When you or a loved one is hurt, you want the best care. Deciding where to go isn’t always easy Sometimes, you may need care fast. But a trip to the ER may be
unnecessary. You may want to try an urgent care center. They can treat minor ailments. Chances are, you won’t wait as long as at the ER.
If it’s not urgent, it’s usually best to go to your own doctor’s office. Your doctor knows you and your health history. He or she can access your medical records. And, he or she can provide follow-up care or refer you to specialists.
Urgent Care Centers can have laboratories on site for immediate results of blood tests or have your blood drawn and sent to the lab. As well as X-ray capability for chest, arm,hand, foot, leg or shoulder we don't have Ultrasound, CT (CAT) scanners or MRI scanners.,
And when in doubt, call ahead. If the urgent care clinic in question can't accommodate your condition, they will advise you to go the nearest emergency facility. Remember, urgent care clinics are also a resource for physicals for sports , school , DOT and Workman’s Compensation.
1st Care Urgent Care is a division of the IMS system. If the electronic health record, if your Primary care provider happens to be in the system, they will have access to all the information from 1st Care Urgent Care.
