She explained my lab result well, she listened to me without rushing, she always asked if I had any questions she needed to know, and she made sure all my lab results were clear to me.

Dr Henson is calm and orderly. She does what one would expect. I do wish however that she and the office would be more proactive in terms of referrals to specialists. Handing me a piece of paper with phone numbers was not helpful as the numbers I dialed did not even answer their phones. I think a primary care doctor needs to have strong relationships with specialists in order to get patients additional care in a timely manner. In my case, I called the billing office of the specialist in order to get transferred to a person who could make an appointment. And then I was told that I would not be getting that appointment for at least eight months! I believe that is Dr Henson or her staff were to make those calls on my behalf, i would definitely be seen sooner. Dr Henson needs to be more of an active advocate for her patients.

Appointment was on time, the office staff was very nice and professional and the doctor took her time and I was not rushed. This was a very good first appointment.

I was pleasantly surprised at the time Dr Henson took to talk with me about my concerns. Not normal for a primary. I am excited to partner with her to finally get in the road the healthy! I’m actually considering using her for other needs and getting rid of other doctors....
