Patient reviews for Dr. Vasundhara Cheekati
Excellent Doctor!
She was exceptionally thorough and patient. Great bedside manner. Very happy with the plan that she put together
Very kind and knowledgeable doctor
Everything was good except the wait time. I showed up 15 minutes before my appointment to make sure I had time to complete any paperwork, and I still waited over an hour.
I was very pleased once I saw her. She seemed to care about my issues and was very thorough with making sure she understood my history and what type of treatment makes the most sense for me. I would definitely recommend.
Visit was perfect. As a new patient in denial of what was taken place, I felt Dr. Cheekati took the necessary time to gain insight, evaluate/ask questions, and mainly educated me on the what(s) and why(s) of my visit (while creating a comfortable environment). In addition her whole team was welcoming and amazing.
It was a great visit. I felt welcomed and got all I wanted to get done.
Normal new patient paperwork. Dr. Cheekati did a great job going through questions to understand the problems. Provided options and her professional opinion. Great visit.
She was very understanding and informative about my situation and medications
The Doctor was fairly well, but the receptionist/nurse was awful. She asked me private questions and questions about my symptoms in an open area, and I felt no privacy. She was VERY unfriendly and not kind at all. I don't know if its the same person but the receptionist on the phone was also VERY unhelpful and I had to call the office so many times. just a waste of time. It is very sad and disappointing that a doctor can be judged poorly just because the receptionist does an awful job. I do not reccommend this place.
Super Awesome.
Doctor Cheekati was wonderful. she listened to every concern i had and explained every part of her exam to me. i felt comfortable and well taken care of.
waste of my time. She claim that she needed my prior doctor records. schedule me another appoint ment and when that time came she still had not read the records.
The office staff and Dr. Cheekati are extremely caring and nice. She made sure to cover all of my concerns. I’d recommend them to anyone.
The doctor and nurse were great! They saw me quickly and explained all my medications well to me.
She was knowledgeable as an MD should be and very helpful.
Dr. Vasundhara Cheekati is great. She was very thorough on my visit. She did not treat me like a number.
Very caring and knowledgeble. Great for annual physical and preventive care!
She was amazing. She was patient and caring. I highly recommend her. Great service. Didn't feel like a number. Nurses where also amazing.
Dr. Cheekati is awesome. She provided me an adequate amount of attention and efficient with instructions and explaining all things health related
New patient
Short wait time. Very patient and knowledgeable.
Very pleasant consult and provided good advice/recommendations based on my needs.
Her staff and nurses where fantastic. I arrived earlier than expected. They went ahead and started my check up. and I was finished with soon after my lab work was done.
I thought the receptionist was very rude at check out. The nurse who took my blood was great. The doctor I was very bossy, know it all, and seemed to question everything i was telling like I wasn’t telling g the truth. I was hopeful for her to be my new physician but that won’t be the case.
Very friendly and makes you feel comfortable. I would definitely recommend this doctor.
Dr Cheekati was thorough and paid close attention to potential drug interactions and my long list of allergies. The only downside was filling out forms on paper ( I prefer online).
To start I was lost and frustrated when trying to find the practice and called worried I would be charged for being late. Mayra was kind and reassuring walking me through the directions and assuring me that my tardiness was not an issue. The exam itself was equally painless and reassuring. Dr. Cheekati was amazing and extremely professional. She was thorough in my assessment and offered explanations/recommendations for my general concerns. While the office looks sparse and is clearly a newer practice, the professionalism and quality of care could not have been better. I was told that this private Piedmont networked practice was fairly new but that Dr. Cheekati had practice ER medicine for many years. Last I must comment on how fantastic Mayra was! She was very attentive in prescreening but more importantly the best person to ever take my blood work. I am not sure of her exact position as either an RN or technician but that alone shows how great she was. She clearly had her hands full but was kind and cheerful making the whole visit positive. Overall I would highly recommend Dr Cheekati and the Omni Care practice. This will become my primary care facility.
A very good doctor. Took time to explain everything. I will be going back.
A complete waste of time. Unprofessional. I waited a hour and paperwork wasn’t even given to me. They had their children running around like a playground instead of an office. Do not recommend!
Awesome
I was hoping my experience would be better than the reviews I had seen. My appt was at 11:30 and I came in early at like 11:08 for paperwork. I was ushered in around 11:50 for vitals to be taken and the doctor came in at 12:25. The doctor is nice but ultimately couldn’t really help me but refer me to a specialist. The nurse also wrote down a symptom that I didn’t have and wasn’t concerned about. I waited another 10-20 min for my RX and referral notice. I noticed they spelled my name wrong on my paperwork AND they gave me the wrong number for the referred specialist that I had to search for it myself. I’m not tempted to go back because of wait time and their inaccuracy.
When I arrived for my 8am appointment I was given about 5 pages to fill out by the receptionist, it took about 10-15 min. At about 8:25 I asked if I was going to be seen because I needed to get to work. I was told it typically takes folks 30 mins to fill out the paperwork so my appointment will start at 830. Once I was called to the back at 830 I realized the receptionist was also the MA if I didn’t look down at her pants I would have never known. My vitals were taken and I was placed in a room. Once the dr comes in she tells me my vitals are good but I’m overweight and am at risk for chronic illnesses. Once we get through the visit the MA comes back in to draw blood and could not find my vein. I told her they are pretty deep and they typically use my hand. She responded she doesn’t do hands and proceeds to try and find a vein. It’s 930 and we are sitting here playing the find the vein game and she finally tries my hand and still couldn’t maneuver the needle to draw blood. I left unsatisfied with a requisition to get blood from a local lab center. Needless to say I will be finding a new pcp.
She’s super nice and helpful. The only thing they could improve on is the wait time. I got there 30 minutes early because I was a new patient and figured there’d be paperwork, even though I did this I wasn’t seen until 20 minutes after my scheduled appointment. Once the nurse did all the usual check in things, I waited for another hour and fifteen minutes to see the doctor. I then waited another fifteen minutes to finish up the visit.
She was great!
Very thorough. Awesome bedside manner. Extremely helpful and knowledgeable.
Good experience. They recently moved into a huge, neat and clean office. The AC in the wait rooms wasn't working, but no issues apart from them. The doctor was very helpful and listened with patience. Would recommend.
Friendly staff, awesome Dr. Everyone here made me feel completely at ease. They explained everything to me every step of the way.
Dr. Cheekati and her staff were very professional and warm.
Dr. Cheekati was very professional. She was extremely informative and nice! So was her staff especially Jessica at the front desk.
Dr. Vasundhara Cheekati is humble and patient in attending her patients. She is very calm in listening to our history and explanations before she gives her diagnosis result. Also she extends her prescription in helping other added activities and treatments which may help us in developing good immunity and health status for future. Highly recommend her for all your primary care diagnosis .
It was a good experience overall. The office was not busy when I got there and they were able to get me in and out very fast. The doctor was friendly and thorough in her examination to diagnose me. I would recommend her for anyone looking for a General Practitioner
There was miscommunication between ZocDoc and the office regarding availability.
She couldn't help me with my meds, which I don't blame her for, but she knew before my appontment and even before my intake that she would not be able to prescribe these medications and still chose to see me. Next time be honest! Apparently they saw my request with my exact meds listed on Zocdoc and approved the appointment despite not being able to do it. I heard arguing behind me while I filled out the intake - the doctor would later admit to me this was her and her receptionist arguing because they had accepted the appointment despite not being able to do it. The doctor said her receptionist had attempted to call to cancel the appointment, and so the very first thing I heard from the doctor as she walks into the the exam room was a frustrated lecture on why 'you always have to pick up the phone when the clinic calls'. Seriously, she came in hot already about this. Lady - I get calls from random scam numbers all day, I am not picking up every new number that picks up. That isn't a reasonable expectation of a first-time patient who doesn't even know your phone number yet, and you certainly should not start an appointment angry at ME about that. It's your own broken system that failed you here, not me. The doctor kept explaining to me over and over that they have procedures, like I was an idiot. I happened to write something sassy on the intake about how much paperwork it was and also got lecture on that. Look, I understand there's a process, but 30 minutes of intake paperwork is TOO MUCH, especially when someone has already sent a lot of the basic info via Zocdoc. Stop making it our responsibility to rewrite this info because your forms are different from their forms. Has it ever occurred to you handwriting all that information for you is onerous on some folks? Not everyone has working hands. For some it is literally painful to write. That's why some folks love typing. Not everyone can handwrite all the time. They decided to do a blood draw, but the doctor didn't tell me, she just left the office saying they were going to see what they can do. When I poked my head out of the exam room, she told me she had decided to do a blood draw and so I had to wait while she sent the order into their internal system. The nurse practitioner who would do the draw was sitting right there looking at us, doing nothing. But they have a PROTOCOL so I had to wait until the doctor clicked the buttons for the blood draw, and she told me that would take a while. When I asked if I could get the blood draw done now so I could leave before 10am, the doctor once again lectured me about procedures. Was I impatient and more upset than I probably should've been? Yes, but this doctor kept lecturing me like I had done something wrong, when it was all on her and her staff for mismanaging their Zocdoc appointments. My only crime was setting an appointment via a Zocdoc, and then having the audacity of showing up. They were not ready for me and that isn't my fault. Lastly, I've been to a lot of doctor's offices and filled out every type of paperwork and been through LOTS of intakes, and I can confidently say that this doctor is not just simply following HIPAA mandates. No, this doctor's 'protocols' are aggressively above-and-beyond what is needed and what I have experienced at any other doctor's office, and hamper the doctor's ability to efficiently and effectively see patients.
Didn’t do what I was scheduled to come in for and didn’t realize I was 1 year past the last appointment!
This was my first appointment, and I could not have landed in a better place. The office is not convenient to my home, but totally worth the drive. Everyone is so friendly, kind, and patient. I fully trust that my health is in good hands with Dr. Cheekati.
It's a small practice so you have to be referred to have other concerns addressed. The staff was nice.
Treated as good and recommanded, suggested good thongs to improve health. Over all excellent..
Great doctor
She was very kind enough and patient to listen to all of my issues. I would definitely recommend her.
