Qualifications and Experience
Sloan Kodroff graduated from Adler University with a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.Sloan has worked with a variety of presenting concerns in many settings.This includes outpatient practice, private practice,therapeutic day school, and community based services.His expertise is in treatment of existential crises through guiding others to find meaning and value in their life experiences. Sloan uses an integrative approach using Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical-Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Existential Theory to evaluate the purpose of various thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. He believes in a collaborative technique while working together to discover root causes for dissatisfaction in day-to- day life. Sloan then guides clients to explore opportunities to change their thinking and behavior patterns to impact their state of mind. Sloan has an adaptable approach to counseling that takes a person’s unique traits and customizes treatment accordingly.
