After reading other reviews indicating that Dr. Prayaga's appointments essentially consist of his writing a prescription without spending much time discussing the patients' options, I knew what I was getting into. However, I was very upfront that medication was my last resort and that I wanted the lowest dosage as possible, and he was very understanding. Bottom line is: you need to be clear and ask for what you want. If you're there to get meds, he'll prescribe you meds. If you want to have a longer conversation and discuss several types of treatment, he'll indulge you. If not, he'll make the appointment as quick as possible. One criticism I do have, however, is that he never asked about my family history or my past experiences with medication, addition, etc., which is very important.
