Verified Patient Reviews
Bad start as she was 20 minutes late for an 8:30 appointment. As I had intentionally arrived early (8:05) to make sure I found the office easily, wrap up any additional insurance paperwork not already completed online, and frankly to do my share in starting the day fresh and on time for all the subsequent patients and office calendar-- tardiness for her first appointment of the day was not an impressive start. I was dressed again an walking out when she arrived at the door and apologized. Her exam seemed thorough, her bedside manner professional and I trust her training and diagnosis. Her male aide was courteous and professional after she left, excusing himself while I dressed and returning with OTC sample products and word that an RX for a prescription would be called in on my behalf. What I observed in the waiting room was a pretty solid and efficient system with numerous patients waiting only briefly before being moved into consultation or treatment offices. Front office staff were efficient and knowledgeable. Now reading through comments, I am not sure I would have chosen differently. But it was a rather unprofessional start and I concur with the comments of others. If you are only going to spend 5 minutes in the consultation room, by all means do not make people wait for that. Young, some other drama that morning, but to her credit she apologized and moved on.
Very professional and thorough. Right away I felt very comfortable discussing my skin care issues with Dr. McKitty and am very pleased to have found such an excellent doctor for continuing care. Moreover, her PAs were very professional and I have no inhibitions about receiving treatment from them as needed.
Excellent visit and this doctor is lovely, smart and generous with her time
She was complete in her assessment!
Yes, I would see the doctor again. I was very pleased with the visit and the professionalism of the doctor.
The treatment was more aggressive, which I liked. She did a test on a spot that the previous dr. did not check.
Dr. McKitty is very professional and seems to know her field. She quickly identified the problem and provided ideas for amelioration. She was very sensitive and trustworthy.
Nice and professional
Simone was great - the rest of the experience not so much. I waited about 50 minutes. I chose a woman for a reason, I'm pretty private and a skin exam, well, isn't :) The physician's assistant/nurse was a guy and stayed in the room the whole time. She was very good about keeping me covered so really, whatever, that was fine. But then she left the room and the nurse was like I'm going to finish your chart you can get dressed, and then turned his back. I'm sorry, but I've never ever been asked to change with someone still in the room, behind a closed door. I feel like that's basic respect that was violated and it was weird.
Dr. McKitty and her team were very thorough and informative. Her assistant made complete notes of my visit and I came away with prescriptions, samples and a game plan for my skin problems. Very professional.
Dr. McKitty was knowledgeable and attentive. I was pleased with my appointment; she immediately identified what type of adult acne I was getting and prescribed me medication for it. Everyone I came in contact in the office -including nurses, medical assistants, and office staff - were extremely friendly and welcoming.
best thing about capital dermatology. Now that she's gone this place is terrible.
Everyoen was very courteous and helpful.
We were happy with Dr. McKitty. She was very pleasant and listened and answered our questions.
GREAT DOCTOR, SLOPPY OFFICE. I arrived for my 1:00 appointment to a packed waiting room. Nobody had verified that the practice accepts my (rather obscure) insurance, despite my request to do so noted on my ZocDoc appointment request. That took some time, then there were the forms to fill out – none had been sent in advance, nor were they on the website – and still, there was plenty of time to cool my heels before getting into a room at 2:00. The obviously skillful and pleasant nurse kept me busy much of the time before Dr. McKitty arrived at 2:15. The doctor was gone before 2:30, but in that time, conducted the most thorough cancer screening I’ve experienced, took 3 biopsies (making full use of the nurse to speed things along), assured me that anything cancerous is highly unlikely, prescribed an anti-aging cream for my face while also naming the most suitable over-the-counter products for me, answered a random off-topic question, stood her ground in referring to my freckles as sun damage, and finished up by saying I look pretty good, all things considered. To sum up, the medical team (I wish I’d caught the name and rank of the assistant) were quick and efficient but not impatient; informative and admonishing but also affirming. Then, back to the office staff: the painfully slow check-out and the gathering up of prescriptions, samples, and coupons took another 20 minutes – an hour and 45 minutes altogether. But hey, they offer free Wi-Fi while you wait!
Very nice and precise and also very pretty
The best part is looking at Dr Simone - she is beautiful. You walk into a full waiting room, but don't get discouraged. They get to you pretty quick. I had an 11:30 appointment - had a mole removed and full body scan and was out of there at 12:00. I would like to spend more time with Dr. McKitty!!
My appointment with Dr. Kitty lasted only about 5 minutes but she was friendly, on point and I came away with a solution to my problem as well as suggestions on over the counter products I can use every day to help. Staff were great. After my appointment, I had to call the office back for clarification on something and the assistant called me back the same day. Would highly recommend.
This is my 2nd visit to this doctor. Both times she has been a professional & knowledgable doctor. Yes, the visit is quick but I don't mind that as long as it gets the job done.
Great doctor, very knowledgable and professional
She was great! It's too soon to tell if her recommendations will be as great as her bedside manner was but I am hopeful and I will return.
The appt was quick and to the point. I had a laundry list of concerns and tasks and they were all settled.
Dr. McKitty herself was hands-on and informative. However, the waiting room was a mad house, and the entire experience felt rushed. It felt like more of a fast food restaurant than a doctor's office. With that said, if my wait time was non existent, I probably would have enjoyed the 3 minute conversation with the doctor. But when you wait for 30-40 mins and you see the doc for 3 mins, something feels off.
I have seen Dr. McKitty twice. She is very knowledgeable and professional. Both times, she was completely focused on me, listening to my concerns, explaining my treatment options and her recommendations, and answering all of my questions. I read some negative reports about her, but my experience was nothing like theirs. I feel like a valued patient, not a part on an assembly line. I will be seeing her again in two weeks.
Professional and efficient visit. Check in at the office was smooth. Filling out the patient history forms online prior to the appointment is recommended. Called back to the exam room at my appt time and technician completed the intake process quickly. Dr. McKitty arrived within five minutes; there was no unnecessary banter upon arrival. The entire exam room encounter lasted less than 10 minutes including a mole screen, single biopsy, and cryo-treatment.
She is very personable and has beautiful skin - which is encouraging since she is a dermatologist! Explains things well and answers questions. Nurse came in right away to fill out prescription info and give me coupons for them. The waiting room itself seems kind of germy, but they have hand sanitizer out. :)
She is a very knowledgeable and professional doctor.
Was impressed with how welcoming everyone was to me as a new patient, including the doctor. The doctor was very professional and got to work right away checking me for skin cancers. She was also able to take care of nearly all my problems this first visit, which was great! I will have a follow up appointment to deal with the rest. Overall, very good experience and I liked that it was easy to book an appt. Only possible suggestion for future is would like to see more late hours or one weekend day a month options for more flexibile scheduling.
Dr McKitty was knowledgable and friendly. Quick but thorough. I would definitely go back.
I don't know why it took 45 minutes to get me into an exam room and another 10 minutes for doc to come. Too long. Glad I don't have problems requiring more than a once a year visit.
It went great and fast! She got straight to the point and answered all my questions.
I like Dr. McKitty better than Dr. Glassman. She is very personable and I felt she understood female issues better - hormonal changes and breakouts.
This is the worst doctors office I have been too. I arrived 30 mins early for my 3 kids apts. An hour after the first apt had passed, I asked the receptionist why we hadn't been seen, and she snobbishly told me to wait my turn. We waited, and the receptionist who checked us in, clearly saw that we were still there..UNSEEN almost 2hrs after the apt. The office staff is rude, and we will not be going back to this practice.
She was very helpful and gave great information on my situation. She is very friendly and patient and will answer your questions. I like her and will continue to keep on seeing her.
Great doctor - have been seeing her for years.
both Dr. McKitty and the whole staff are professional, thorough, and friendly. The office is efficiently and pleasantly run.
I hope she had little more time with me . I expected that she will do over all skin check up while I was there . on my last appointment the doctor offered me to have skin check up.
she did touch me
Dr. McKitty has an excellent bedside manner. She listened to me and took the time to explain things to me so that I felt confident about the diagnosis she made and the treatment she recommended. The wait to get back to the office was a little long as the office was overflowing but I did not feel rushed once I made it to the exam room.
Dr. McKitty was professional and friendly. She answered all of my questions. She was thorough & I felt confident upon leaving her office. I'll be back to see her again.
I was pleasantly surprised by the way that I was treated. She was very professional and honed in on what I needed. She told me to call her in 3weeks if my condition hadn't been resolved. I would go to her again.
The consultation was faster than the time I wait to be seen
I was a new patient that booked the appointment through ZD. SUMMARY: Waited over an hour, saw the doc for less than 5 min. Won't be coming back. I arrived early to my appointment to fill out paperwork and intake started 5 min. prior to my scheduled time. The office staff was extremely nice and handled things well considering there was a plethora of screaming children in the lobby. ...cue frustration: After the paperwork was filled out, I waited in the lobby for almost 30 min., only to be sent to a private room and was left alone for another 20 min. Any professional office that leaves patients alone in rooms for more than 10 min. screams POOR PRACTICE. I was so irritated I walked into the hallway to look for someone and told the nearest assistant that I had been waiting almost an hour! She apologized and told me that the doctor was with another patient, but would see me right after. The doctor finally came and didn't even apologize for the wait. first mistake. Second mistake, she looks at my face for two seconds and gives me the run around: "All women get acne at all phases of their life due to hormonal changes." .... REALLY?? You're a specialist! Please, tell me something I DON'T KNOW! Aside from the fury that is now raging inside of me, I stay calm and just use my time with her as efficiently as possible, which I get few words in. She immediately starts prescribing medication to the assistant and was in and out of the room in less than 5 min. Needless to say, I won't be coming back in for the follow-up. Liked the office staff, but was disappointed with the doctor's lack of personal care. If you're looking for a revolving door of a practice, this is your place. If you're looking for more personalized care, go somewhere else.
This was my first visit with Dr. McKitty and I found her to be very professional yet personable. The only downfall to my visit was the wait time which was close to an hour. I believe my name got lost on the sign in sheet between receptionist changing shifts for lunch.
She's awesome! I didn't need anything crazy, just needed a recommendation for a good cream but she still took the time to talk to me and address all my concerns.
Long wait time, but the appointment itself was prompt. My only reservation against recommending this office to someone else might be the long wait times, but they may have just been an anomaly. They do allow you to fill out all of your forms beforehand, which is a very nice feature.
The wait time was ridiculous! I would've left if I hadn't already paid my copay. Jennifer was not very pleasant.. She was rather stern. The doctor wasnt very pleasant either... Smh
I made the appointment over my lunch hour. I was promptly and professionally seen and back to work on time. Very happy with the Dr and my visit.
Once in her office, very quick consultation. She assessed the issue and knew right away the course of action needed. Unfortunately, I had to be referred elsewhere.
Dr McKitty is exactly what I need in a dermatologist. She did an all over body exam, removed skin tags, froze some spots and did a biopsy all in one visit. She is knowledgeable, friendly and current on new advances.
She did not care at all. I was rushed. She just quickly observe my legs . It was 3 minute appointment. And I am so serious. And the nurse asked all my questions not a doctor
Dr. McKitty is caring and thorough.
She was very knowledgeable about what she felt was causeing the irriatation in my daughter skin. Her perscription were reasonable and they even gave me a coupon to assist with the cost of filling the perscription! Very pleased with Dr. McKitty.
shes quick on what she does which is a good thing but i'll say a bit to quick if you ask me, no time to even think of a question or any other concern.
Overall she was nice, but I thought my appointment was very rushed. I had a full-body exam to make sure all moles looked ok and she was so quick it makes me wonder if she really had a good look.
She is very professional, and patient. You don't feel like you're being rushed because she has other patience.
Fantastic..she was very professional and answered all my concerns.
The office was far too crowded and the wait was much too long. However, Dr. McKitty seemed to be exceedingly personable and professional.
I had a great experience at Dr. McKitty's office. Everyone was very polite, and the wait to get be seen by Dr. McKitty was about 10 minutes from my scheduled appointment time. Dr. McKitty took the time to listen to my concerns and then provided treatments. I highly recommend Dr. McKitty.
Dr. McKitty answered all my questions and described the benefits of the creams and gels she prescribed for my son's acne problem. Dr. McKitty is always very nice and professional.
The entire office is very efficient, a plus for me, but I can understand how some people might take this as rude, dismissive, or even get upset that the doctor doesn't remember you. To me- I don't mind because they are trying to get you in and out without disrupting your day, you can tell that everyone in the office works very hard and they all know their stuff. If you want a slow paced personal spot, then this isn't for you, but if you want a professional environment that can give you excellent care without taking up your whole day then this is the place to be- it's absolutely perfect for a working professional you can make an appointment without worrying about taking any time off! I love it and wish other doctors' offices operated like this.
A little miffed that she appeared to have zero idea who I was, despite this being a followup appointment. But, listened to my concerns about the way my skin reacted to the drug she initially prescribed, as well as my concerns about the costs.
The office staff was extremely friendly and inviting. I was taken back right away (a little earlier than my scheduled appointment)! Dr. McKitty was incredibly warm and professional. She asked me if I had any questions and listened to my concerns! I am thrilled to have found her and have already recommended her to my family.
In spite of the long wait to see the doctor, I was incredibly impressed by Dr. McKitty. I am very happy to have found her. Once again ZocDoc comes through...
Dr. McKitty was great. I felt like she listened well and offered a relevant treatment plan for my situation. I didn't have complicated issues, so it was a very quick visit, but was impressed with her and with the office staff.
Very straight forward and professional. The assistants were great as well.
Dr. McKitty and her staff were all very helpful, professional and informative. The biggest downside was the very long wait. Free parking was also nice and appreciated.
The visit felt a little rushed and not completely thorough.
The staff, from reception to checkout, was extremely courteous. Dr.McKitty was thorough, professional and friendly.
I think she is the BEST! I have already recommended her to my family & friends.
Awesome doctor and awesome staff! highly recommend
Dr. McKitty is one of those "rare" professionals. She takes the time to get to know her patients. She is thorough, knowledgeable, professional and personable. She does not make you feel that you are being rushed through your appointments. I hope she will be around for a long time. If not, I will follow wherever she practices. We are glad that we found her. After the long wait in the waiting area (no fault of Dr. McKitty; It's a large practice), by the time you are taken to the exam room, you are seen by Dr. McKitty within 5-10 minutes. I refer her to anyone who ask if I know any Derms.
Nice friendly staff and the Dr very knowable.
Highly professional and courteous. Clearly busy but never rude, instead has a no-fuss no-muss efficient manner.
it felt extremely rushed. there was a medical student in the room with us, which was no problem. however there was another girl who was unidentified in the room with us as well, dressed in plain clothes, so not a nurse practitioner. i felt exposed in addition to feeling rushed. I like Dr. McKitty, she was very knowledgeable and candid, but the overall entire experience was subpar.
Because the office was so busy it was like she was in a rush. She did address the issue that I am having but having had to wait for almost 1 hour to see it, we only spend approximately 2 to 3 minutes actually together.
Very satisfied, once I got in... felt like I had her attention, and she was engaged with what my concerns were.
I liked Dr. McKitty right away. She has an excellent "bed-side" manner and was very personable and professional at the same time.Staff was also very professional.
She was great but the waiting room was a mess! Overflowing and loud. I wasn't seen til 40 past my appointment time. She's nice and very knowledgeable and her assistant was great as well.
Even she was extremely busy she helped me a lot, thanks!
I was in and out of the door within half an hour. She was very respectful, as was her assistant, and took my concerns seriously. Dr. McKitty quickly bioposied one mole that looked dangerous with ease and little pain. I would recommend her.
She was professional and efficient. She missed one mole because I forgot to remind her, but she can take care of it next visit. She and her medical assistant were quite good.
She was very professional and kind. The wait time was much longer than expected though.
I really appreciated Dr. McKitty's professionalism and quick recommendations for solutions to my skin issues.
Dr. McKitty is professional and knowledgeable, but don't expect her to spend a lot of time with you. I saw her for a skin cancer screening and she spent no more than ten minutes with me.
I thought she was excellent. We even shared how she had done her residency where I worked. I have another appointment next month. Her and her assistant bedside manner was great. I left out of there ready to tell other folks about my dermatologist.
She was extremely professional, well-researched and genuinely concern about my health. Dr McKitty, was able to make a diagnosis nearly immediately after evaluating my skin with great confidence and assurance. .I was especially concern when she asked me about previous medications, right down to the dosage, and then insisted that I email her or call if I could think of anything else. I had returned to the office 5 minutes after I had gone, and with sincerity, and no hesitation, she was willing to see me again and answered my questions. During my entire visit, I never felt rushed or ignored or embarrassed. I would definitely, unequivocally recommend Dr. McKitty. She is a diamond in the rough of professionals and is keeping with the great tradition of doctor-hood. You’ll See!!!!
Dr. McKitty was great!
Dr. McKitty is great and no-nonsense. The whole office is fairly efficient and they've seen all possible dermatology ailments. You're in good hands and I like ZocDoc a lot.
Very professional and personable.
she's very efficient and professional--I felt well cared-for
Very Efficient and concerned. She takes time to answer your questions.
It went well very quick and professional.
Great experience. Dr. McKitty was great, knowledgeable, and fast but patient enough to answer my questions. I especially appreciate that the practice placed an order for my Rx at the pharmacy for me. All I had to do was pick them up.
Dr. McKitty was very professional. This was the first time I got samples from a doctor visit, because she knew my insurance wasn't going to cover it. But she knew what would work. I was very please with her.
She gets straight to the problem and then takes care of it immediately. Awesome!!
Quick. Very good staff. Very good doctors.
She was very nice - addressed and diagnosed my urgent needs very quickly. I would like a little more hands on detailed examination though. She was very knowledgable and kind. I liked her. The wait was a little long, but the outer waiting area was very busy, so I could understand that. A busy practice is a good sign!
EVERYTHING WAS EXCELLENT!
Outstanding from beginning to end!
Very efficient and to the point.
I didn't feel like she explained exactly what my condition was, and then she prescribed medication that I couldn't afford.
I was so very impressed with Dr. McKitty's service. Everything was done with such high regard from the short time I spent in the waiting room to the highly efficient service I received from the Doctor.
Worst part of the visit is the WAIT!! before seen the Dr. horrible!!! and its not just a one time thing it's all the time and the staff at the office has the WORST attitude and rude.
Dr. McKitty was professional and courteous. My only complaint was having to wait almost 45 minutes past my scheduled appointment time.
The procedure was bot effective. I should have waited for my regular doc to see me.
Dr. McKitty was very professional and took the time to answer all of my questions. The staff was nice and friendly.
When I arrived for my appointment, they told me they didn't have me scheduled for an appointment at 9:45am. I showed them my confirmation email for the appointment on my iphone. My daughter had an appointment scheduled for 11am, so they grouped me in to her appointment. They initially put us both in one room. When I told them that we probably needed more privacy for the appointments, they gave us separate rooms. Not very professional.
Very professional. Addressed your problems quickly and confidently.
Dr was very professional.
She addressed all 5 concerns I had during the appointment in an efficent manner and provided a clear reason for her chosen treatment of each concern.
Dr. McKitty was very professional. My only complaint was that she only saw me for about 5 minutes. She didn't give me a chance to discuss issues/concerns. Looked @ my rash, wrote a prescription...the end!
Very professional, courteous and knowledgeable
She was an excellent provider. Full attention, no rush and answered every single question that I had. I found my doctor.
I did have to wait a little while and the waiting room was busy! Dr. McKitty works fast, but answered all my questions. She was professional and made me feel at ease.
Very busy office but they all take their time and make you feel like you are the only patient!
She got the Job done.
Dr. McKitty is very professional, courteous, and answered all my questions and addressed all my concerns. Her office is clean, orderly and efficient. My entire visit lasted about 15 minutes, but I felt like I received the best treatment afforded to me. Highly recommend this doctor and office.
After explaining my problem to Doctor McKitty, she made her recommendation and never offered other options. She never asked if I had any questions after discussing what she recommended. When she left the room, she stated she would be right back, but she never retured. I thougt I could ask questions after she retuned, but she never did. The Assistant returned with presciptions and instructions. The doctor's lack of communication was not what I expected at all. At this point, I am not considering returning for a follow up visit.
