The most common problems Dr. Wasik sees in his practice are depression and anxiety, OCD, PTSD, eating disorders, along with problems in relationships at work, at home, or with loved ones. He was kind and knowledgeable but disorganized. Generally speaking you want some kind of continuity between sessions and he didn't seem to ever refer to notes from previous sessions, so they were often disjointed and didn't result in cumulative progress.
Dr Wasik is a excellent and professional psychiatrist and physician. He uses time tested techniques and knows when to guide but does not lead. His excellent work brought me out of a deep depression and assisted in improving many other areas in my life. My anxiety which was out of control when I before I began working with Dr Wasik, is now under control and I will be off all medications within a few weeks. I would highly recommend Dr Wasik to anyone looking to make improvements in your mental well being.
Dr. Theodore Wasik was very professional and extremely helpful. His office was comfortable and his place was easy to find, easy parking, in a beautiful neighborhood.
Dr. Wasik was the first long-term therapist I've seen. I only stopped because my insurance changed. As someone who went through life not ever thinking he'd need a therapist, in one year, Dr. Wasik has helped me make significant changes in my life. I look forward to continuing my journey in therapy and continuing to improve the quality of my life. Dr. Wasik has been an important part of helping me make the first steps.
I've been seeing him for about 4 - 6 months at this point. I know the definition of a good therapist depends on the patient but for me, where I was new and uncomfortable to therapy, he was patient and I feel I've made great progress. Sometimes there's a bit of a wait (usually no more than 15 minutes) when previous appointments run long but seeing that I benefit from it frequently when he lets our sessions run over rather than cutting me off during insightful moments, I don't mind. Sometimes I also have to repeat details previously talked about but I also find that ok, given the time gap between our sessions and him seeing many patients. All in all, I've had a great experience working with Dr Wasik.
I saw him a few times and he was always very scattered and disorganized. He kept forgetting what we had talked about previously and would sit for 10 minutes reading notes from our past session.
Dr. Wasik is an excellent clinician. He is on time, organized and able to accomplish alot in a short time through the use of expert therapeutic skills. It is a pleasure to go to his appointments. He is also a nice person who relates well to his clients. He has an interactive style which is probably wished for by most clients but not always accomplishable. Appointment time with Dr. Wasik is well spent.
Dr. Wasik is a wonderful psychiatrist. He has helped me immensely, he gives great feedback and challenges my thought process. I would highly recommend him.
Dr. Wasik is very professional and highly practical. He's a good listener and he knows how to make individualized recommendations based on your situation.
The doctor would have problems staying awake on more than one occasion during my visit, and he always appeared focused on his wallet than my service. i would not recommend Dr Wasik
I first started working with DR. Wasik a year ago when I was having very bad side affects to my Anti-depressant prescribed by my PCP. Within an hour of me contacting him he responded and asked a series of questions and set up an appointment. I have seen a few very good psychiatrists in the past but he is by far the best. He allows me the space to work thru my emotions and thoughts but remains present enough to interject when needed or asked. My health insurance recently changed and his practice did not take my new insurance. I have been so positively impacted by seeing him I decided to pay my insurance out of pocket in order to continue my work with him. I am usually a very critical person but I would without question recommend him to anyone.
