My appointment did not go as planned. I booked this appt about a month ago only to find out when I got there today that I was a month too early for my insurance to cover my visit.. I’ve been coming to this eye doctors for the past couple years and I even put my insurance on my online forms and verbally told them this twice in between my timeframe before my visit today. I was already upset about not being able to b seen but I think how I was treated by the front desk staff and assistant really disappointed me.. they were very short with me and when I tried to ask questions regarding my insurance the assistant ( she was in navy blue scrubs) yelled saying “ YOU WILL HAVE TO TAKE THAT UP WITH YOUR INSURANCE. THERE IS NOTHING ELSE WE CAN DO.” Just when I was about to let her know how I felt Dr. Gibson came out and was very calm and talked to me and gave me the exact answers I was looking for and needed. He then asked his staff to please book me an appointment before sending me away.. This is not the first time I’ve been treated poorly by the front desk staff.. Actually I’ve always been treated poorly but the only reason I haven’t left is because of Dr. Gibson... It’s hard to find good doctors who show a true concern for your health.. If you can look past the staff at the front Id recommend Dr. Gibson 100%... he is very kind, patient, knowledgeable and considerate. I appreciate how he treats me and that’s why I will remain at his practice regardless of who is at the front.
