The decision to enter therapy is often fraught with uncertainty, and choosing the right therapist can feel overwhelming. I believe the most important element of
successful treatment is a strong connection between the client and therapist. Oftentimes uncomfortable thoughts or feelings affect one's pursuit of joy and creativity, or old but familiar patterns resurface in ways that feel stagnating. Together, you and I can work to uncover some of the roadblocks that moved you to seek therapy.
Using a collaborative, curious and nonjudgmental approach, I assist my clients in overcoming obstacles that impede personal happiness to bring about greater self-awareness and interpersonal satisfaction. While my experience is varied, I am particularly drawn to the treatment of substance misuse and of family members and loved ones affected by drug and alcohol addiction.
