Dr. Chung is wonderful! There's always a wait but its worth it. She clearly listens and takes the time to understand what's happening with her patients. A doctor you can trust!
Awesome doctor! Had a very informative session.
dr. chung is thorough, knowledgable and has a great bedside manner. i had to wait more than an hour and that is unacceptable. i wish her assistant could have called me earlier in the day to say she was running late as i work at an hourly job and lost money because of the wait. i really liked dr. chung and she was apologetic. she needs an office manager or nurse practitioner to help out.
I had to wait 30 minutes to be seen but Dr. Chung had great bedside manner and was very informed. I look forward to establishing a rapport with her and continuing care at her office. Her secretary was very pleasant as well.
Dr. Chung has been my doctor for a few years now and I am always very pleased leaving her office, she listens to my concerns and responds appropriately without pushing any treatment options, the wait times fluctuate, sometimes being very long and sometimes very short. Despite wait times I will continue seeing her because she's a great physician.
Dr Chung is great! She'll explain everything to you.
Dr. Chung is the best doctor I've encountered in 17 years of living in NYC. She explained clearly, offered several options for testing, and followed up with my other doctors to make sure she had the right information. I highly recommend her.
Dr. Chung was very nice and thorough and the receptionist was also very nice and helpful.
It felt like she did more talking than listening. Unsure of how to feel about her and I can't tell if she is use to treating overall healthy patients who get sick with cold.
I love Dr. Chung. I think like any doctor in demand, it's natural that things might take longer than anticipated. I've seen Dr. Chung a handful of times and its no question that waiting time will have to be factored in. Any patient that thinks that their appointment is at 1:00pm and it will start right away or within the 10 minutes will then need to expect that in order to follow that window, they are most likely going to have a rushed consultation. But, even if my appointment started late, she doesn't rush to finish my check up. She is a great doctor. Dr. Chung is always looking out for her patients to ensure they understand what happened in their consultation. I really like going to see her and I trust her.
It was my first visit with Dr. Chung and I felt the care she provided was thorough.
Dr. Chung was attentive to my concerns, followed up on my past medical issues, and was very personable. I haven't been nervous for my check-up in years now!
I was late in the day so she was running quite late, but the visit was great. She explained what she was doing and why.
This is the first time I have gone to a doctor who sat down and explained my entire health. When I left her office not only did I understand everything, but I never had to look on Google.
She's always so awesome. No better word to describe her other than awesome.
I wouldn't change my doctor for anything, she's the best I've ever had. Dr. Chung is extremely thorough and genuinely cares for her patients.
Had to wait over an hour for the appointment.
extremely slow, not thorough at all. Mediocre at best
Dr. Chung has been my primary doc for a decade. She always awesome, very smart and very easy to talk to. She makes doctors appointments very easy to bare and her swanky office very cool.
ok. i went to so many doctors and never seen like Susie who has really cared
Dr. Chung is great. She's been my PCP since moving to NYC. I'm leaving now and will be hard pressed to find someone like Dr. Chung. She takes her time to get to know you and remembers you when you return.
Dr. Chung is very nice but very thorough. Does not try to force any treatments on you but clearly gives you the options.
Follow up visit was great! I explained my diet changes brought in the proper paperwork. Dr Chan answered all my concerns to my satisfaction.
Susie is lovely, kind and professional, and I would recommend and return.... I just wish I didn't have to wait over 45mins each time I have been there, despite being told by front desk '10 minutes' - we are all busy and having to book appointments....
I was thoroughly expressed and grateful. She was not in a rushed and she allowed me time to talk about myself. She explained every step in laymen's term. I will recommend her to anyone that would listen and need an expert in her field.
This office is ridiculous. First, dr Chung makes a phone call to her receptionist in the middle of my consultation about another patient without excusing herself. Then dr Chung leaves me a message that sounds urgent and asks me to call back but when I do she never calls back. I called again and again. I made a follow up appointment on zocdoc and the office cancels my appointment without notifying me and when I called back they said because the doctor is over booked. So why did you even have it available on zocdoc, even if that's the case, calling me to inform me would have been nice. What kind of service is that. This is ridiculous!!!!! I would never recommend this office to anyone I know. Actually I urge everyone looking for a Pcp to stay away!!!! I have informed my insurance to change my Pcp to another doctor !!! Awful awful awful!!!!
Terribile front desktop service. The Doctor is always, always late. Will not be coming here again.
I waited a while but I didn't mind because she really takes her time to address your problem, and the same courtesy she extends to me Im sure she extends to others as well.
Best doctor ever!
She was great and took her time to explain everything to me. I really really liked her.
She's amazing! I've been seeing her for over a course of 2 years. She's very knowledable and helpful.
Very professional and seemed to actually care about the medical issues I was having.
Dr. Chung was very personable and friendly. She listened to my concerns and ran the necessary tests. I appreciated how much time she spent with me.
Dr. Chung was extraordinarily attentive, thorough, and patient. She did not dismiss any fears or concerns I had my health. I felt very comfortable talking to her and confident that I was getting the highest level of care. I would highly recommend her.
horrible wait time for years- but I adore dr. chung.
My appointment time was changed without asking me on ZocDoc due to the doctor's schedule. I was only notified after the change. Once I was at the doctors office, I had to wait over an hour to see the doctor. I was told she was in a meeting. There were no other patients in the doctors office. She was not helpful and I left very unsatisfied. It was a waste of my time and money. Now I am looking for a new doctor.
She was nice once you spoke to her but she arrived an hour and 15 mins late for my appointment!! Her reception staff was very unhelpful and only said she was on her way. I was very frustrated with the experience.
Dr. Chung is wonderful! She's really personable and knowledgeable, and she takes the time to really get to know you and your medical history.
the waiting time was too long. doctor was knowledgeable, but the front desk was not very professional. after the blood test, it took the office two weeks to send me the report, but till today, I still didn't get it. very unprofessional.
Doctor Chung has been my primary care for a couple of years. She is thorough in her analysis and explanations of diagnoses.
Dr Chung is a straight shooter, but conscientious and mindful of the patient's perspective.
Her office had papers stacked everywhere and she had to dig through boxes to find what she was looking for, imo a doctor's office should be neat and organized. She explained the insurance coverage fairly in depth but didn't really listen to my health concerns.
Dr. Chung is friendly and has a good bedside manner. The office is very neat and never crowded. I only wish Dr. Chung hire someone friendlier and more knowledgeable as receptionist.
Dr. Chung is great!
She's really great with explaining everything and actually listens to you when you discuss your symptoms.
I was not at all satisfied with the service I received. I have a mark left on my arm because of her multiple attempts to draw blood. The process was painful. I've never experienced that with any other doctor. You would think an M.D. who went to all of these prestigious universities would at least know how to do that. There was no wait time during my first visit. However, the wait time was over 30 minutes during the follow-up.
Friendly doctor who's patient and willing to explain things in a manner that is easily understandable.
That wait time didn't bother me because she takes the time she needs to do her job well.
I have been seeing Dr. Chung for a few years now and have always had a great experience. Sometimes the wait can be long, but that's just because she takes the time to talk to her patients.
She was very nice and concerned, took her time to speak with me and go over all the steps I needed to take thoroughly. Definitely recommend her!
I like how much time Dr. Chung spends talking to patients. The negative side of this is I dislike the long waits.
Dr. Chung was great - very personable and made me feel comfortable. I did pass out in her chair while having blood drawn, but she took such great care of me in spite of my wimpiness. Small office so you get one on one attention with the doc herself, which is somewhat rare these days.
wait is always lengthy but dr. chung is great!
Dr Chung was great however wait time was over 75 minutes despite having an appointment.
Dr. Chung is excellent. She is patient and provides detailed information to her patients
it was fine as usual. i like that she takes the time to explain things to me.
She was awesome. Very informative knew what she was doing and talking about.
I scheduled an appointment and was seen almost 2 hours later. The staffs at the front desk were friendly but the doctor was unprofessional. I went for an annual physical checkup so part of the process was drawing blood. The doctor said my vein was not stable the first the heme she inserted the needle so she had to do it again. It happens, so i was fine but the second time she inserted the needle a college of hers walked passed and she was chatting with her about her upcoming vacation while she still had the needle in my arm. She was not careful at all and my arm was bruised from it. Horrible experience. Her office was very unorganized with papers stacked up everywhere.
She is very professional and also personable. Rare in a doctor
She was great ! It was my first time seeing her, she took her time with getting to know my medical history. She explained everything very well.
Awesome love Dr. Susie Chung so sweet, kind and generous ;)
Dr. Chung was really amazing. I had spent a week in bed not knowing what was wrong with me and she correctly diagnosed me within minutes. Not only that, but when I went to the pharmacy to get my prescription filled, she spoke on the phone with the reluctant pharmacist to make sure she got it done. Dr. Chung took care of me when I couldn't and no one else would.
She was very thorough but professional and friendly.
She was quite thorough and a good listener
I waited 90 minutes to see the doctor with no one even batting and eye at me. Doctor was very straight forward--no real compassion, just asked questions and went about her business. Office was a bit cluttered and it was strange to not have a nurse.
Dr. Chung was helpful and thorough with no fluff. I appreciated her candor and effectiveness a lot. I will definitely be back.
Very attentive. Dr. Chung knows her stuff and is very thorough! She is well educated and wiling to explain anything to you. She is also great on advice!
I love her! She's so honest and and I really feel like she has my best interest at heart.
My establishment of care visit with Dr. Chung was excellent -- she's clearly a well informed professional and I appreciated her taking the time to explain intricacies of both my care and health insurance, so there'd be no surprise about the price of tests. Unfortunately, the wait was very long (over one hour) for my visit, which was frustrating as a new patient.
Excellent experience. Me and my wife were seen quickly. Dr. Chung was kind and professional.
Her office was cluttered and disorganized. She had the wrong file on the screen and only realized this mistake after I told her that I was 31 and not 27, the age of the person's whose file she was looking at. She also struggled taking my blood and sent me to the phlebotomist on the 5th floor who managed to find the vein that she could not.
She's a great doctor and person. Very caring and makes you feel very comfortable. She takes her time talking to you and explaining things. I'm so glad she's my main doctor now.
I haven't had a physical check up for a while so she was pretty thorough. I'm so gald that she save my time from my blood drawn.
I came in for an annual physical. I felt very rushed. So rushed that she never even took my blood pressure or tapped on my knees! When she did the physical exam she never even had me take off or lift my clothing. She barely touched me. I never even felt the stethoscope touch me. I understand she has a lot of patients, but she needs to slow down.
Dr. Chung knows what she is doing and is helpful in every way. The secretary is the most pleasant person I've seen! I feel welcomed here.
Would recommend to anyone! Highly personable and took the time to fully understand my medical history and current issues. I found my primary care doctors in NYC!
Muy eficiente en su trabajo me gustó mucho
The first time I went, I waited about 40 minutes before being called in. Once I did get in to see the doctor, she took many phone calls and even one for her lunch order. I had to go back early on a weekend for blood tests, and she was late to the office but got me out quickly once she did arrive. All in all, a mediocre experience. Her receptionist was very kind and happy though.
So informative, hardly any wait time and she was extremely attentive. I'm definitely going back!!!
You get the feeling that you are being rushed out of her office.
Overcharged for a simple visit. Beware!
Great, will go again
Great visit, very personable and made me feel comfortable. Everyone in the office is great and has a sense of humor. Highly recommended.
Terrible experience. Susie is very nice, but is terribly forgetful. Doesn't make patients feel like she cares about them. I guess I'm used to the hospitality of a primary care doctor who makes an effort to take care of their patients. I'm from California, so I guess it could be that New York is more impersonal, anyways - bad experience.
My visit with Dr. Chung was just wonderful, she is very meticulous and took her time with every little detail. It was a pleasure speaking with her upon various topics and I am beyond thrilled I chose her to be my primary care doctor.
very comfortable. I felt very comfortable discussing my health and concerns.
I felt very comfortable and she took her time asking me all kinds of questions.
Long wait time to see doctor. Critical lab work and surgery clearance forms were not sent to the hospital as promised. Multiple calls and follows up were required to confirm delivery of forms. My surgeon had to conduct the same tests pre-surgery as they were not provided as promised by Dr.Chung.
informative. specific. listened well and then diagnosed.
After waiting for over 2 hours to see the doctor, I felt like I was just being rushed through so she could get to the next patient. Without a definite diagnosis, I walked away with a z-pack and no instruction for follow up or next steps. Would not recommend.
Dr. Chung is excellent, intelligent but humble, kind but sincere about her work. I would definitely recommend her, especially because she is not the typical in a rush NY doctor. The wait time complaints are accurate, but I realize why: Dr. Chung does everything herself, from entering history to blood pressure to physicals. Most places I go to have a nurse to do half this work. I'm not sure whether Dr. Chung likes doing all the work herself and that's the reason why. Worth the wait!
Thanks doc! I work at Citi and have been seeing Dr Chung for years
excellent treatment; very detail oriented!
I love Dr. Chung she has been my doctor for close to 10 years. She is always available to answer all questions and concerns very smart and honest. She makes you feel very comfortable and has great office hours for that nice swanky office.
Not personable. Staff barely speaks english.
This is more of a criticism of ZocDoc rather than the Dr. I didn't know this doctor wasn't certified to prescribe me my Ritalin medication until 30 minutes after waiting for my appointment. The secretary asked me to sign a form with someone else's name on it (instead of mine) and when I corrected her she said she couldn't find my information on ZocDoc. Turns out she thought my first name was my last name and had gotten confused. This all happened before I was told that the doctor isn't certified. Something that ZocDoc should have told me before even making my appointment.
Simply incredible service!
Don't be fooled by the pretty striped walls in thumbnail preview pics. Office is disorganized, at best. Expected wait time should not fall consistently between 30-60 minutes. Perhaps this means scheduling less appointments? Respect people's time.
Susie was very thorough. She took her time explaining everything and I didnt feel rushed. Would go to her again.
There is an acceptable amount of time to wait at a doctor's office (i.e. 10 - 20 minutes), and there is also an unacceptable wait time, which I experienced at Susie Chung's office today. I called ahead, to make sure my appointment was going to be on time (I work down the street). I arrived 10 minutes early and had pre-filled all my paperwork online. Dr. Chung arrived late, frazzled, with 4 people in the waiting room. If the doctor was running late, I should have been alerted that my appointment would not start on time when I called ahead, but that did not happen. After waiting for 45 minutes, I couldn't get an answer on how much longer it would be. My time is valuable, and I would never make one of my clients wait for +45 minutes without an update on time or an apology.
Your time with your doctor should always be like this, where there is no mystery, the doctor explains every procedure, asks for your consent for each procedure and gives you concrete information about what could be wrong and what you need to do. It should be a norm but I never had such luck-- that is until I met Dr. Chung. Hands down the best doctor I had in NYC.
If you are willing to wait between 1 and 2 hours for your appointment, then this place is fine. If you are not willing to wait that long, then this place isn't for you.
Extremely long wait time
First appointment cancelled, 45 minute wait. Once I got there, very positive. Excellent.
Very patient and takes her time getting info from patients. Would highly recommend!
DR.chung was very professional and very kind i wish more doctors could be like her. good work
Very professional and I highly recommend her
Personable and knowledgable, friendly and professional. I would definitely recommend a friend.
Enjoyed the appointment. Dr. was friendly and understanding, very helpful. Clean and pretty nice office - they seem to have a bit of trouble with appointment timing and people having to wait long times, but I only waited 20 minutes or so.
Dr.Chung was very professional and answered all my questions clearly. The only negative thing about my visit was the long wait; waited about 2 hours for my turn to see her.
Horrible wait time! (I waited around two hours for my scheduled appointment...I don't know if that's typically for this office or not). But otherwise, it was fine.
As per all other reviews, Dr. Chung is great, but her wait is long. There was only 1 patient ahead of me when I was there, and I still had to wait at least 45 minutes. I'd recommend bringing a good book or something to do.
The wait was long but tje receptionist was wonderful.Dr. Chung was efficient professional and nice.
I'm reluctant to write such a negative review but Dr. Chung's methodology is seriously awry. She was extremely late, highly strung, unsettling, spastic, and offered worst-case scenarios and diagnoses before even reviewing my records. If you really want to upset yourself, you're better off reading horror stories on WebMD in the comfort of your own home. I have never experienced a doctor that behaved in this manner and would not return to her under any circumstances.
Her administrative staff could have been more attentive, organized and helpful but my actual appointment with Dr. Chung was great. Her attention to detail and personal follow up was much appreciated.
Dr. Chung was very nice and knowledgable. Once I was able to see her, my annual check-up lasted less than 20 minutes. However, I waited around 45 minutes to see her.
Very pleasant visit. The staff was very nice, the office is extremely clean, and doctor Chung was very thorough in her review of my symptoms. She answered all my questions and made me feel very at ease discussing any issues.
overall was good.
She's professional and friendly - but the wait was 1.5 hours.
Had a perfectly fine appointment, and left quite happy. But when it came time to renew my birth control prescription, it was a total pain. I had to call her office numerous, numerous times and was left totally in the dark about whether anything was being done. It took about 2 weeks to get the prescription renewed, and they only gave me a 2 month prescription. Didn't want to go through the huge hassle again, so I found a new doctor before my two months were up.
Really thorough and so lovely. So happy I found her!
Dr. Chung was excellent. I highly recommend her. She's very personable and provided clear explanations and was very thorough. I left feeling confident about what she recommended and look forward to returning to her again. Her office staff are also very friendly and the office location is convenient only one block from the subway.
Dr.Chung was very friendly and helpful. However I waited an hour and a half before seeing her (and there were only 3 people in front of me). The MOA was also very polite and friendly, but I had to ask her for the forms as a new patient. She also forgot to pre-fill information into the computer prior to seeing the Dr, so I had to wait more.
She's a great doctor, but if you don't have the time to wait over two hours every time you make an appointment, she's probably not the right choice.
I went in as a new patient looking to just get an annual check up. From my initial impression, I could tell she was quite busy... jumping into her own practice after jumping out of her shifts at other hospitals. Although I had to wait quite sometime before seeing her, her receptionist was very sweet and kept me company. I appreciated Dr. Chung's quickness and giving me all my information straight.
Great bedside manner and really friendly and easy to talk to. Unfortunately, the secretary made a mistake and scheduled my appointment for the wrong day despite my receiving a confirmation from Zocdoc, and I waited over an hour before I saw the doctor.
Very smart doctor, i would recommend her to others
Dr. Chung is really great! She was thorough and took the time to ask a lot of questions. The wait time was pretty terrible, but if you read the reviews, you are not expecting to be seen right away. Going to the doctor is my least favorite thing to do and a smile would have gone a long way with me. However, Dr. Chung is very nice and thorough.
Nice, sweet and listened intently. She examined me thoroughly and was quite gentle and pleasant
Other than the hour and half wait, the Dr. Chung was very attentive and tries to answer any concerns I've had (which may have an impact on the wait time). Overall, highly recommended.
Took 1.5 h before I was seen. The doctor seemed knowledgable and took down my medical history in detail. She painlessly took blood.
Very thorough doctor. The only con was the long wait.
The visit itself was quick. I recommend this Doctor. The only reason I had a long wait time was because she was on call at the hospital that day but other than the wait the service was great. I def recommend her
Great Doctor, very informative and attentive. Her office was clean, organized and well decorated ( which isn't that important, but makes you feel like you made a good choice.)
Dr. Chung is very thorough and patient, put me at ease, asked relevant questions and gave explanations for everything she was doing. Front staff was also super friendly. Am happy to have her as my primary doctor!
Great bedside manner. The wait was a bit long - about 45 minutes. But it was worth it. She was extremely thorough and personable. She asked tons of questions and listened very well. I highly recommend her.
I found doctor Susie to be very professional & helpful. She had lots of information she relayed to me. I went for an annual physical. I didn't mind the wait, but I know patients don't always have a lot of time to wait in office.
Dr. Chung's bedside manner was satisfactory, but she did not come across as very warm. I would visit her again because her office is close to my apartment.
Susie was very professional and thorough.
Very thorough, answered my questions and concerns with care and explained in layman's terms what she was doing and anything/ everything I had a question about.
The whole thing was really weird and creepy. I had to go up into some crazy building that had all types of weird things going on. The front desk looked disorganized and super old fashioned. I had to wait a super long time even though I booked my appointment for 4:30. Worst of all I asked some basic questions about some concerns I had and the doctor proceeded to tell me about all of the most horrible things these things could possibly mean. Talk about alarmist. I left feeling like I had every disease in the world. They also freaked me out by calling me a week later to say that there was something in blood results that the doctor needed to talk to me about. WOAH! Now I was scared. I asked the girl at the front desk to tell me what it was but she insisted I had to come back in. So preparing for the worst news, I came back to the office only to have her tell me that my calcium was on the high side and that she wanted to repeat the test. NOT that it was high. That it was in the high range of normal. Come on, why the hell couldn't they have said that on the phone and not freaked me out? My guess is that they wanted to get the extra insurance money from having me come in for another visit and another blood draw. No thank you.
She was agreeable, friendly, and understanding of my needs as a patient.
I've always been a bit wary of physicals, but Dr. Chung made me feel immediately at ease by explaining what she was checking and why, and giving me a clear understanding of what to expect in terms of results of the various tests she conducted. Annoyed at first that my original appointment went so late, recommend calling reception before heading over, as they tend to be way overbooked. Nonetheless, will definitely be going back!
There is always a delay, but this time I called ahead to see if Dr. Chung was running late--- would recommend that. That said, worth the wait! Dr. Chung is really attentive and gives you great advice above and beyond a regular exam. She makes sure you get all your questions answered and have nothing outstanding. And has a really nicely decorated and clean office.
When I finally got to see her, she was extremely pleasant and had great bedside manner. She took her time with you, asking all the right questions, and was attentive when you gave her your answers. I guess that's why the wait was so long, because she didnt rush you out the door.
My visit was nice once I was actually seen. I think they tend to over schedule people which is a little frustrating. I waited for an hour and a half to see Dr Susie Chung. If she wasn't so pleasant I would go somewhere else.
Dr. Chung has great bedside manners and is very approachable. However, I did not appreciate having to wait almost 45 minutes for my scheduled appointment.
Excellent doctor - was very patient and thorough, took time to go through all of my medical history, concerns and complaints. Very personable and friendly. Highly recommend!
Dr Susie Chung projected sincere care and interest in me as a patient and a person and took the necessary time to discuss any concerns I had. My experience with Dr. Chung has been so much better than what I was previously used to.
She's always so thorough, check medical history (update it), go through all possible symptoms (in case you forgot) and give all possible diagnoses (without freaking you out). There could be a bit of a wait, but at least in my experience, it has never been more than 30 minutes. Highly recommended.
I understood that there would probably be a long wait from other reviews I read about Dr. Chung, but I agree that the wait is worth it. It is only because she takes her time with her patients and really listens and talks to you. I really appreciated that she was available on Saturday, and didn't just say she was available and then have me see someone else at her office, like other doctors I've booked with on this site. If time is an issue for you, then maybe this office isn't the one for you, but if you have questions and want to have a discussion about your health, then I absolutely recommend Dr. Chung.
It was great, just had to wait a while because of a customer before me that could not speak english.
Very friendly, didn't make me feel rushed at all. Would definitely recommend.
Consultation was good. She went through all possibilities of my medical history between my family and I pertaining to my condition. One note that I was a little miffed about was her answering/texting on her phone during my initial consultation. I don't take it personally, because I'm sure it was with patients and I'm happy to know she'll respond quickly to me if I had to call in. I can get over this though, since she was very attentive during the examination and explained possibilities of what my condition might be.
It was good - other than the fact that I needed to wait for a little over an hour past my appointment time. Also, it seemed like the office was primarily for Chinese speakers, and I am a caucasian. She was very friendly, took the time to explain to me how my insurance worked, and how NYC doctors work (I just moved here).
She was very thorough and considerate. She took the time to listen carefully to her patient's concerns.
her office is very cute and she was able to tend to my needs and questions
Dr. Susie Chung was extremely personable, friendly and patient. I loved my visit! She answered all my questions and provided several options. Just be prepared to wait about 40 minutes per patient before you...but she's worth it!
Lovely woman. She was kind, thorough, and had an air of experience about her. If I have to go to a Dr. any time soon it will be her.
Been there a few times. Really frustrated with the wait time (at least two times), and I have trouble getting in touch with the office via phone / voicemails. That's the downside.
i like dr chung, she is very easy to talk to, and makes sense. the waiting time is a little long, but it is expected, plus the office is super nice. so i didn't mind at all. i plan to keep her as my family doctor.
Follow up after appointments not good. Never get call backs about lab results.
Dr. Chung was very friendly and very thorough. I felt completely comfortable talking to her. She is extremely knowledgeable, and she answered my questions in full. Despite the wait time, I'll be happy to go back.
Office is in Chinatown. Arrived ten minutes early for my appointment, and waited more than one hour before I was seen.
I like Susie and once you're with her, she's quick. But she doesn't have a nurse so wait times can be close to two hours.
Great doctor- very knowledgeable and takes care in following. There's definitely a wait to see her, but the receptionist is great in quoting you a time, you can walk around shop, etc and come back in an hour or closer to when you'll actually see her.
Really great doctor, helpful and nice. Over an hour wait.... Nicest doctors office I've ever seen.
Dr. Susie Chung had seen my mother. Thank goodness for her hours. Although the wait was a long time, there were a lot of patients waiting and we were finally seen. She is a caring doctor and you can feel confident that she always has your best interest. However, the only reason why the recommendation would be "probably" would be due to the long wait. I commend her for having more hours that are available to clients who may not be able to take off work to see her.
attentive, professional, helpful, very knowledgeable and nice
she is very friendly and thorough
Dr. Chung was attentive and to the point. She made sure to address any concerns that you might have had. She had an easy going demeanor but was still professional.
She seemed thorough, I guess, but would sort of babble about all the possible causes of quite common symptoms ("maybe it's kidney failure, maybe it's liver failure, maybe you have HIV"...). I would not go back.
My 3:45PM annual physical on a Saturday was pushed all the way back to 5:50PM. By the time Dr. Chung saw me it was near the end of her day and she was noticeably looking forward to wrap things up. Every portion of the exams from the questions she asked me to the tests she did was rushed to the point that it was unprofessional. She did not tell me what she was doing prior to actually doing it which led to some awkward moments when she touched me in places unexpectedly. In addition, the physical was horribly un-thorough. She never asked me if I had any issues I'd like her to look at and skipped what I thought to be regular checks (such as examining my nose, checking reflexes, etc.) This was an annual physical after all! Needless to say, after a 2+ hour wait and a doctor that was sloppy and didn't seem to care I cannot recommend Dr. Chung.
I thought the visit was good. Dr. Chung wants to make a correct diagnosis or analysis.
Dr.Chung was great, but her receptionist was a little aloof. I showed up 15 minutes early to fill out paperwork, then proceeded to wait for over an hour to see Dr.Chung.
First time going to Dr.Susie Chung, got there early so i can fill out some requirement forms just in case of needed.Instead of hoping finish early,it end up taking a long time. Dues to lack of short staff and operation. And very unprofessional front desk.
She is an excellent doctor and listener. She was very attentive and thorough. I would definitely recommend her to friends and family. I had to wait a while, but that was only because she was being very thorough with her patient ahead of me (which I appreciated and had not problem with). It is worth the wait to see a good, thorough doctor!
No wait. Quick and concise diagnosis and thoroughly answered any questions I had.
She was very nice, I felt comfortable and she is concern about getting to the root of the issue.
The overall experience with Dr. Chung is a mixed bag for me. I liked that she had Saturday hours which worked really well for my schedule. However, when I arrived at the office I waited over 2 hours to see the doctor and I had plans so this upset me quite a bit. When I finally sat down with the doctor she was polite but I felt as though her attend was split. After my examination I felt a bit like I was being dismissed. However Dr. Chung greatly redeemed herself when she called with my test results. She was extremely polite, informed, engaged. She gave me options, consulted with other professionals that knew more than her and made sure that her receptionist reached out to me to schedule a follow-up. The fact that that call was so attentive with something so serious saved my impression of her. Maybe I originally got Dr. Chung on an off day the first time but I’m going to give her a second chance and hope that all of my future visits are as helpful as that phone conversation was.
Very professional, good listener. Very caring.
I was seen on the same day i made my appointment, also since I was gonna need to be sent for x rays the Doctors office called and asked me to come in earlier then my appointment. I went in 2 hours earlier then my appointment. The only reason I had to wait to be seen was for the paper work I had to fill out. Other then that I would highly recommend Dr. Chung, she was very thorough and was very pleasant to talk to and explain my issues.
Dr. Chung was personable and really thorough. She made me feel really comfortable. Really great visit!
Dr. Chung is very patient and nice. She listens to patients very carefully. The secretary who works for her is also very nice and patient. I was there early for about 30 minutes and I saw how sweet the secretary was helping an old woman with her insurance issues for entire 30 minutes.
I had to wait close to an hour and a half past my appointment time. She as a doctor was fine but i missed 2 trains to wait for this appointment.
A wonderful doctor who takes her time to listen and explain things to you.
She was a wonderful mix of professional and friendly. I felt very comfortable talking with her.
Dr. Chung didn't rush me at all like most doctors. She sat down and spoke with me for at least 30 minutes about my symptoms, which helped relieve the anxiety I was having. She's friendly, informative, and very thorough. I absolutely will see her again. I think I found a new doctor!
She really took the time to talk about work, family, and my health!
Dr. Chung thinks about root causes and long term solutions, rather than just quick fixes or treating symptoms. She is very thorough and thoughtful.
Dr. Chung takes the time to speak with her patients and actually listens to what they say. She is a caring professional.
She was very nice and, hopefully as we shall see if the medication is effective, cleared up my issues.
I ended up waiting 2 hours to be seen. The doctor was very informative, but ended up taking another patient's call in the middle of my appointment.
She is really nice and informative. She happened to be late the day of my appointment, but I can tell she usually isn't and she was very apologetic. Highly recommend her. It's a nice office as well.
I made an appointment with her office for my annual physical exam. I waited for a considerable amount of time in the waiting room. When I finally sat down with her, she rushed through the exam. After my blood work, I was left waiting in a room not even knowing the appointment was over. I still had questions, so Dr. Chung came out from her office into the reception area to answer them. She seems impatient with me and annoyed. The receptionist was also extremely rude.
She was excellent, just as the other reviews stated. Professional, thorough, and courteous.
Dr. Chung is great. She always takes the time to understand my problems and make the right diagnosis. She even took the time to consult me on some future career plans!
I think she is one of the best doctors around. She is very thorough in assessing your health. She asks good questions and she will give you thorough testing to diagnose your symptoms. She is also very friendly and is interested in you as a person. I will definitely be going back.
Dr. Chung was very professional. She clearly communicated my issues with me and she has gained my confidence immediately.
She was really nice and informative
Great experience.I did not get the feeling of being rushed. Dr. Chung did a complete examination and was very patient in listening to my symptoms. The only negative part was the long wait time before I finally got to see her.
Susie Chung's not very thorough and she treats patients very rudely. I've been to her a few times and always felt rushed. I wouldn't even mind the 2 hour+ wait if she were a good doctor (but the wait time itself tells me that she doesn't respect her patients' time). From personal interaction with her and observations in the waiting room, Chung almost always speaks down to patients and I question if she's ever heard of HIPAA before (ex: during one of the visits, I heard too much personal health information of at least 4 of her patients -names, illnesses, tests they're getting done, etc. that she openly spoke about in the waiting area). If you have to go to her, I recommend making sure she closes the door when she speaks to you (or like I do: close the door yourself).
Office was small and cramped. I waited over an hour. I was charged for blood tests which my new GP did not charge for.
Dr. Susie Chung paid a lot of attention to me and provided very good service. She ran necessary tests and provided excellent treatment.
It has been over three weeks since I had a cat scan performed, and Dr. Chung has not even read the reports yet. I have called repeatedly and even after speaking with Dr. Chung about having the tests performed, three weeks later she has no recollection that I had the test, and I still have no answers. I just hope that anyone with a more serious condition than I will not make the same mistake by seeing a doctor who is so unprofessional. I can't describe how frustrated and belittled this doctor has made me feel.
The office is very clean and attractive, and the receptionist was efficient and friendly. Dr. Chung was very personable and thorough. I did not feel rushed, and she's a good listener. She's well-versed in the realities of insurance companies, and mentioned how insurance coverage might influence treatments and tests several times during our meeting. She offered some helpful suggestions about treatments and medication management. She's very honest, to the point where she suggested that her services might be redundant in my particular case. She's correct. I can only give her a "probably recommend" because I only met her once. I liked her, and I think she'd be a fine primary care doctor for someone without my particular medical issues.
I thought she was a wonderful Doctor. She was my second opinion and she did a full review of my paper work from my previous doctor. She was very informative and really took her time to answer all my questions and seemed to really care about my health. She will be my new primary care physician.
She was very thorough and thoughtful. She listened to me and asked smart questions to get a full picture of my health. She projected possible steps and options for me and made me feel empowered about my health!
Dr. Susie Chung seemed very knowledgeable, though spoke quite a bit and spoke quickly. The office was clean though and she was very helpful to my concerns.
Even though she seems very busy, she cares to get to know you and does not rush your appointment. Smart fantastic lady!
Answered all of my questions, I didn't feel rushed. She was super informative.
Very thorough and professional. I loved the fact that Dr. Chung did not pressure me into tests or exams and at the same time addressed all of my concerns. Her explanation was easy to follow. The wait time could be improved, but she experienced delay in traffic and apologized.
Very professional and very sincere. Wish I found her sooner. She will be my new primary care doctor.
She loves to educate her patients. I felt well informed about my condition and treatment plan. Highly recommended!
The wait time was pretty outrageous. However, once I saw Dr. Chung the wait time totally made sense. Dr. Chung took a lot of time to speak with me and understand my health and place in life.
Nice and personable doctor. Howver, the wait time was awful, and the service was a bit unprofessional. Not sure if I would make a second visit, but it was not a good experience overall.
It was the only professional that when calling me to provide me with my test results, explained everything with details and answered all my questions and even provided me with additional information. I am very pleased.
Dr. Chung really took the time to listen to everything I had to say and provide feedback. Addressed all my concerns in a friendly and helpful manner.
Love! She is always on time and extremely friendly. Makes conversation and is quite personable. You can tell she takes her time with each and every patient. Plus, Chinatown is always an adventure!
Wonderfully pleasant, but also direct. Talks very quickly, but listens with care. Truly sought out all alternative solutions for my problem. Wait time was a bit long though.
She was really nice and accommodating. She let me talk as long as I needed to, and was able to diagnose me right away. She has a nice office, very close to my workplace!
Dr. Chung was amazing. She was very thorough with me during my appointment. She made sure that I understood what was going on and was very sweet. I was the last patient of the day for her and she still gave me 100% of her attention.
I went to Dr. Chung for a regular check-up. I received a voicemail to call back to receive the results of my bloodwork. When I called back the receptionist had no idea who I was and said she'd call me back. She never did. I called back a second time to get my results and was unable to get them at that time either. I never received a follow-up call and still don't know the results of my bloodwork!
Dr. Susie is very professional and easy to get along with. Highly recommend her to everyone. Thank you dr. susie
Rudest and most unprofessional clinic i have ever visited in my life. I was horrified with the way i was treated. Would rather stay ill than visit this clinic again.
Dr. Chung was friendly. I went for an annual check-up and her questions didn't seem very thorough compared to past physicians. Furthermore, she took at least 3 phone calls while I sat half-naked in her office. She was constantly distracted and as a patient I was not comfortable.
Dr. Chung is fantastic; she will take her time to go over all your concerns and does an incredible job to make you feel at ease. She's a true professional and makes a clinical setting not so intimidating. Would love to have her as my PCP.
Dr Chung was overall a nice doctor, though the 20 minute wait was annoying and she answered a long phone call in front of me.
I really enjoyed Dr. Chung. Very easy to talk to and very friendly. Will be going back to her in the future.
Really easy to talk to. Super Helpful. Highly Recommend Dr. Chung.
Enjoyed my visit. I try to avoid going near chinatown but went here for an emergency visit about a condition I was worried about. despite my hypochondriac tendencies/paranoia - Dr. Chung was very professional, calm, friendly, down to earth- explained in detail exactly what i needed to hear from a doctor! Definitely made me feel more at ease and provided medication needed. Would recommend.
Very kind and helpful!
Long wait before I was seen but Susie was great and would definitely recommend her.
She was very friendly and down to earth. She explained everything she was doing and thinking to me without being condescending. I'm new to New York and will probably make her my official new GP.
She was very personable and a great listener. She seemed interested in getting to know me as a patient. Also, even though I had to wait, it was obvious that she just didn't want to rush things with her patients. I would definitely recommend her to others.
Before she drew blood or did any examination, she sat me down in her office and we talked about my medical history and about any medical concerns I had. She was very easy to talk to and helpful in recommending a course of action. The actual check-up was very quickly and professionally done. I will be recommending her to my friends.
Dr. Chung is an excellent doctor. She is friendly and really listens to everything you say. She is great at what she does. You will definitely feel comfortable with her. The only negative is that there is a long wait but it's only because she spends her time with each patient. When it's your turn, you won't see this as a negative.
Another good visit with this doctor.
Wait time varies. But great doctor -- will listen, offer advice, very warm. Serious when needed; and more relaxed, funny when appropriate too.
I really enjoyed my visit with Dr. Susie Chung. She listened to me more than any other doctor I've been at before. She gave me good advice and did not shrug off minor things about my health. My only complaint was the 30 minute wait to get in, but this was my first time in and so hopefully it won't be like that again!
Dr. Chung was very friendly and informative. She took time to answer all my questions. I did not feel rushed what so ever, I felt like I was her only patient.
She's really personable.
Very nice office, sweet receptionist, Dr. Chung saw me right away. Appointment was very brief- I went for a check up.
I came in during my lunch break and waited over 45 minutes for my appointment with no apologies. My symptoms were fever and sore throat, and she didn't even take my temperature. To me, that's just careless.
Very pleasant. Answered all questions thoroughly. Plus an incredibly short wait which is nearly impossible to have in NYC.
Dr. Chung is very wonderful! She is very caring. She did not rush through the appointment at all, she took her time and made sure that all my cares and concerns were talked about. I will be seeing her again soon and recommend her to everyone I know. She is great!
I am thrilled with Dr. Chung. She was warm, informative, asked amazing questions and made me feel like I was in control of my situation. And when I got a little light headed during a blood test she gave me some amazing chocolate. :)
Dr. Chung took her time and did not rush the appointment. She asked lots of questions and was very informative. I definitely recommend her!!
Dr Chung was highly professional, knowledgeable and friendly. She made me feel very comfortable and provided more information that I'd expected and that definitely helped me to understand what I was sick with.
Dr Chung is fantastic (and I am very discerning when is comes to my doctors). Took me on a Saturday (when most MDs are closed), great assistant, everything was smoothly run and felt high tech, in a beautiful office! She was thorough, smart, informative and kind-- and prescribed me an antibiotic on the spot! I can't believe I almost waited until Monday to go to my regular GP (who is also awesome, but closed on Saturday)!
She explained every thing to me and the purpose and function of the current medicine that I'm taking which none of my previous doctor did with me.
My first visit and found her to be attentive and thorough.
Had to reschedule once after an hour+ wait when I was the only patient in the office.
Very attentive and sharp. She made a point of explaining the reasoning behind everything she was doing and letting me know all of my options. Really positive experience overall
