About Nathan Rice
I help patients understand self-defeating patterns, develop saner ways of being in the world, and lead more satisfying lives. I specialize in the following areas: chronic anxiety and depression, addictive behaviors (alcohol/substance use and sexual compulsivity), relationship conflicts, toxic work environments and life transitions. My fee is $250 and many of my clients submit for out-of-network reimbursement to defray the cost. I believe that every client is unique so I strive to provide therapy that is customized to the individual. To that end, I'm happy to meet once a week, once every other week or once a month. I also value your feedback to adjust my approach as necessary to provide optimal and personalized treatment. Psychotherapy can be a significant financial and emotional commitment so it's important that the therapy relationship is a good fit. I'm happy meet for a few sessions to assess whether it feels right to you. If it does not, I can refer you to one of the many other skilled therapist colleagues that I respect and trust. I enjoy connecting clients with the right therapist whether that be me or someone else.

Patient reviews for Nathan Rice, LCSW
I first came to Nathan at a pivotal moment: I was tangled in a complicated web of lies, delusions, and projections. Outside the office, my life was total chaos. But during our sessions, Nathan offered extremely grounding, stabilizing perspectives that anchored me to reality. Through his guidance, I was able to remove myself from the centralized toxicity. After working with Nathan for over a year, I can say with full and complete confidence that my work (specifically regarding the sex and love treatment I initially sought) has transformed my life in the most positive, inspiring, and sustainable ways. Thank you Nathan!
In a relatively short period of time (a few months) Nathan was able to help me get some much-needed perspective on some issues I was having and imparted valuable tools for me to use in my every day life. Our sessions were productive and I gained a lot from the homework he assigned me from week to week as well. I was never good at talking about myself or my personal issues but he made me feel like it was a safe space to discuss. He was very patient and kind and I felt like he genuinely cared about me and my problems, I highly recommend Nathan Rice.
I have been very pleased with Dr. Rice. I have been seeing him for about a year now and continue to find him easy to open up to as he goes out of his way to be non-judgmental and empathetic. Highly recommend his services.
The prospect of seeing a therapist was something that made me extremely uncomfortable, but I was fortunate to have landed in Nathan's office. He put me at ease, and I found him to be a good listener as well as a source of insight. His approach was earnest and compassionate, and sensitive to my situation. I would certainly recommend Nathan to anyone struggling with their own problems.
Nathan was a great psychologist. He listened to the reasons I came in and guided me over our sessions to a deeper understanding of the relevant issues. He combined good listening with insightful comments.
