I Love my New Doctor she is very friendly and very helpful and understanding, as well as the staff especially the Ma’s super nice and treats everyone equally. I love that with me being an African American women I was treated fairly I don’t get that often! Thank you I’m excited to make this my permanent Doctors office

Dr. Ursula Barghouth is a family medicine physician in the southeast Detroit metro area. She sees patients of all ages and offers a broad scope of services from wellness exams and sports physicals, to office procedure, to treatment of acute and chronic medical conditions. In addition to family medicine, she is certified in Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine. With her background in both fields, she can provide both procedural and medical treatment to patients with chronic wounds while also addressing underlying chronic conditions that cause these wounds.
Dr. Barghouth's goal is to collaborate with her patients to create individualized treatment plans that help them reach their health goals; she encourages questions and encourages patients to take an active role in their medical care so that they are comfortable with their diagnosis and treatment plan.
Dr. Barghouth received her Bachelor's of Science from University of California in Los Angeles and received her Master's of Science in Public Health from Tulane University in New Orleans. She attended A.T. Still University School of Osteopathic Medicine in Arizona for medical school and received a dual DO/MHA degree. Prior to residency, she completed the Training in Policy Studies Fellowship Program through the American Osteopathic Association. She completed her Family Medicine Residency at Beaumont Grosse Pointe. Her professional interests include health policy, community medicine, and working with underserved populations. She also has an interest in public health, wound care and clinical research. Dr. Barghouth is active in various medical organizations and volunteers at free health clinics in Detroit. In her spare time, Ursula enjoys spending time with family and friends, hiking and traveling.
