Dr. Steven M. Tillem received his undergraduate degree from the State University of New York at Binghamton in 1988. Upon graduation he was cited for outstanding academic achievement and was elected a member of the prestigious Phi Beta Kappa academic honor society. In 1992 he received his M.D. degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey-New Jersey Medical School. There he was cited for outstanding clinical performance and was elected to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. Following medical school Dr. Tillem completed six years of surgical and urological training at Long Island Jewish Medical Center. Dr. Tillem has been certified by the American Board of Urology and has been elected a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and is a fellow of the New York Academy of Medicine. He maintains memberships in numerous local, national and international medical societies. Dr. Tillem has been listed in the Castle Connolly guide “Top Doctors: New York Metro Area” and in US News and World Report "Top Doctors."
