Wendy Huang is an engaging and friendly pediatric ophthalmologist treating her patients in Brooklyn and New York City. Dr. Huang is an assistant professor of ophthalmology and faculty member of the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary. Dr. Huang received her medical degree from Rush University in Chicago, and she spent a transitional year at the Swedish Covenant Hospital in Chicago. She then completed her ophthalmology residency at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary before completing her pediatric ophthalmology fellowship at the Doheny Eye Institute with the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles.
Dr. Huang’s clinical interests are in pediatric eye conditions, congenital blocked tear ducts, pediatric glaucoma, pediatric cataracts, eye muscle disorders, and amblyopia. She provides services such as advanced glaucoma surgical techniques such as drainage implants, trabeculectomy, goniotomy, and laser treatments, eye muscle surgery, vision screening, adult and pediatric strabismus exams, glaucoma screenings, and lens implantation and post-surgical visual rehabilitation following pediatric cataract surgery.
