Dr. Matorin has been certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology since 1997. He is one of the few, elite surgeons in the country that is Board Certified
in both Otolaryngology and Sleep Medicine. He trained as an Electrical Engineer at Rice University, before attending medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch where he was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society for academic excellence.
Dr. Matorin completed his residency training at Baylor College of Medicine. He performed research at several academic institutions including Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, UTMB, and at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center.
He is very active in the Harris County Medical Society where he has served in many leadership positions including Chair of the Board of Ethics and Board on Socioeconomics, as well as on serving on the Executive Board of the Medical Society.
