ZocDoc is a great concept but it needs some technical refinement. When my hip pain that I'd ignored for far too long became unbearable in the middle of the night on a weekend, I made an appointment to see Dr. Stidham 1st thing Monday morning through the ZocDoc website. ZocDoc confirmed the date and time with me at least 3 times before my appointment. Yet, when I arrived for my appointment the receptionist told me my appointment wasn't until 3 days later. But I definitely made the appointment for the day and time I was there (I have the email confirmations to prove it.) Here is where Dr. Stidham and his staff started to shine. The receptionist said she would see what she could do and had me take a seat. Less than 3 minutes later, Dr. Stidham's assistant called my name and ushered me to an exam room. So, not only did I get to see the Dr. when they didn't have me down for an appointment, but I didn't even have to wait long! Now, I know what you're thinking: Big deal, he took a walk-in, doctors do that all the time. Right? I get it. And if that was the only notable occurrence during my visit perhaps it wouldn't warrant this review. But wait, there's more. I could tell the doctor had a full schedule because the reception area was pretty full and any staff-member I saw was moving with a purpose. When Dr. Stidham walked in he got right to work, but was in no way rushing through the exam. After talking to me to get an idea of what was going on with my hip, he manipulated my leg while I gave him feedback about my pain. He only needed a few seconds to tell me what he thought was the source of my pain. Now, everyone knows doctors' diagnoses are usually, if not always, educated guesses. But what I really appreciated about Dr. Stidham was, although he was very confident in the diagnosis, he was quick to say the diagnosis may be wrong. He had me get an x-ray (from the awesome, super-nice x-ray technician down the hall) which confirmed his diagnosis. But he took it a step further and ordered an MRI to make sure he wasn't missing anything. He went over what my treatment options were and explained what to expect with the different treatments. All the while he made sure to answer all my questions. To sum it all up Dr. Stidham is extremely knowledgeable, thorough, systematic, and professional. What more can you ask for?

I knee surgery September of 2014 with Dr. Faryniarz and she is awesome!! If I could give separate reviews for her and her front office staff I would give her 5 stars and her office -20 stars. I did not have insurance for this procedure so she had let me know that there was a foundation that could help me with the cost and her office manager told me they would do everything they could to help me out. I left my email address with them before I left and also paid for the visit. I was supposed to receive an email with the application for the foundation and it was about a week after my appointment and hadn't gotten anything. I had to call at least 3-5 times to finally get an email only containing the link to the foundations website. I was really annoyed that it took them a week to only send me the the website link, when they could have given me that information while I was in the office. I had no issues with the foundation covering the cost of my surgery fees, and had an email from them saying they would cover my first visit costs. I let the person at the front office know that the foundation would cover that cost and she put a note for the office manager to put that through. My surgery came and went and I had no update about my refund. On my post op visit I reminded them of this and another note was written for the office manager. On my last post op visit a couple of months later I still had no update on my refund so I reminded again and was told the office manager was out on vacation and would be back the following week and she would call me. I asked if the refund could just be sent to them and applied to my bill, but was told no and that the foundation would send me the money. I waited 2 weeks and no phone call. My mom had gone by the office to make a payment for me because I was back to work full time and she asked about my refund and was told the office manager was on vacation again. I waited another week and needed a note from her office saying I was okay to go to my gym. While I was there I attempted to ask about my refund and was cut off mid-sentence to be told she would be back in a few days and to "give her some time". I asked if it would be easier for me to contact the foundation and was told not to. A week later no contact from the office. I started calling and leaving messages only to have them not be returned or just a message saying to call them back, no actual information. After a couple of weeks with no response to my voice messages, I contacted the foundation. I was told that they have not received anything from Dr. Faryniarz office and she told me what was needed. I started emailing her office at this point to have some written proof. I told them what was needed. I contacted the foundation to make sure the information was sent, and it finally was! A few weeks later, I had not heard from Dr. Faryniarz office so I sent an email asking for an update. They had the refund but the check was in the doctors name and they didn't know what to do I guess. I asked if they money could just be put towards my bill and was told that they would check with "billing". 2 weeks later I had not heard from them again and emailed for an update. I took a few days for them to email me back and was told that they had talked to billing the day before and that they applied the money to my balance and I would be sent a receipt in the mail. It took 2 weeks to talk to billing to get a response in a day. I asked the foundation how much the refund check is and they told me it is less than half of what I paid for my first visit. I have been emailing Dr. Faryniarz office for the last 3 days with zero response, it has been a week and I still have not received a receipt in the mail for the transaction. It has been over 6 months since my surgery and since I have been asking for this. I'm sorry but, this is horrible customer service, the worst I have ever experienced anywhere.
