Qualifications and Experience
Victoria Nieman is a Licensed Professional Counselor. She graduated from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology with a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology. She also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Sociology from Indiana University. Victoria is a member of the American Counseling Association and the Illinois Counseling Association. Victoria has experience in a variety of therapeutic settings. At Presence St. Joseph Hospital Intensive Outpatient Program, she conducted group therapy sessions to a diverse population of clients in the treatment of anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, suicidal ideation, schizophrenia and personality disorders. She has worked in both individual and group therapy settings. Victoria believes in the mind-body-spirit connection and the powerful impact it can have in achieving maximum potential. She strives to provide holistically focused counseling, looking at various aspects of one’s life and tailoring treatment for individuals based on their specific needs. Victoria utilizes evidenced-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Mindfulness. She believes individuals have the potential to create meaningful changes with the support of an empathetic therapist. Victoria values the therapeutic relationship and provides guidance in a safe environment to foster maximum healing and growth.
