"I read a lot of negative feedback, but after much anxiety was pleasantly surprised with my appointment. I suffer from major depression disorder and have been battling with this for over six years. After getting past the initial rude guard at the desk downstairs and figuring out the whereabouts of the office, I sat down in the waiting room and a few minutes later was greeted with paperwork. I would definitely suggest arriving early if you're a new patient, because I had to fill out a lot of forms, some of which had been photocopied so many times that the edges were cut off. Regardless of this off-putting paperwork and the eclectic/outdated waiting room, I figured I'd at least continue and give it a shot. By the way, their office does not take credit cards, so I'm glad that I brought cash for my co-pay. Dr. Kremberg was direct, but knowledgeable and honest in his approach. He doesn't seem like the type of guy who will hold your hand and listen to your problems, but more of a pharmacologist who is there to manage your medications. I was happy with his assessment and although I did leave the office (which I believe doubles as his apartment, but he does have both a separate waiting room, home office, and consult room) with four prescriptions, they were mainly to ween me off of my current medications and onto just one pill. I have another appointment in a few weeks and will write another review, especially in regards tothe medication. I can't speak for other cases, but for depression, he seems like a good doctor with a solid working knowledge of the medications in the mental health industry."

"Unfortunately, I did not get a chance to meet with Dr. Fattal; however, the five minute conversation we had provided me with all the information I needed to pass on his services. I have never scheduled an appointment with a psychiatrist before. When I finally bitt the bullet and checked ZocDoc, there was only one doctor that matched my location and insurance criteria. Anxious yet optimistic, I booked an appointment. I received confirmation, and the day of I received a reminder for my appointment. Everything seemed clear. When I arrived today, twenty minutes early and extremely nervous, I sat for a while before knocking on the doctor's door. No answer, so I went back and asked the doorman if he was in. After a phone call with the doorman he came outside to meet me. Instead of greeting me and taking me into his office, he brusquely pulled me to the side of this residential building's foyer and told me that he needs to confirm the appointment, and that since he hadn't, he could niy dee me. Flabbergasted, I showed him the confirmation note I received from ZocDoc. He still blamed them, saying "This isn't how it works. You and I need to have a conversation before you come in here." I asked him if he had called me since I booked the appointment, and he said no. I explained out loud that if he failed to contact me, then it isn't in fact an error by ZocDoc; rather, he was ultimately responsible for this. At no point did he acknowledge a mistake on his end or apologize. My time was wasted because of his apparent incompetency. I don't normally write reviews for anything, but I think this is worth noting. I took a gamble on a doctor without any reviews yet on ZocDoc and was dealt a miserable experience. There was no empathy from Dr. Fattel - he didn't seem to feel any guilt or regret from his mistake - he just refused to see me. It takes courage to ask for help. Whether it's incompetence or lack of empathy, this is not how you treat people who are asking for your help. If you, like me, have never seen a psychiatrist before, Dr. Fattel is a lousy introduction. "
