By that we mean, you don\u2019t know how many <em>more<\/em> patients would book appointments with you &#8212; if only they could with Zocdoc. <strong>And what you don\u2019t know is hurting your practice.\u00a0<\/strong>Ask your existing patients if they\u2019re familiar with Zocdoc, and they might say \u201cno.\u201d But this would make sense, since patients who <em>are<\/em> familiar with Zocdoc wouldn&#8217;t be in your waiting room &#8212; <strong>they would have booked an appointment online with another doctor.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>What&#8217;s important is that there are millions of doctor appointments booked on Zocdoc every year, which means there are potential patients out there who aren\u2019t finding you online &#8212;\u00a0<strong>and going elsewhere<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;re skeptical of why patients use Zocdoc, here are the top reasons:<\/p>\n<h1>1.\u00a0Consumers demand the convenience of online booking, and patients are no different<\/h1>\n<p>Traditionally, booking a doctor\u2019s appointment involved calling a doctor\u2019s office and speaking to a scheduler\/receptionist to arrange for a date and time. As simple as this may seem, there are many scenarios whereby a phone call doesn\u2019t result in a booking. In a January 2017\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.statista.com\/statistics\/666643\/preference-of-online-or-offline-hotel-booking-us\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">survey<\/a>, 88% of respondents said they preferred booking hotels online to calling. Increasingly, people use their smartphones and tablets to book; in response, many businesses create websites with reservation tools optimized for mobile.
