Elleni E Tekle graduated from University of Gondar, Ethiopia with a Bachelor of Science degree of physical therapy in 2006. After working as a licensed physical therapist in Addis Ababa Ethiopia for 3 years, she came to the United States to pursue further education. She had her education credentials reviewed and she took courses for her education to be equivalent to a professional degree of physical therapy in the US. She then enrolled in the transitional DPT program at Northeastern University in Boston and earned her Doctor of Physical therapy degree in 2013. Dr Elleni has gained experience in all age groups from pediatrics to geriatrics and has worked in different settings including acute care, inpatient and outpatient. Her clinical experience includes orthopedic, cardio-pulmonary, community-based rehabilitation and neuro rehabilitation. Elleni’s treatment approach incorporates manual therapy, different modalities, therapeutic exercises and therapeutic activities to help her patients improve their quality of life and restore and maintain functional mobility based on their personal goals. She also treats her diverse patient population with myofascial release, muscle energy technique, PNF, balance and proprioceptive re-education, sensory integration and kinesiotapping. In her spare time, Elleni, enjoys cooking, reading, watching movies, spending time outdoors and most of all having a quality time with her husband and her two adorable babies.
