What I liked: Dr. Ashraf was very kind and charismatic. It felt like he was really listening to me and he diagnosed what was going on with me! While I could have been given prescriptions for two medications and start them at the same time, the doctor advised to start with just one and to see how things work first, which I appreciate. He also answered all my questions and apprehensions about the medication. What could improve: - The wait was 1 hour and 40 minutes, however, which seems to be faster than the other reviews here, but still a long wait. My appointment was for 7:30 pm and I saw the doctor around 9:10. The visit itself was about 10-15 minutes, so the wait is too long for the actual visit. I wish the visit was a bit longer, but I think my diagnosis was pretty clear cut, so there was no need to extend it. - It also felt like Dr. Ashraf was quick to recommend medication. - The front desk, while polite (if you treat them with respect and politeness, they will do the same), was a bit slow to do things. For example, I needed a letter of diagnosis from the doctor, but this took about 20 minutes for them to print and give to me. Their slowness is understandable because there are too many patients booked, so there’s not enough staff to deal with the volume of patients. - DEFINITELY overbooked. There’s so many people trying to see Dr. Ashraf, which translates to long waiting times and a (understandably) slow front desk. Some patients might go over the allotted time for their appointment (30 minutes, I think) because it seems like the doctor totally hears them out and tries to best to help them if they need the time. While this is really great for the patient, it exacerbates the waiting times even more. Having worked in a clinic before with similar overbooking issues, I’m not sure who is allowing this to happen, but I wouldn’t blame the front desk. They are most likely following management orders to book as many people as possible to maximize revenue. Overall: If you can get over the long wait times, I feel it is definitely worth a shot with Dr. Ashraf, who has great bedside manner and wants to hear you out. If I have the time, I will definitely go back.

Can't say enough about such a positive experience. The physician really took the time to listen, ask relevant questions and possessed empathy I don't see often in the medical profession these days.

Knowledge and understanding
His secretary is absolutely horrible. You can call them five times with the same issue and they don’t resolve it. It’s completely ridiculous. I’ve been trying to get a bill from here to send to insurance and they are completely disregarding my request. The doctor him self is so nice but the secretary ruined it for me and I’m never going back and would never recommend this office.
I have enjoyed my visits with Dr. Altman & have found them to be most helpful and reflective.
I have been treating my illness since 2009 and have seen a number of Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Nurse Practitioners and variations of mental health professionals... Not. one. has come close to being able to really treat my illness the way Dr. Lohitsa has. When I met Dr. L, I was at an all-time low and had been off medication for months. He brought me back to life in a matter of weeks...a problem that in the past would have taken me months and months of work to reach, he was able to understand and treat in a matter of weeks (with a lot of hard work that we did together!). In my mind there is no one better in the biz than Dr. Lohitsa. He sees you as a whole person- beyond your illness. He is invested in your success, your health and happiness and I will never forget the way he looked at me in the emergency room at xyz hospital- not as the grey shell of a human being that was helpless and sick, but as a real person in need of help. With Dr. L's help, I've never been stronger and more myself in my entire life. I can not recommend anyone more. He is a true gift! Great very understanding and personable
Dr. Shelley is an all around class act. He's a rare breed of Physician that combines decades of experience with a hyper-sharp medical mind. He's patient, attentive, unbiased, and meticulous. He'll remember the most minute detail from several sessions back because he takes the time to study his notes.

Dr. Turecki is brilliant, and extremely effective at diagnosing remediating psychiatric issues.
