He was nice and asked a lot of questions before making some suggestions.
Great doctor. Book an appointment.
Dr. V was very professional and kind. I will certainly be going back to him in the future.
Although my initial visit was not a very long one, Dr. Rudoy did manage to touch upon many pertinent issues. I am looking forward to my follow-up visit.
I thought that Dr. Rudoy asked some sensitive questions in a not-so-sensitive manner. He was friendly, though, and efficient.
Wonderful, great Dr.
I don't know what I'd do without Dr. Rudoy's excellent service. I miss the two wonderful receptionists his office used to have until last year [who have since been replaced with a couple of kids that don't seem to know what it means to be professionals yet], but that's not enough to deter me from seeing Dr. Rudoy. Highly recommended.
He was understanding, asked about my medical history, and helped me refill a prescription that had lapsed.
Great Psychiatrist. Listens and tries his best to get you what you need.
I felt pretty rushed during my appointment and he didn't ask very many questions to understand everything.
Saw me right away and asked good questions and listened to my concerns.
I am throughly unimpressed with Dr. Rudoy. During my initial visit with him as a new patient, he spent only 15 minutes interviewing before writing a script and sending me on my way to return for a follow-up in a month. Upon my second visit, he spent 2 minutes with me and sent me away with a 2-month script and says that he will require me to have appointments every 3 months after that. This is essentially medical extortion. He shows little to no interest in my well-being as a patient and appears to view me as a regular, easy check to cash in.
He's quick and to the point.
He is a good doctor, and the wait time was reasonable. But the two front desk staff seemed a bit too chatty (with each other), and I was ignored as I entered the office and as I was leaving because they were so into their conversation. I personally prefer an office environment that is a tad more professional and discreet. Maybe some professional development opportunities would help those girls grow as customer service professionals.
Barely no wait time. The receptionist was very kind. When the doctor called me in, he listened very well, and was very kind. After I explained my story and how I have severe panick attacks, he gave me the right medication. I would reccomend him to anyone who is looking for the best psychiatrist. A+++++
Excellent doctor. Highly efficient.
If you want a (crappy) drug dealer, this is your guy.
Friendly staff and great doctor. Will be my regular psychiatrist going forward.
Dr. Rudoy was very kind, concise and provided all the information I needed for medication management. Super short wait too! Don't think I waited for more than 5min.
He is very smart, thorough, and caring.
He will see you for 3 minutes.
I've been going to Dr. Rudoy for several years now, not only because I find him to be an excellent clinician but also because his receptionists have consistently been warm, efficient and caring. Unfortunately, he has a new receptionist who is making me consider looking for another doctor. I can handle either incompetence or rudeness within reason, but she presented very strong evidence for both. I tried to hand her my copay upon checking in (as I have always done), and she refuses it and tells me abruptly to "just sit" because she says I don't know my copay and she needs to check my file to find out how much it is. So, thinking that my copay had changed, I go to the waiting room and sit like I was told. Literally 10 seconds later, she calls my name and rudely states, "Can I have the copay now?" as she sighs and gives me a dirty stare. "How much is it," I asked. Without saying a word, she continues to give me the dirty stare. Hmmm... What did I do to deserve that look... Oh, yeah, I was right about my copay and she was wrong! Dr. Rudoy is a wonderful doctor, and I am sorry to see that this mean and incompetent woman somehow ended up in his office... Oh, by the way, I now know far too much about another patient, including her sensitive personal info, because this receptionist was on speakerphone with the Empire Plan, checking the patient's coverage status...in her "outside voice," for some reason, right by the waiting room.
This was my first ever visit to a psychiatrist. I recently have moved to NYC and have been without my therapist for two months. I have always been hesitant about medicinal aids to mental health but felt comfortable on approaching the subject on my my visit with Dr Rudoy. He gave me good advice, a referral, and immediate follow appointment. The office staff was fast and friendly also.
I've been a patient of Dr. Rudoy and I strongly disagree with the reviews calling him a pill-pusher. More than once, he has pointed out discrepancies in my filling dates and--thank god he caught it--a possible case of identity theft that my insurance had not alerted me to despite several phone calls I made asking for alerts on my account. He's def a great and easy doctor but make no mistake: he will be checking to make sure you--or someone getting scooped in the same I-Stop ID--isn't doctor shopping.
Very happy with my visit today. Dr. Rudoy was very kind and considerate through his questioning and when explaining my personal situation his facial expressions alone were of genuine concern. I originally thought I would be seeing him for therapy sessions but he gave me the prescription that has always worked well for me in the last after careful questioning and recommended a great therapist in his same office. I would highly recommend him.
I felt very comfortable!
Dr. Rudoy is a great doctor!
If you just need RX management, this is the place to come. Quick visit, nice staff. Doctor doesn't do a lot of questions, which can be good if you know what you need. I can't speak to his diagnostic and medication recommendations. But like I said, RX management, come here.
I have been a patient of Dr. Rudoy for over one year but was summarily dismissed today for allowing my prescriptions to lapse on multiple occasions. Since you've never spent more than three minutes with me Doctor, I had no idea you even cared. Oh that's right- you don't.
Always good with Dr. Rudoy, straight to the point and got what I needed from a Dr.
Very friendly staff. Wait was very minimal. Dr. Rudoy was very nice and knows what he is doing.
Very efficient and precise. Excellent doc to have here in Brooklyn.
First visit to the office and filled out the paperwork ahead of time. I was seen By Dr. Vsevolod within 5 minutes which was a pleasant surprise. He is easy to talk to and did not make me feel uncomfortable. I will be returning for a followup. The office is very well maintained and staff was very pleasant and quick. Also saw other reviews that it was cash only for co pay, but don't think that is the case anymore as they seem to accept various payment options. Overall have zero negative reviews and would not be hesitant to visit this doctor again.
If you're looking for medication this is your guy. He isn't interested in talking to you for a long time. I would say the average time you're actually with him is less than 5 minutes.
Dr. Rudoy is not very personable, which is generally fine. I'm going to visit a doctor, not make a friend. But during my last visit he was rude and combative.
If you have a therapist and have been diagnosed, this is a good doctor for just medication. I sat with him for my initial and follow up 10-15 minutes each time. I am skeptical and have decided to go elsewhere, but if you want a pill factory for a doctor, this is it.
Great if your only agenda is getting a prescription.
if you are looking for short and sweet Rx refills, this is the place
It was a great experience visiting Dr. Rudoy, he is extremely attentive and nice. The office is conveniently located, easily accessible, the staff are very friendly and helpfull. 10/10
He was quick and efficient as usual.
Very professional, great advice, and to the point. Would highly recommend.
Receptionist was very kind and professional. No complaints there. Dr. Rudoy on the other hand rushed me though questions and seemingly paid little attention to my answers. My session with him felt very impersonal. It is a difficult process recapping your entire mental health history and Rudoy did not foster a welcoming environment. Will not visit again.
No interest in why you were seeking psychiatric help. If you want a pill-pusher, this is your guy, but if you want someone to talk to go somewhere else.
Straight to the point but covers all his bases and obviously cares. Great guy and great doctor :)
Quick and to the point.
Always a pleasure
Dr. Rudoy is fantastic. He's very no-nonsense and quickly gets to the heart of the matter. I have yet to have any sort of significant wait to see him. Highly recommended.
Helpful man. Quick and easy process
Very pragmatic and not the warm empathetic type.
Pretty nice guy. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Doesn't just tell you what's good for you, but takes into consideration what treatment method you're most welcome to. Plus, I love his accent.
He is rude and inpatient. Literally called me stupid because I did not have time to come in for a few months...
Right to the point! Easy and fast appointment, which is greatly appreciated.
He was nice and efficient, receptionist is not the nicest though I was prepared for that after reading reviews.
Professional staff, nice office, great experience!
I get the help I need with Dr Rudoy. Very smooth, efficient, and understanding. Staff is top notch.
Very professional, very pragmatic. He will address your issue(s) the way they deserve to be, and won't dance around the subject matter. Friendly guy and recently they moved to a new office. Would definitely recommend. Just don't take my appointment times :)
He listened to what I had to say and I got what I needed and was out quickly and could get on with my day.
He is a quality clinician and knows what he is doing; he is a psychiatrist, not a therapist--don't get them confused. He cares about prescribing you with the correct medication, and not hearing about your mommy issues. Lightning fast and efficient, which is exactly what some of us need. PS: receptionists are great.
Very professional and knowledgeable! I have been looking for the right psychiatrist and I have found him!
He's more prescription-oriented than patient-oriented.
Quick and easy.
Very quick wrote prescription that other docs wouldnt
Dr. Rudoy barely had any interest in hearing you talk or describe your problems. He wants you in and out immediate. Would not recommend to anyone seeking bedside manner. There is a language barrier that makes communication difficult. Also, his staff is very young and inexperienced. Be warned.
I have no problems with this doctor, however the woman receptionist is rude and unprofessional. I had the first 9am appointment and when I got there a couple minutes early the office was still closed. I waited until 9:17 but had to leave for work. I left a message stating I wasn't happy and would show up on my lunch break. The receptionist then tried to argue with me about the exact time I waited until and kept saying she arrived at 9:08. As a front desk receptionist myself this is the most ridiculous thing I've ever dealt with. To start, she should be getting there with plenty of time before the first appointment and on top of that it should not matter what time I waited till, she was late and wrong. Her apology was not worth her breath of air when she mumbled it right before I saw the doctor.
Highly recommend. Hes not there to hold your hand but he is efficient and listens to your concerns. His front desk staff are excellent too.
Dr.Rudoy is a no-nonsense kind of guy. He didn't seem to want to chat about the reason why I was there. Perhaps I used just enough strong adjectives to describe my ailment to write me a fast script but I would have preferred a little more dialogue.
Great and caring doctor!
My visit with Dr. Rudoy was very helpful. He's an excellent psychiatrist, his staff is pleasant and attentive. I look forward to following up with him in two weeks and continuing treatment. I would highly recommend him.
Dr. Rudoy works with you to find the right medications. He always keeps you informed about the pros and cons of medications. I have never waited more then 5 minutes in his office.
Fine as usual
I like Dr. Rudoy. He's direct and has a no nonsense style. That said, he's happy to answer questions. My appointment was short and to the point, but I did not feel brushed off in any way.
Absolutely the worst psychiatrist in the industry. Sessions take less than two minutes. If you have concerns or questions, they go unanswered and will be rushed out of the door. The office does not return phone calls, even if you are out of your prescription. This "doctor" is only interested in filling a prescription and billing. Saw him for several months and finally gave up.
Both reception and Dr. Rudoy created a friendly, comfortable environment. I would definitely recommend him.
I had a very pleasant visit, quickly assisted and I would recommend the office and Doctor.
He was very professional, to the point, and seemed to genuinely care about the patient and his/her needs.
Was seen in a timely fashion. The front desk people were very polite friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend Dr. Rudoy to anyone.
I went right in- very professional and accessible - grateful for the appointment and grateful to find help.
Excellent. He was very thoughtful and sincere.
Very professional and helpful, the waiting room staff were friendly and efficient.
Great Doctor, He Explained Everything So Well That I Didn't Have Any Questions When We Were Done!
Dr. Rudoy is always very helpful.
This doctor never did an intake assessment with me and all follow-up medication management appointments were no more than 5 minutes. I stopped seeing this doctor because I don't trust someone prescribing me psychotropic medication who has never actually assessed my condition.
Good for scripts... like an in and out clinic for pills. Amazing ( in a bad way) and not for those looking for real help
My only complaint is that Dr. Rudoy is always late. His office opens before 9am in time for his first appointment of the day - 9am. However, Dr. Rudoy consistently walks in 20 to 30 minutes late. The front desk workers are unable to provide an estimate on when he will arrive. Upon arriving late, there is no acknowledgement of his lateness or the inconvenveience he has brought upon the growing number of patients in the waiting room. He can get you in and out, but don't plan anything within 2 hrs of your appointment.
Always a pleasure. Prompt, kind, and caring.
Always takes care of me quickly. Front desk is kind and courteous. Can't complain.
Straight to the point. Great Doctor
Very professional, no nonsense approach. He asks the right questions and gets to the heart of the matter and develops an approach accordingly.
I felt rushed every time I stepped in there. He writes you a script, that's all. But he still wants to see you every month, so he can bill the insurance. I think he should write scripts for longer period if what he does is just renewing a prescription. Very rude, too.
Dr. Rudoy is thoughtful, considerate, to the point, and very helpful. I recommend him unequivocally.
Great psychiatrist; who listened to me, my concerns and took into account recommendations from my therapist and prescribed a regimen that, along with continued talk therapy, will hopefully have me back to my best self in no time!
He is definitely to the point. No wishy washy questions. Will go back.
If you want a straight to the point psychiatry session and prescriptions filled lightning fast, this is your guy.
Dr. Rudoy and his office staff were efficient and professional. The only reason why I had to wait about 10 minutes to be seen was that there were some issues with my insurance. Otherwise, he could have seen me immediately at my appointment time. I appreciated that he was quick with his evaluation and did not waste any time. He was a bit brusque, but I don't mind that - I was only seeing him to refill medication and didn't really need or want a full conversation. If it is your first time seeing a psychiatrist, don't be taken aback; if you prefer someone more friendly and touchy-feely, he isn't your guy. I liked him and will be back for sure!
very rigid and unfriendly.
I'd never normally take the time to write a review - but every single other doctor I've seen through this site has been a nightmare - mainly because of the long wait times, offices located in the middle of nowhere, and staff that are unbelievably rude. This place is great; you're in an out in half an hour. They are organized, polite, and efficient. Perfect if you know what you need and just want to avoid the hassle.
Pretty much an in and out thing with no consultation. Just a handoff of meds and money.
Concise and to the point , called me back personally when needed .
If all you're looking for is a med refill, then this is the doctor for you. My appts with him last MAYBE five minutes. I talk more to the receptionist than the doctor. Not bad, just not great either.
Great doctor! Very professional & straight to the point. He truly listened to me.
To the point, Professional..... Cant ask for more...
great doctor, i highly recommend him.
I immediately liked Dr Rudoy. He was professional & personable. It is important to me that I feel I can speak to a dr. freely and being comfortable doing so.
I have always enjoyed my sessions with Dr. Rudoy. I also have to give 5 stars to the receptionists there -- they are truly fantastic.
Great Doctor, Great staff!
Nice guy, straight to the point, helped me, all you need basically.
The interaction could not have been better.
he's a very kind and professional doctor. i've been a patient for over a year. highly recommend A+++
Always a pleasure to be helped by such friendly staff!
Great doctor and great staff!
Quick and easy. Listens to what you have to say but do not go in expecting to speak with Dr. Rudoy for more than 10 minutes. He gets straight to the point.
Like many other reviewers have mentioned, you need to know the difference between a psychiatrist and a therapist. Dr. Rudoy is a psychiatrist. He is good at what he does. More than anything though, I am impressed by his secretary/receptionist (I forget her name). I had some issues filling the prescription that Dr. Rudoy prescribed to me and she went ahead and contacted both my insurance and pharmacy and got it straightened out within an hour when both were giving me the run-around for over a day. Yes, she might not seem very warm, but she gets it done, and at the end of the day, that's what I'm looking for. For these reasons, I would recommend Dr. Rudoy's office.
I love this guy. He's quick and to the point, but never cold. He does what he can to solve your problem taking your lifestyle into consideration. His assistant is a beauty but she is the boss and she knows her stuff. Be good to her and she'll be good to you.
Everyone was very polite. They pronounced my name rite for once
Dr. Rudoy is great.
Has helped me heal so much and maintain a good and healthy well-being.
brief and dismissive sessions, he gave me whatever meds I wanted, but offered little insight to things I was unaware of.
Always kind, straight to the point and I never have to wait for my appointment.
I thought he was great. His staff was friendly and attractive too.
Thorough, business-like but not in a cold way.
Dr. Rudoy was warm and welcoming as always. Never feel rushed with him and he shows genuine concern for your problems.
The receptionist is just about the nicest and most helpful person you'd ever meet, and Dr. Rudoy is efficient, competent, and caring. I am not sure what some people here are expecting (complaining that he focuses on prescribing meds...duh!!!) because he is a psychiatrist and he is exactly what a psychiatrist should be like, at least in the U.S.--provide medical care in a professional and supportive manner without being overly warm and fuzzy. If you want your self-esteem stroked or if you want somebody to give you a pep talk, you should go to a life coach or a counselor!
He's good if you are in need of a prescription medication for a condition but he's not overly warm and friendly. Don't expect him to provide you with any kind of therapy or advice with anything but medication. Also, his office requires cash co-payments so if you rely on an FSA card you won't be able to use it here.
He prescribed me medications based on only a few questions he had and without a diagnosis. Maybe I am jumping the gun. He is after all a medical professional.
it was a good experience. very straightforward dr.
Very pleasant, competent doctor.
Very quick, didn't have to wait long to be seen. Dr. Rudoy was very pleasant.
It's obvious that all Dr. Rudoy wants to do is make money off of pushing prescriptions to people. After telling him that I would rather not be put on medication, I was pushed out of his office.
I have been seeing Dr. Rudoy for a couple of months. He is very professional and gets right to the point. Visits usually last around 10 minutes with almost no wait time to see him.
Dr. Rudoy is a fantastic choice if you have an idea of what medications you need..
His receptionist is very personable and efficient, and Dr. Rudoy, too, does a good job. I think some people here are confused about the roles assumed by various mental health professionals today--psychiatrists versus psychologists, counselors, social workers, etc. If one is looking for talk therapy, CBT, behavioral modification, etc., go to psychologists, counselors, MSWs or other professionals who specialize in those! Dr. Rudoy is, indeed, a good PSYCHIATRIST. You aren't going to get meaningful talk therapy out of 15-minute appointments with ANY psychiatrists.
Dr. Rudoy is the best! He and his staff are very accommodating, he gives great medical advice, and he is always willing to take his time with you. If you want to have a long discussion about medicines, treatments, and life he lets you talk and never rushes you or if you are in need of a quick appointment because it is a follow up he is great with that too. Excellent doctor!
He was very helpful, I will defiantly recommend him to any of my family and friends.
Doesn't refill basic prescriptions without having to schedule another visit. Who has the time to visit a doctor 12 times a year?
Like the others have been saying, you are in and out of your appointment in less than 5 minutes. Then you are left with a large bill for having him scribble you a prescription and send you out the door. This man is good for writing prescriptions, but does not give any indication that cares deeply for the well-being of his patients, treating them as nothing but a business transaction with a cold, unwelcoming approach. I will not be going back.
He's rude and impatient. Advertisements for drug companies cover his desk. He doesn't try to create a comfortable environment for his patient to share personal information about themselves. While his focus is solely on prescribing medication - not therapy - I can't see how it's possible that he only needs a five-minute meeting to prescribe medication.
If you are looking to have a long consultative visit to delve into your issues, wrong doctor. If you want a doctor who will listen to the facts and major details around your issue that requires psychiatric meds, he's great. Dr. Rudoy is prompt, which in my experience is a rarity in NYC.
Great bedside manner
He is professional. Not overly talkative or friendly... I waited less than 2 mins
The doctor was very professional, and listened to what I had to say with great care. When I asked him questions about medication, etc., he gave me his opinion and spoke with knowledge about my options. He is not a therapist - he wants to know about you, and who else you are seeing, and then get into the nitty gritty of medication, etc.
Just like the other reviewers, my appointment lasted maybe 10 minutes. If this is your first time seeking professional help for something psychological, this might not be for you. But having been down this road before, I appreciated Dr. Rudoy's straightforwardness. Also note: any payments must be cash or check only!
If you're looking for someone to massage all your problems in life over an hour long conversation, Vsevolod is not for you. If you like to be in and out with your prescription. He's the best.
Very understanding and thorough . Very happy with my visit.
Friendly, quick, and to the point.
I made the appt. through zocdoc because this doctor is close to my home and he accepts my insurance. I also filled out the insurance form online and his office confirmed. My appt. was at 2pm and I arrived at 1:30; the receptionist was on the phone with my insurance company because it seemed that the doctor did not accept my insurance even though it says he does on here. When everything was finally sorted out I was seen immediately. Dr. Rudoy asked me a few questions and I was in and out in with my prescriptions in about 10 minutes. Both the doctor and the receptionist are very rude. If you are looking for someone to at least pretend they care about your problems for 10 minutes before prescribing you something this is not the place for you, if on the other hand you are having a hard time and need something prescribed immediately I recommend Dr.Rudoy.
Dr. Rudoy is excellent- is very professional and always prompt!
Seems like Dr. Rudoy is more interested in filling prescriptions than anything else. Spent less than 2 minutes in his office before he gave me the script and sent me off. Very little interest in me. Also: THE OFFICE ONLY TAKES CASH.
Dr. RUDOY is very professional.
I've only had one appointment with him but he was professional, responsible and courteous. I felt comfortable talking to him and will continue to see him. His receptionist was very polite and helpful as well. No complaints!
Very professional & straight forward.
It must be understood before choosing Dr. Rudoy that he is a psychiatrist and NOT a psychologist. This is not a place to go and lay on a leather couch and talk about your problems. Dr. Rudoy knows medications very well and prescribes medications for psychiatric issues. That is it. He is good for a few minutes of banter, and does listen to your concerns. Individuals under the impression that a psychiatrist like this will solve your problems with "talk therapy" are misinformed. This is not a "pill pusher" by any means, but the man does his job and believes in the medications he prescribes.
Good for getting a prescription filled, but not if you want anything more than that
I went in for a prescription and that's what I got. I am not sure if my reaction is to Dr. Rudoy specifically or psychiatrists generally but he did not seem to ask very many questions or all that concerned with my responses. All in all the appointment lasted probably less than 10 minutes. It seemed very mechanical and routine. Again, at the end of the day, I got what I went for. It did bother me somewhat that there were lots of brochures for different drugs lined up on the Dr.'s desk facing me. Again, perhaps that's par for the course. This was my first appointment with the Dr.
Saw me immediately; friendly, professional and to the point. Be sure you understand the difference between a psychiatrist and a psychologist/therapist before you write a negative review.
Very nice office atmosphere. Doc knows his stuff but also listened to my concerns; appointment wasn't as long or intensive as I'd have liked as a first time patient but it was still overall a good experience.
I've only seen Dr. Rudoy for management of medications I've been taking for some time. He is affable enough but not terribly interested in talking about you. Like many psychiatrists his practice is primarily focussed on writing scrips and making bank. I would probably call my (out of network, out of state) old shrink in case of a major crisis.
Receptionist is pleasant and capable. Dr. Rudoy is very business-like,which is fine with me. Some patients want/expect to be coddled, but Dr. Rudoy conveys an air of knowledge, interest in your current state of mental health. He is realistic,to-the-point and no-nonsense. He meets my needs and fits the requirements of a PSYCHIATRIST(he's NOT a therapist) to a T. Glad I found him.
Always a pleasure
it went quite well .
Simple, clean and very nice staff
Dr. Rudoy was very attentive and friendly and I would certainly recommend him to anyone!
I voiced concerns over medication having addictive nature; he assured me by explaining details. Good psychiatrist; believes that people on meds should seek therapy in conjunction with medication. Friendly and helpful office staff too.
Very professional, hands on listened and tended to all of my concerns
He was very attentive and emphasized that getting me into best possible psychological shape would be the focus. He is NOT a therapist. He is perfect for someone that needs a medication regimen and a knowledgeable Dr to provide that.
Everything from the check-in process, the actual session to check out was smooth and pleasant. Highly recommended.
Dr. Rudoy was helpful, friendly in Russian style, and runs an efficient practice.
very pleased, excellent service
It was an very important one .
Nice guy, writes prescriptions fast, didn't talk too much about my problems but I was ok with it.
He is the best, great Doctor!
This guy is great, the only thing that I don't like is that the visits are so short...he seems like he wants to get right down to the point and give you what you need, which could be a good thing or a bad thing depending on the patient.
Everything went very good. Thanks a lot to Dr. Rudoy.
Not a fan of this doctor at all but it is hard to find a psychiatrist in NYC who takes my insurance.
The wait was a little over 30 minutes which was fine for me because I'm accustomed to clinics with hour long waiting. The waiting room was small but clean and bright and the staff was friendly. The doctor was friendly and approachable. I went for medication not therapy and I got exactly that. I didn't feel pressure to return arbitrarily as some other doctors have made me feel. I will definitely return.
currently looking for another doc
I am a regular. I like him because he is straightforward and he is keenly aware of my needs. Also, his receptionist is delightful. Some people here seem to be confusing psychiatrists and psychologists--which may explain some of the negative reviews that they didn't get to talk to him extensively. Well, if they want extensive "talk therapy," they should see psychologists!
My experience with Dr. Rudoy was pleasant- while being very direct, he was also very caring and made me feel comfortable. I highly recommend Dr. Rudoy.
Great for medication management. The receptionist was so very helpful with my insurance confusion. Although if you do need more of a counselor type I'd go elsewhere. He listened to my needs ad history and made good suggestions.
The man who is straight to the point.
Dr. Rudoy is an excellent and professional doctor. Thoughtful and patient, he truly understands my needs and finds the most helpful solutions for me. I am thankful to have found him through ZocDoc.
I got there 15 minutes early and the secretary was so slow with the paper work that Dr. Rudoy didn't take until 15 minutes after I was supposed to start. He is very straight forward and short. He'll ask you questions about you feel but won't offer any advice or help. If you need a prescription he is fine. Don't expect a warm personality or any sense of 'care'.
FIrst time visit. Just wish it was posted on your site that he only accepts cash or checks...not my TASC debit card for medical pretaxed dollars that is debited from my account. No credit cards so got a receipt and I will have to mail that in. Other than that..fairly quick and since I had been on med for years....no problem getting him to continue me on the medication. Only looking for medication management so works out fine for me.
I think he was great and I wish I was still with him
First, when I entered the office, I was greeted by the nicest receptionist I have ever encountered. Then, I saw Dr. Rudoy, whom I found to be exceedingly calming, supportive and "interested" in general. He really listens. Since this was my fist visit, he took his time getting acquainted, which I appreciated very much, and he periodically paused and encouraged me to ask questions and/or express my thoughts/feeling. The only thing, though, is that you will be sitting with other patients while you wait. I didn't really mind that, but I am used to offices where I don't see other patients--but, hey, this is NYC. The office space is limited! All in all, the visit was excellent, and I am definitely going back. Highly recommended!
he should pay more attention to the problem we are facing not trowing the medication only
what a rude man
It went well. I will go back.
not expectong medication management scene nor a pelimanary short "talk". Not the right match for my needs.
Hardly any time spent with patients. Basically just wants to get you in and out.
Good visit. Sat a little longer than I would have liked in the waiting room, but very helpful and nice. Will be going back for sure.
Great as always!
Very efficient Doctor. This was my first time seeing him and my first time at a psychiatrist. He made me feel comfortable, really listened to my problems and provided a solution and a follow up appointment.
Professional, helpful, knowledgable, and kind.
In the past some of our visits have felt rushed. But to be fair, I usually only come in for a refill. Today I had some concerns about my medication and the dosage. He talked to me about it and helped me out. He also made sure I made my regular appointment sooner than I would normally to make sure I had time to talk to him about the new medication and make sure it was working for me before I needed a refill. I appreciate the extra attention and time he took and will definitely stick with Dr. Rudoy.
Very friendy doctor. Seems very sharp. Assistant is very nice too!
Good bedside manner
he is not exactly "warm and fuzzy". he is very into prescribing medication, which is evident as soon as you are in his office because his desk is covered with promotional material for various drugs
I've been seeing Dr. Rudoy for a few months, and have been very happy. He has helped me treating a disorder that I was diagnosed with a few years ago, and has been great in trying different approaches and medication. I also like that he was considerate of drug prices/insurance rates and was able to work with me to find a treatment program that was affordable.
Maybe some people's style but certainly not mine. Didn't feel listened to at all. Recommended "more of the same" treatment despite my concerns/feelings it wasn't working.
It went well, but I would like for the doctor to ask more questions since he is a psychiatry.
He's a stoic buy measured guy. He asked run of the mill questions for 10 minutes and wrote me a prescription based on the conversation that ensued. It was fine; Neither good nor bad. If you're looking for an open, responsive ear- find a psychologist, he recommended a few. If you need someone thoughtful to find you an appropriate medication, Dr. Rudoy is probably a good fit for you.
Dr. Rudoy listened carefully to everything I said and was kind and helpful. He saw me right on time which I find very considerate because I didn't waste my entire day in the waiting room (unlike most other doctors' offices). His secretaries were a pleasure and I was able to schedule my next appointment promptly, on a date and time that works for me. Overall I was extremely pleased with my visit. Thank you!
First time here and first time going to a psychiatrist... Did not know what to except, but he was really helpful! I'm glad I had a chance to meet this doctor. He seemed to care about his patients, without setting it off a just pity. I was asked about family history, my history, and to take a brief test. After all is over and done with, Dr. Vsevolod would come to a conclusion and if there are issues that need to be worked on, he will help. Did not come across as a pill pusher at all (as I've read in previous reviews) he had asked me if I would consider taking medication .... That was a 1st for me. All in all good experience ! Hopefully my next appt will be just as good:)
Very nice staff, comfortable, clean office. Professional physician, can't see anything to gripe about.
Blatant pill-pusher. Takes no time to talk to you about your actual problems, just prescribes you whatever you want, which is okay if you have gotten prescriptions from a competent and careful doctor and just need refills. However, if you were having any kind of mental health problem or crisis, this doctor would be a disastrous choice.
dr. rudoy is the best. he is always happy to see his patients and addresses your needs promptly. highly recommended.
This was a classic high-volume psychiatry office that gets you in, gives you a free sample, and sends you out in less than 10 minutes. I went to these for a while because my insurance covered it, but learned after a while that, at least in NYC, quality psychiatric care is usually not covered by insurance. However, if you're suffering it is worth looking into those options and not relying on these kinds of offices.
I was late today due to train delays, and Dr. Rudoy was completely understanding and took me right away. He is kind, expedient, and very helpful!
Professional and to the point. Blessedly no wait time!
This was my first Psychiatry Doctor and maybe my expectations were too high, but I expected him to care. I saw him a few times, but I was probably in his office 30 minutes for 4 visits - combined. Most of the visits, I literally just walked in he, asked how I was, I told him, he wrote me a prescription and I left within 5 minutes. I didn't even have time to take my winter hat off! If you're looking for someone to actually hear you out, ask questions, perhaps get to the ultimate problem, this is not the doctor for you. If you're looking for someone to just give you drugs, then he's the man for you.
His office looked like a pharmacy, with literature about various drugs and samples spread out all over. Took about 15 minutes for an assessment and attempted to give me several drugs that did not seem appropriate for me. I have a background in mental health services and would not recommend this Dr. to friends or clients.
Excellent consultation. Crisp but kind, and very perceptive.
It was good and he is very professional
He's basically just a drug dispensary; he makes you come back monthly, which would be fine if he was treating you, but takes no interest in how you're doing. He'll book multiple appointments at the same time.
Extremely professional. He is very trustworthy. Office staff very friendly and helpful.
very professional very good experience I am planning on visiting the Dr again highly recommended
Attentive, patient, and very respectful.
I think he is very professional.
He's the best, always listens, gives suggestions but always let's you decide with careful consideration.
I had my first visit Dr Rudoy today; his staff was professional and very friendly and the wait time was very fast- I saw the doctor in less than ten minutes of arriving; right after filling out all of the usual new patient paperwork. I was impressed with his caring approach to my situation. He actually took time to ask questions, understand my previous medical history and discuss my background. I have a condition that requires medication and Dr. Rudoy approached my situation with caution but more importantly, concern for my best interest- I didn't think to bring my history with me for the appointment, and instead of just blindly writing me meds, he suggested a cautious approach that ensures I have what I need but also looks out for my best interest. Although this was my first time with Dr. Rudoy, I am not new to psychiatrists- I was with my previous doctor for almost 10 years. I came away from today’s appointment with the impression that Dr. Rudoy is caring, and I felt he actually listened to what I had to say. In looking for a replacement Psychiatrist over the past year, I have come across doctors who were only interested in writing a script and getting me out the door– with Dr. Rudoy, I didn’t feel rushed; he took time to recommend a course of treatment which we were both satisfied with, and planned a follow up visit in order to evaluate the effectiveness of treatment. He made sure that I was okay, didn’t have any questions, and understood everything before I left the room. I walked out of the office confident that I finally found the right doctor for me, and I will recommend him to anyone. I'm looking forward to my next appointment with him.
I was having some issues with my insurance, and the secretary was extremely nice and Dr. Rudoy saw me right away. He is helpful, informative, and really listens to your needs and experiences.
Dr. Rudoy was very professional. He answered all of my questions and I felt like he knew what he was talking about.
Doctor Rudoy is a very competent, no nonsense therapist. I've been seeing him for a while, and his medication recommendations were spot on. If everything in my mental state is good, my appointments are brief, just to see that I'm faring well, and all is copacetic. If I have pressing issues, I always get the extra time I need, and if I need to get ahold of him in an emergency, he is ALWAYS available, which is lovely in a NYC psychiatrist. I would recommend him to any friend, as his ability to separate pychiatric wounds that needs addressing, vs. brain chemistry issues than can be helped immensely through medication is wonderful.
He was terrific!
He is great. Very professional. Very kind.
He was nice, interested in hearing the problem, asked many relevant questions and seemed caring.
Efficient, professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. Takes time to ask and answer questions.
Really nice guy. Got right to the point, without seeming like he was in a rush. Very pleasant visit.
I am very happy. He is warm and knowledgeable.
He was horrible...All he wanted to do is prescribe pills to me within the matter of 5 minutes of meeting him. He didn't ask anything about me or try to help me. No care in the world just gives pills out.
Excellent. The reviews reflected my experience. Dr. Rudoy was highly professional and I left feeling confident about his determination.
Very professional, friendly and I would recommend him to my friends and family.
Fantastic doctor - kind, quick but very thorough. Highly recommended.
More like a drug rep than a doctor. Sat with me for 5 min and when he discovered I wasn't seeking medication suggested I find someone else.
Dr. Rudoy gave me the right combination of meds so I feel so much bettter now. He's a great psychiatrist.
I had two visits with Dr. Rudoy, and I will not be returning to see him despite the fact that he is in-network. His bedside manner was not particularly warm and I did not feel he was interested in me as a person. One time he also completely forgot our appointment and I was left waiting outside his office with only the slightest apology, and asked to call him another time to reschedule the appt. When someone is having a difficult time emotionally, this is hard to handle.
Dr. Rudoy is wonderful. He is extremely forthright, unobtrusive, kind and knowledgable. He makes you feel comfortable, and is not intimidating as many therapists tend to be. I highly recommend Dr. Rudoy to those who don't like doctors that beat around the bush and are honest.
In and out in two minutes. I know psychologists are not supposed to spend that much time but he seemed like he didn't even care.
Straight forward and honest approach. Made my appointments quick and pleasant.
my experience was good he listen to me he starts you on treatment right away it was a little rushed but overall pleasant experience.
Very professional and caring hard to find both qualities in a psychiatrist.
Dr. Rudoy was very nice and polite. He was thorough but also quick.
He was very quick to write out medication. He also interrupted me a few times and told me to go online and look for information on what I wad asking him. I felt as though he could have been more compassionate and not discuss insurance with me. Not to mention I was prescribed meds that have a lot of adverse side effects.
I feel so comfortable with the doctor. I made the right choice in comming to see him! Dr. Rudoy is the consummate professional!
Diagnosis right away. Felt rushed. Saw him for only 10 minutes wish that was longer. Going again soon to see
very professional and thorough.
He listened to my worries and concerns and took his time to assess me and pursue the appropriate course for treatment.
I was in with him for less than 10 minutes. He was quick to write me a prescription for an anxiety medication and barely listened or seemed concerned about any issues I attempted to raise. He's very cold. Not caring at all.Disapointing visit because I really need to talk to someone about my issues and was genuinely reaching out for help.I don't know what I'm going to do now.I don't think I want to go back if this is how he is.
My visit went well. I didn't wait at all. He asked plenty of questions, listened and was very helpful to my particular situation.
He was very professional.
Good doctor, who listens to you but i did feel a little rushed eventhough, was in for no more than 15mins.. The was no waiting time, so i guess sth has to give..
He's a very genuine & straight to the point person. I would definitely return and encourage others to visit his clean & accessible downtown location
He's matter-of-fact, efficient, and respectful. I couldn't ask for more in a psychiatrist.
No complaints, provided appropriate feedback. Will definitely see again.
great overall experience. got seen 15 mins early. doc was a bit brief, but courteous, receptive, and professional.
Very nice listed to what I told him.
When discussing that I had been attacked, he expressed his shock at the location of the incident as it was a "good area" rather than the effect on me. No bedside manner. It's a quick appointment with plenty of brochures for stimulant ADHD meds - if you want pills and not help this is the place to go.
It is not easy to write a review for a therapist. Anyway, I was asked too many questions, I was cut off answering them and I felt judged. I just don't want to go back, period.
Dr. Vsevolod was wonderful. He was very polite and understood everything I needed. I would recommend him to anyone.
Even though I arrived early to my appointment, I did not have to wait at all before seeing Dr. Rudoy. This was my initial visit, and I am very pleased with how attentive he was. I look forward to seeing him for future appointments.
I was very comfortable talking to Dr. Rudoy, and I'm confident he will be able to help me.
A little hard to understand.
Appointment time was very brief, I felt rushed.
He was very helpful.
I went to Dr. Rudoy because I was looking for psychotherapy and medication for anxiety. I didn't feel comfortable talking to Dr. Rudoy and after I told him about my anxiety, I didn't really feel he was sympathetic to my issues. I received my prescription but I didn't go back. I'm still searching for a new therapist.
I found Dr. Rudoy to be professional, straightfoward and sincere.
Very professional, and easy to discuss different medications and side-effects with him. Might seem a touch gruff at times, but I attribute it to cultural differences and appreciate the directness. Would recommend him to a friend.
He was good and professional
He is the right person to see i highly recommend dr Rudoy
Dr. Rudoy is a great psychiatrist. He is an excellent listener, very caring & considerate. Glad he is working in Brooklyn.
Always on point. Great patient experience everytime.
I met with Dr. Rudoy after undergoing treatment for bipolar disorder for about a year with a different doctor. Not only was the process of scheduling the appointment extremely easy and quick (thanks Zocdoc!), but I was ecstatic about how the appointment went. Dr. Rudoy was kind, helpful, listened to my (long) history, and set me on a new Rx course that I'm confident will help with my lingering issues. I couldn't be happier with how things went overall!
Dr. Rudoy presents himself as being very professional. Wait time was approximately 10mins. We weren't rush in any way. Took the time to explain the process over the next few months and MOST IMPORTANTLY, my son was very comfortable with him. Thanks Dr. Rudoy
He was very professional
Came across as knowledgeable and honest. Was able to diagnose my symptoms quickly.
The doctor listened to my concerns and was very understanding. I think I found my guy!
This doctor made me mad. he told me to go back to my old psychiatrist. NO MEDICATION WAS GIVEN OUT.
Dr. Rudoy was kind and understanding.
He was professional, attentive and helpful.
Great experience, highly recommend
I was so incredibly happy with my visit today. I was seen immediately. Dr. Rudoy is kind, patient and knowledgeable. I left my appointment feeling happy and excited that I've found my new doctor!
Too quick to medicate
He is very professional and has a great demeanor.
Pretty average experience.
I thought Dr. Rudoy was extremely friendly, attentive and thorough. I highly recommend him. I was very comfortable with him.
