I was very pleased and will return for the recommended follow up visit
Dr. Graves is extremely knowledgeable and he was able to accurately diagnose my problem immediately. I do not doubt his ability as a physician. However I felt his bedside manner was horribly poor. I have a skin condition located in a intimate area. I requested specifically for a male physician exactly for this reason. Dr. Graves walked in with his medical assistant and without asking or even explaining, his MA, took a picture of the area zooming in with an IPAD. My next issue is that, Dr. Graves prescribed me medication that my insurance did not cover. I'm sure it'll work but I wont be able to use it because its not covered by my insurance. I went to the pharmacy only to find out that I owed a large sum for a bottle of a compound he recommended. I do wish that Dr. Graves would have had the foresight to recommend a medication that would be financially viable and also treat my condition. Though Dr. Graves knowledge of medicine was impressive his lack of understanding people and empathizing is his greatest flaw.
Just thankful that I didn't have anything that I had to give attention to because the wait time was too long.
He seemed very nice and personable, as did the rest of medical staff. However, the wait was too long. I waited about 3.5 hours.
This was my second time seeing Dr. Graves and he leaves me with no reason to see another dermatologist. He's thorough and to the point and I would definitely recommend him and his staff.
For my first visit it was a positive experience.
Great doctor but has a poor team of unfriendly staff working for him. Wait time was just over 2 hours for an appointment.
It was great. The wait was a little long but overall everything went well
Long wait time but overall good.
He is very thorough and listened to my concerns. He spoke to me after the visit in his office and explained the plan well.
After reading some of the reviews I was hesitant on keeping my appointment with Dr Graves. However, I found the staff to very kind and professional. I also called an hour before to make sure he was on schedule and in the office. My wait was 15 min. I did wait in the exam room for extended periods of time but overall my time was less than an hour. He had a consolation with me in his office in which he reviewed the treatment I should follow. Again very thoughtful and professional.
Good physician. Bad wait time and staff
He was fast and efficient when he did get to me. It seemed like he was overworked. I spent a lot of time waiting in the exam room without any magazines or anything to do. Overall, I spent nearly 2 hours in the facility with about 10 minutes of time with the nurse and doctor combined. About par with most doctor experiences in the US.
Loved the staff! Doc was cool as well.
My visits to Dr. Graves office are always pleasant and informative.
Great service! Everyone was extremely nice and Dr. Graves recognized my issue and was able to prescribe medication right away,
I was pleased with my appointment. Dr. Graves was very friendly and personable. He has a great bedside manner and took his time to explain his treatment plans. The only problem I had was the wait time. It was 30 minutes.
Great doctor highly recommend!
The interaction with staff and doctor were great. The wait time for service was not good, but the service the doctor gives, the wait time is worth it.
The wait was so long and more than two hours. Doctor was friendly but looks do not have enough time to talk. Office staff is nice.
Visit was very informative but the wait was too long. However, I appreciate the Doctor explaining the day of my visit was an unusal type of day with lots of emergencies. The receptionist was very friendly and the lady that came in to explain the eye cream was very nice. However, the young lady that took me to the room Alegra was not informative or friendly.
The environment at Dr. Graves office was nice and the staff seemed very friendly.I spoke with Dr. Graves privately in his office and he was patient in explaining what I needed to do to care for my condition. He appears to have a warm and caring approach. The only thing I can say is that the wait time is a bit long and perhaps generic medications should be prescribed first for affordability as everyone may not be able to afford certain name brand medications prescribed unless it is absolutely necessary.
Showed up early for my mid afternoon appointment to a packed waiting area. I was allowed to sit in the adjacent conference room with the pharma reps. Waited 30 min before someone checked on me again, waited another 15-30 min before being seen. (mind you my car that is parked around the corner is now running over, but o well.) Saw the doc for 7 min who seemed nice, he instantly recognized my condition which matched my previous diagnoses elsewhere. Then he excused himself to see some other patients.... I waited another 30 min till he returned to take a sample. Then he left again! By now i had to quickly use the restroom, so i ran out to the lobby of the building with the office key (like in 3rd grade) and was back within 10 min.Dr. Graves saw me within 10 min after i returned and mentioned my (bathroom break) as rudely leaving to go tend to my metered car .(Internally fuming, i let it go). We concluded shortly thereafter with my prescription and my 20min of total care took approx 3 hrs. I walked back to my ticketed car livid. This guy runs a very commercialized dermatological assembly line and although he seems like a nice guy has only $ and not actually treating and curing patients as his #1 priority. I'm a capitalist and this makes me sick. DO NOT GO HERE!
This doctor is very good. I admit I was nervous, because it is embarrassing talking to a male about what I consider female issues. He was very comforting, and very knowledgeable about skin disorders. This was my first visit and everyone was very professional. Yes it is a long wait but I was alright with it. I think of it like when you are good and have a good team. Everyone want good service. It's only one doctor and he takes his time explaining everything. Everywhere I turned his staff spoke, no attitudes or rude behaviors. Keep up the Good work and see you next month.
I thought his staff was very good and I thought they used modern technology, I was impressed.
Very thorough - I understand what the issues are and what needs to be done.
My visit to Dr. Graves office was completely fine. The receptionists were friendly and so was the assistant who saw me before Dr. Graves came in. I was very nervous and they took the tome to answer all of my questions. Everything went very smoothly. I will be going back!
Very thorough. Takes time to explain things. Office staff is nice. Needed to pre-send forms though because they take a long tie to complete.
The visit was acceptable. Staff efficient, and friendly. Paper work long, but alright. There is a wait, but he is thorough, and does a good job of explaining and screening.
I found Dr. Graves knowledgeable and exacting. He explained medications and cleared up some questions. I recommend him highly.
Dr. Graves is always kind, professional and apparently very popular. The downside is that you'll have to wait more than an hour before he can see you....... only for 5 minutes. Then at least another 20min for any in-house treatment you may need. So today I was scheduled for a 2 pm visit and ended up spending there more than 2 hours!
Very professional, yet down to earth. Great office atmosphere!
My visit was pleasant, informative with no wait time.
This time I actually didn't wait super long (although I did wait in the waiting room, then wait in the room for him, then he moved me to another room and I waited some more). Last time I waited for almost 2 hours before being seen and he acted like that was normal. Nice guy, but seems to overprescribe medications and specify non-generic medications so I do wonder about his priorities and ties to pharmaceutical companies when I come away with huge pharmacy copays every time.
With the exception of the very polite and attentive front desk ladies and "triage" nurse, my experience was one of the worst I have had in a medical office. I made the appt on Zoc Doc for 2pm and arrived 10 minutes early. I filled the paperwork out online ahead of time and was quickly signed in and seated in the waiting room. I waited about 20-25 minutes and asked about how much longer before I was seen. I was told they didn't know and that they had 2 people ahead of me. I expressed concern because it was the middle of the work day and I needed to get back to the office; the appointment was made for 2pm. The office manager came out and while she was polite in her words, but clearly frustrated with the situation. She was on the defensive and told me my appointment was for 2:15; I had to pull up the text confirmations to show her it was for 2pm. She then tried to tell me I was late, to which I explained I was 10 min early. She went on to say they had to do the paperwork; I replied I filled it out online ahead of time. She said they could not enter it on their end until I arrived and that it takes time because I was a new patient (why they don't explain that ahead of time is beyond me). I said I would wait another couple of minutes (I really needed to see a dermatologist) or I was going to have to leave. They got me in with the nurse right away, who was very helpful and polite. She took my info, and gave me a gown to change into. I waited 10 minutes or so for the doctor, during which I could hear his entire conversation with the patient next door (talk about privacy). He came in without knocking, wearing street clothes (weird). I explained my issues and he addressed the 2 specific complaints with detail, but when I asked for an annual check-up he BARELY looked at me. Didn't even lift my hair to check my shoulders! I am blown away that he has a license to practice and that this office is in business. Just before leaving for my appt, a coworker told me her horror story of going to this doctor and I so wish I had that information with enough time to cancel. Now I have to make sure my insurance will let me see another doctor this year because I cannot trust that check up. AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS.
The visit was fine, the wait time was too long !
He is very professional and listens to my concerns. Staff are very nice. I will recommend to my friends.
I was pleased with my visit and the skin treatment that he provided. I have already recommended this doctor to my friends.
I had a 2:30 appointment. It was an entire hour before I was called back to the room. The PA was great and saw me immediately. However, it was an additional 45 minutes waiting in that room before the doctor came in. He saw me for approx. 5 minutes, left, came back 20 minutes later for another 5 minutes. My visit took 2 hours, and I only saw the doctor for 10 minutes. I have never waited this long for a medical appointment. Very unfortunate.
Great personality, answered any concerns in regards to my sons acne.
Dr. Graves and his staff was top notch. We really enjoyed speaking with him and found the visit both informative and helpful. My husband admires Dr. Graves and what he stands for: a man of integrity who truly goes above and beyond for the care of his patients. Thank you Dr. Graves. this treatment and where I am heading is beyond words...long overdue! Thanks and will be back for the follow up.
Absolutely wonderful. Very happy I researched the doctor,s practice and made an appt. Very professional staff and doctor was engaging. The. Office was cllean and inviting. Well done. Dr. Graves
Dr. Graves and his staff were wonderful. I highly recommend his services.
I have to go back because they refuse to release my biopsy results. But once I have them I will never go back.
The wait time was abysmal. I waited for about an hour and a half in the waiting room, and for another 30 minutes in the exam room. Despite this, once I was seen the visit was great. Everyone I dealt with was pleasant and professional.
I loved it and he was very nice as well as his staff..
It was great and quick
Service from the Dr.Graves was great but the waiting was awful I aarrived15 minutes before my appointment and still sat for over an hour
To long of a visit ....I did like that he talk to you explained your medication.
I loved the doctor and his staff, but the wait time was unbelievable. I was there for two full hours before I was seen.
Eventhough my wait time was over a hour, Dr. Graves immediately knew what the issue was and what to prescribe. He also met with me for about 10 minutes to further explain and answers any concerns that I had. However, I'm truly disappointed that the medicine he prescribe with a coupon and my insurance cost 900 dollars and the script was for name brand only. Now I have to contact the office for a generic scrip per the pharmacy.
My biggest complaint was the wait time. When parking in the city you are generally parked at a meter so 'time management' is important. Because I was on the 'meter' clock I didn't get a chance to address all my concerns or questions. In addition, because I was in a rush I may have not allowed him to give me the full experience. Plus, I had another appointment to get too. Now I know when going to his office I can't have anything else scheduled for afterwards and I have to park close by so I can feed the meter. Hopefully it's all worth it in the end. Time will tell.
Dr. Graves and his staff are amazing; the fact that you have to wait over an hour for a 6 pm appointment in a waiting room that is so full that you have to sit in the employee conference room is really ridiculous. He is a great doctor and I would recommend that if that is what the wait time is really always that long (which clearly it is from the reviews) -- he should really offer free WIFI to his patients - small fee for a huge inconvenience for his dedicated patients (the cell service is terrible, you cannot even read your emails while you are waiting for an hour plus).
I liked how they took a before pic of my face. Can't wait to see the results down the line.
Outstanding performance very professional
the Doctor is great but the wait time is long.
I think everything went well staff was very professional
I love Dr Graves, the wait time in the office between arrival being seen and giving prescriptions is often times too long thats my only complaint
Would not recommend
he was very quick but good. I came out with 5 diff medication .they took a photo of my face .would def recommend.
The people in the office are very friendly and professional. Unfortunately, every time I go there, I end up waiting at least 1 hour if not more.
It was a wonderful experience. I can not wait until my follow-up appointment. I will be a life ling patient (or at least until my medical condition is corrected).
He took one look at my problem and knew exactly what to prescribe. I'm satisfied and am excited to start the treatment, and is confident that it should work.
I was very impressed with the professionalism of his staff. They seemed to be very knowledgable and efficient in running the office. His staff was equipped with some of the most modern technology that made the entire visit a breeze. They were also very friendly and everyone that I made eye contact with greated me with a smile and or a hello.
Let's just say, Im glad I wasn't influenced by some of the reviews I've read. Dr. Graves is whom I've been looking for. He knew exactly what was causing my condition and treated it as such. His staff is wonderful. I'm very satisfied and will definitely refer friends and family. Thank you Dr. Graves. (Dionne)
The wait time was too long. However he solved the issue I was having. All said, they must try to find someway to reduce the long wait time to see the doctor.
He is very friendly and has good bedside manner, but he did not spend more than 10 minutes with me in total, from diagnosis to discharge. He sat down with me and answered my questions, but I felt that if I didn't bring up my concerns, he would not have thought to address anything further than he did.
I have seen a specialist for the same issue for ten years and nothing was resolved except simply treating the symptoms. Dr. Graves prescripted medications for the symptoms and ordered a blood test on my first visit which to me is a step towards a diagnosis.
Need another visit.
Other than the long waiting time, my appointment went well. Dr. Graves is very friendly and actually listened to my concerns.
I thought I made a good choice in seeking out an African American Dermatologist. Today, there are a couple of things I'm not clear on: What is the name of the condition that I have and how does this develop? Also, is it a skin issue or a pigmentation issue? In similar cases, how long before the skin comes back to normal?
Very nice bedside manner, nice staff, easy appointment.
You wait a long time to see Dr. Graves, after an hour I left and rescheduled for the following day. Once you're in, he's fantastic! Very knowledgeable, patient, and caring. Don't go if you're in a hurry, but I'd recommend him.
Besides the very long wait..my appointment was for 2pm I was finally seen between 4:40-5:15pm..The environment was clean the staff was friendly the atmosphere was welcoming..maybe the bad timing could of been just one of those new patient waits..but overall I was still satisfied..And would highly recommend anyone to their office..goodluck.
the young lady at the front desk was rude and never made eye contact. the wait time was well over an hour. Dr Graves was professional and quick and so was his triage nurse. overall not bad; but please remember, who patients deal with upon entry determines how they view the office.
I think that I came on a bad day. Professionalism of the front desk was poor, however, the Dr. Graves was extremely pleasant. I felt he was a bit overworked and could not give me the attention I wanted, but I am hoping I will have a more positive experience during my second visit.
Provider was present and engaging at all times. Staff was super polite and kept me in the loop regarding every step of my visit.
I was told that it was not common to be seen at my scheduled appointment, by this time I had been waiting 40 minutes (I got to the office twenty minutes early because I am respectful of the doctors time ) and after waiting 20 minutes past my appointment time it is upsetting to me to not have my time respected.
It was helpful.
I was impressed by the service I received at Dr. Graves office. Even though It took some time to be seen I was told this right up front and given the option to see the NP. She was so gracious and thorough. She even took the time to check on my insurance coverage before doing a quick procedure on me. It can't get more convenient as far as location, it's in my building. I want to say thanks and I'll be back. JB
The actual time I spent with the doctor was great, but the wait was absurd.
The wait time was inexcusable..... I htink it was about an hour and half, for a 10 min visit
Dr. Graves is excellent, the staff friendly, the office seems very paper intensive. Was called to the front desk to set up a follow up appointment. That's great but after the long wait, a little bit of context would help. Restrooms in the office building are disgusting. Given a hall pass to use the restroom, that's a bit over the top and can be done with a little more tact.
This was my first visit. I will see him again for a procedure. I would like to rate him then.
while i understand that things get backed up, having to spend more than 2 hours for an appointment when you are actually being seen for a total of less than 10 minutes is not very efficient. dr graves was very pleasant, as was his staff - but i have a schedule and a job as well. also, as i has completed questions via zocdoc.com online, not sure why i had to go through them all again in the office.
Very nice Dr. I would recommend him.
I felt like I went to the Right place. :-)
Wait time was long.
Both Dr. Graves and his associate are able to provide answers and solutions to a number of dermatological issues. They are both very easy to talk to. The office offers an array of skin care products and solutions.
I absolutely wish the office would tighten up ship regarding the ridiculous wait time. I am so serious when I tell you to expect to wait at least 45-60 mins i the waiting room, and then another 20 or so in the patient room. This happened multiple times that I've been here. Dr. Graves is GREAT, but, unfortunately due to the ridiculous and uncalled for waiting times, I will not be returning and I'll be sure to tell everyone I know to beware. Oh, they also called in the wrong chemical prescribed to Rite Aid. They called in a BP wash instead of my normal sulfur wash. I have no idea why they would do that being as though this wasn't new medication. When Rite Aid and I called the office numerous times, the office manager was so rude that I had to go to the office to talk to her in person. She kept saying she doesn't know what the problem was. How about both I and the pharmacist kept telling her it was the wrong medicine. It got fixed, but not 100%. The new sulfur wash she called in was a different strength than what Dr. Graves prescribed to me from day 1. Just poor office management all around. Great Dr., not so great staff. And that's putting it nicely.
A very inviting knowledgeable doctor who really makes you feel comfortable. It was my first visit there, and I will definitely be back.
I was very impressed with my visit. All the staff members were very professional I would reccomend everyone I know.
Besides the long wait, excellent visit
Upon my first visit, I say Dr. Graves. My subsequent visits has been with the PA, and the services have been very acceptable.
From the time I came in, to the time I was seen, I waited an hour and 20 minutes. I then felt a bit rushed, and thus forgot to mention an area of concern. By the time I remembered it, I had already been there 2 hours, and had gone through the process of having 2 moles removed for biopsy and couldn't prolong my appointment any longer since I had to get back to work.
He was very thorough and personable. My husband and I have found a great dermatologist!
Dr. Graves was a wonderful doctor. However, with a wait time of 3 hours I will never return.
I am happy that I made my appointment with Dr.Graves. He was professional, and knowledgeable with my acne problem. I will truly recommend him to many of my friends and family member's who are having probelms with acne.
I am a new patient and the receptionist that confirmed my appointment did not see that;therefore, I was seen by Dr.Graves Associate . Dr.Mobly was "Excellent" and very knowledgable in dermatology. I left a famous dermatologist(S.T.) that I've been seeing for over 15 years to visit Dr.Graves. I'm glad I made the switch.
He is a great doctor, he specializes in skin care forvall races BUT especially well versed in treating peopke of color. The wait time is RIDICULOUS!. Unacceptable, no regard for your time at all. Takes an hr before you get thrown in a rm to wait another 15-20 mins. You only sed him for about ten mins tops.
Had to wait 2 hours to see him! Other than that, he was fine.
He was very professional as well as very well versed in the area of skin, hair and nails. His consultation and diagnosis was very accurate and he gets 5 stars in my book! The only thing I did not like was the long wait period which wasn't too bad but it wasn't too good either.
Overall, my first visit went well. Dr. Graves is amiable, knowledgeable and professional. I especially enjoyed my consultation with his assistant. She listened attentively, and had a warm personality that made me feel like I chose the right dermatologist. The staff at the front desk were not as friendly nor welcoming, but it was not an indication of the tone of my actual appointment. The wait time is long. I was waiting almost 45 mins before seeing a doctor. There should be a note on zoc doc when you book an appointment that tells the patient that the doctor only accepts cash!!! I had to leave out to go to the nearest ATM which was several blocks away. Also, parking is expensive ( over $20 for 2 hours) I would definitely take the train the next time I schedule an appointment.
Overall it was good.
Excellent doctor and office staff!!
Once seeing the doctor, everything went well, but I never waited for a doctor for such a long period of time. If I wasn't so broken out the way I am I would have left.
My visit with Dr. Graves was quick and very awesome. Great service.
Really liked the staff and doctors, and the proposed treatment plan, but never appreciate a long wait time, especially when there is no forgiveness (a charge of $25) if canceling less than 24 hours before appointment. Sadly, this has become normal practice everywhere. There time appears to be more valuable than ours.
Dr. Graves as well as his staff were very professional. The office is very clean and the waiting time was at a minimum. If you need a carong and prifesdional doctor make an appointment to see Dr Graves.
Dr. Graves was great! Very nice and informative. I will definitely go back.
Extremely knowledgeable about her field of expertse. Also, I used ZocSoc at 3:00am, when its usually impossible to make an appt. When 9:00am came around, the office even called me flask if I'd wanted to come in earlier. HOW ABOUT THAT for service! Thank you!
The vist with Dr. Vaughan Graves was great. He was very informative and asked a lot of questions.
I was very pleased with my visit with Dr. Vaughan Graves. He was professional and competant. However, I felt he was over booked and I had to wait about an hour before he could see me.
Excellent doctor! Pretty busy, so be prepared to wait.
My husband raved about this Dermatologist, so I figured I give it a try. Not sure of the specifics of his first visit there but my experience was quite different. In my opinion, the practice is a typical medical office that books more patients than one Provider can actually see. The wait time from check-in until being roomed was about 30 minutes. Most of my time, about 80% of my 1.45 hrs there was spent waiting for the providers, between the nurse and MD. Felt like, I waited all that time simply to have Rx Scripts written for me. Also, I thought the atmosphere of the environment was pretty casual. Not the most friendliest place though. They certainly did not make me feel like patient and the visit experience was important to them.
I think my visit was good, it's a good in Enviroment, great location, and good service...
The doctor was very helpful and gave all the necessary information for the appointment.
i like hes actitud
Dr Graves is a great dermatologist! He is very caring and the skin regimen that he designed for me is working fantastic! I have already recommended him to my friends and family
I thought he was knowledgeable and answered allmy questions. He even suggested some new treatments for my skin since the summertime makes my skin issues flair up.
Very friendly and right to the point. I believe that he was knowledgable
The wait time was horrible, and it seemed to me that he was trying to schedule needless follow-up appointments in order to get more fees. I was not impressed with this office.
I scheduled my appointment for 4pm online. I was then contacted to by his office that I would need to schedule it to 3:45 pm because the doc was leaving at 4. I arrived at 3:15 and proceeded to wait until 5pm until I was called back. I wouldbhave left before then if they didntnhave my co-pay. I'm not sure why they rescheduled my appointment because I didn't leave there until 5:45. After i was finally seen by the doctor he wasnt sure if he visited my room or not. He stood about 3 feet away and decided to diagnose me. Once I returned home I checked my receipt only to find I had another patients receipt (with personal info and diagnoses - HIPPA???). Too many negatives to return. I'll pass.
I was pleased with the services I received. Dr. Graves was personable and professional. The nurse practitioner was cordial and engaging. The receptionist greeted me with a smile. The nursing aides were busy. I was referred to Dr. Graves by one of his patients, I should have gone there sooner.
Dr. Graves is great at his profession
Although he was very knowledgeable and courteous, I was very displeased with the amount of time that I had to wait.
He was very friendly and professional and took care of my problem promptly.
The doctor is wonderful and the staff was ok for me. However the wait was a little longer than I expected. Overall I do plan to return.
The Physician's Assistant was rude. Dr. Graves was friendly and nice, but he didn't even put on gloves before examining me. Who knows how many patients his hands have touched before coming to me. The office takes co-pay only in cash, which is a huge inconvenience.
The doctor was amazing but the 2 1/2 hour wait in the middle of the day was too much.
Dr. Graves was very understanding and professional.
He was very friendly and reasonable. He immediately addressed my concerns.
I waited almost two hours just to see Dr. Graves for not even 5 minutes. (I waited 1 1/2 hours the first time I've been there) I told the nurse that the medication I was given wasn't working, but nothing was done about it. He didn't ask me himself how it was working, or even ask me anything at all. Then, I once I was practically pushed out the door, I was 10 minutes for a receipt from him that never came. Overall, they are not personable at all, not worth the $35 copay. Not worth your time.
didn't take care of the problem over a 6 month period. went to another dermatologist who took care of it within 1 month.
It was a great experience. The staff was nice and I did not take a long time before I was seen.
My experience going to Dr. Vaughan Graves-MD was one of best experiences that I have had in all of my 66years of going to any Dr. Thanks again. I will return and recommend Dr. V. Graves and also ZocDoc for scheduling.
Dr. Graves was very nice but the wait was ridiculous! It took 45 minutes before I was called into the examining room and another 30 minutes before the exam started. I was there for a skin scan and I had to suggest that I take off my shirt for the examination! When the Dr. arrived, he asked if there were any other areas I was concerned about. I wasn't impressed by his approach.
It was absolutely wonderful!! The staff was very friendly and helpful! HIS m.a.'s were fantastic! I loved meeting with him!
Great experience. Intellectual, and informative.Glad I found him, I have seen results in just two days.
My visit went very well with Dr. Graves, he is very nice and he listens to his patients. The only thing I do not like is the length of time waiting. P.S. His staff is very knowledgeable and friendly!
it's great ..but i waited for so long
fantastic doctor. would recommend to anyone!
Aside from Dr. Graves running 30 minutes late, everything was great. He and the staff were all so kind and welcoming. I would definitely go back and recommend him to anyone.
it went really well.
