Great staff. Very informative and knowledgeable.
Everyone in the office was very accommodating! I didn’t see Dr. Naymagon on this trip, but have made a follow up to see him soon.
In error, I showed up to the appointment a day earlier but he was able to squeeze me in and the level of service and professional he gave and was towards me was amazing. Top notch provider. Very passionate for what he does and is great at follow through. Highly recommend.
Overall very satisfied. Dr Cohen listened attentively to my concerns and offered alternative treatment options explaining the pros and cons of each. He spoke clearly and has a comforting communication style. He did not rush through the consultation and gave me the opportunity to ask all the questions on my mind.
He was excellent. A true professional.
Great! Very knowledgeable and experienced.
Dr Bharat is always very professional and personable during every appointment. He caught my appendicitis right in the beginning and I was able to have emergency surgery before it got dangerous thanks to Dr Bharat’s care. I highly recommend him.
Doctor is great. What really sucked was their borderline illegal software asking for social security and other things not required - software says it is optional but it is in small print and most people probably provide it. Also the system asks you to sign a bunch of terms and agreements that are in small print. One of them is agreeing to marketing from the software provider. Docs should know better than this.
I have been seeing Dr. Mohajer for 10 years now. I moved up to White Plains a few years ago, but I still will only see this doctor and make the trip in. You just don't see this kind of quality care in the burbs. I trust him 100%
He is a super nice guy. He get right down to business and try to figure out what’s going on with you. Highly recommended.
simply wonderful.
The doctor was very personable and listened to my concern. He is also (most importantly) very knowledgable and was not too in a hurry to run tests which were not needed.
Pretty pleased with the visit. The staff was nice and had a sense of humor. Dr. Eng was conversational but also to the point.
Nice and easy. Made me feel very comfortable.
Dr. Murray is one in a million. He is kind and compassionate and really wants to get to the bottom of things to help his patients to start feeling better. He has peers all over the city and country and can give you direction in any other area you maybe be having an issue in. I would highly recommend Dr Murray. Thank you for making me feel 1000% better.
I was in and out in under 35 minutes--allowing me enough time to get blood drawn and still make it back to work. The facilities were nice and the staff and doctor were professional and friendly.
The wait was bad. I came early to check in but I still have to wait an hour and a half. I was also nervous because the waiting room was dirty. The bathroom was dirty. Before I went in to see the doctor they put me right outside his office and you could hear everything thing the patient and doctor were saying inside which really made me uncomfortable. When I walked into Dr. Bhat's office it was like a whole new world. His office was immaculate compared to the waiting area. It was spacious and cozy. His bedside manner was incredible. He took his time with me even though my problem was not serious and it was getting late in the day. His information also fixed my problem and I haven't needed a follow up!
Very professional/friendly doctor and staff.
Very nice behavior. Understanding doctor. yet the place is very small, old and not modern. I hesitated to get into a surgery.
Dr. Dubrovskaya is kind, thorough, compassionate and really everything one would want in a physician. She takes the time to actually consult and treats you as a whole person (rare). I can't say enough about her and would highly recommend her to anyone needing a GI consult. I don't want to need to go back and see her but I sort of wish I could!
Stomach ulcers are open sores that may develop in the inner lining of the stomach, the upper part of the small intestine (duodenum) or the esophagus. These are commonly known as peptic or gastric ulcers.
When the stomach acids come into contact with the stomach lining due to a reduction of the mucous layer that protects the stomach lining from the digestive juice, an ulcer may occur. This type of erosion typically occurs due to prolonged use of anti-inflammatory drugs or due to a bacterium infection.
The most commonly experienced symptom of a stomach ulcer is abdominal pain or a burning sensation. This feeling of discomfort similar to one caused by severe indigestion would be more prominent between meals or when the stomach is empty. Pain caused by the presence of an ulcer is rarely constant and is often recurring in nature. This type of pain can last for a few minutes or go on for hours before experiencing relief.
Symptoms would also differ based on the severity and position of the ulcer. If a person is experiencing bloody stools or bloody vomiting, excessive heartburn, or continuous burping or acid reflux, this could be indicative of internal bleeding, which would require medical attention.
Diagnosis of a stomach ulcer may require one or several of the following tests:
We recommend that you ask your doctor about all dietary restrictions before and after conducting these tests.
Based on the test results, the doctor would further decide and discuss the best course of treatment. In most cases, ulcers can be easily treated by a physician. If you have not contracted the H. pylori infection, your physician may simply adjust your prescribed medications to control the amount of stomach acid and help your ulcer heal.
If you have contracted the H. pylori infection, your doctor might suggest a suitable course of antibiotics, along with other medicines to help cure your ulcer.
Once you have completed the medicinal courses as prescribed by the physician, he may rerun the tests to ensure eradication of H. pylori infection, as this is a contagious infection that can easily spread through consumption of contaminated food or water, or by coming into direct contact with an infected individual's bodily fluids or saliva.
The consultation and treatment costs for stomach ulcers might vary depending on your location, insurance provider and other factors.
