Kristina Rodriguez Salaverry, DDS, MS, was awarded her dental doctorate from Columbia University’s College of Dental Medicine after receiving a Bachelor of Arts
with Honors from Dartmouth College. Dr. Salaverry was then awarded a Master of Science in Periodontics during her residency at Columbia University. Her Master of Science research examined the prevalence of periodontal disease in patients with advanced heart failure. Recently Dr. Salaverry published a paper entitled “A Dentist’s Role in the Treatment of Halitosis” in the October 2013 edition of the dental journal Compendium.
Dr. Salaverry specialties include evaluating periodontal risk factors, treatment of periodontal disease to reduce the risk of heart diseases, treatment of halitosis and esthetic implant therapy.
