Dr. Chen is board-certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation with subspecialty training and board certification in Pain Management, Sports Medicine, and
Electrodiagnostic Medicine. Dr. Chen also has a PhD in Neuroscience and a New Jersey State MD Acupuncture certification. In addition to his work at CAMPR, Dr. Chen holds academic appointments at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) where he is a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and co-director of the Pain Management and Musculoskeletal Medicine Fellowship Program.
A distinguished physician, educator and medical scientist, Dr. Chen publishes and speaks widely in his area of expertise. His publications include chapters on spinal injection procedures in the textbook authority, DeLisa’s Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation: Principles and Practice, and articles on epidural steroid injections at Medscape.com. Dr. Chen frequently presents at national conferences, most recently at the 2012 Annual Assembly of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in Atlanta, Georgia.
