do. Dr. Anthony was patient, understanding, and explained everything along the way. My knee pain (and swelling) was a mystery as my xrays were normal, but Dr. Anthony made every possible course of action abundantly clear so we had a game plan as a team. Even during the aspiration of my knee which was NOT something I looked forward to, he was gentle and waited for the numbing agent to kick in before proceeding with the procedure so my discomfort was minimized. We'll find out what the next steps are in the coming days, but I feel confident that Dr. Anthony will help me with whatever he believes is genuinely in my best interest. Absolutely worth traveling to the UWS!
