I believe in working from a holistic perspective. Medication can be an important component in the treatment process however, often works best in combination
with therapy to achieve optimal health. The therapeutic models incorporated into my practice include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Psychodynamic Psychotherapy.
My client population includes individuals ranging from age 6 through adulthood.
Cognitive behavioral therapy is a form of therapy that puts emphasis on how our thoughts shape the way we perceive life. The essence of this modality is that we can take ownership on our own life even if the outside situation does not change.
Psychodynamic psychotherapy is a form of therapy in which the focus of treatment is to understand the patterns of behavior arising in context of a person’s psyche to alleviate psychic tension.
