So I went in for both a consult and a tooth extraction. Everyone at the front desk is incredibly personable, friendly, and all around approachable. I got in to see Dr. Patel quickly, without a hassle. My consult was fast, he barely looked at the tooth, just kind of stuck a popsicle stick in my mouth and glanced at it. I came in to have it extracted, he had the tooth out in less than a minute. No pain. However, his bedside manner is a bit lacking. He told me, “your teeth are bad. You need to learn how to brush”. I am on a handful of medications that dry my mouth out, which unfortunately leads to decay. It felt insensitive. I suppose I’d recommend him, but not for people who are sensitive and want a doctor who holds your hand the entire time. He was bouncing back and forth doing work in different rooms while I was being numbed, and I needed some reassurance from his assistant because he definitely didn’t give it to me.
