I'll admit I was a little skeptical when they called us asking for my Mom's insurance (as the appointment was for her) & said it was a Wal-Mart. I'm not a fan of this Wal-Mart having frequent it when I lived near it years ago. However, we were pleasantly surprised. Not only was the Doctor great but her staff was most helpful. They all were very friendly & helpful with my disabled mother. They didn't skip a beat in setting her up with a specialist for her cataracts. The only recommendations I have are minor: 1. Call the patient informing her/him beforehand if you're having trouble verifying insurance. 2. Let them know precisely how much the eye exam will be out of pocket. So, he/she can decide if he/she still wants to come. We were initially told one price by one person but we were charged another. Thankfully, we had the funds. Not everyone does, especially when he/she is expecting her/his insurance to cover it. Nevertheless, the visit was great despite its being surprised by having to pay.
