About Dawn Newbry

Dawn Newbry is a dedicated Family Nurse Practitioner with over 16 years of experience in healthcare. She began her career as a CNA while attending nursing school, then spent 12 years as a bedside RN, including six years in the ICU. For the past three years, Dawn has been practicing as a Nurse Practitioner in both Family Practice and Urgent Care settings. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Clarkson College in Omaha, Nebraska, and her Master of Science in Nursing with a Family Practice Specialty from Chamberlain University in Chicago, Illinois. Dawn is passionate about preventive care and patient education, striving to empower individuals to become the healthiest versions of themselves. She has a particular interest in cancer screening and early detection, believing strongly in the power of proactive healthcare. One of the most defining moments of her career was working in a COVID ICU during the height of the pandemic. Despite the fear and uncertainty, Dawn and her colleagues became a resilient and resourceful team, adapting to constant changes and limited resources to provide the best care possible. Her philosophy is simple but powerful: “Eat real food and go for a walk every day.” She believes that diet and exercise form the foundation of good health and encourages her patients to embrace these habits. Originally from the Midwest, Dawn fell in love with Colorado during family ski trips and eventually made it her permanent home. She now lives here with her husband and two children. As a family, they enjoy camping, hiking, skiing, and traveling. Dawn also loves cooking, reading, and staying connected with her mom and sisters.

I was on time for my appointment, but while waiting to check in, the MA came into the lobby stating loudly that ‘Dawns 9:45 is late, so I’ll take you now’. It’s really frustrating. Love Dawn. Not a fan of having to wait an extra hour for an appointment I was on time for. I guess I’ll have to plan on coming an hour early like the person who got taken back before me.
Only issue was with Zocdoc when I searched for menopause appointment it suggested the PA i booked with which was not what she was able to do. The app should filter that out

My husband actually found her Arizona appointment and raved how well she was a tenant and listening and went over everything of his health. I two was pretty impressed to find someone very personable. Dawn Newbry and her entire staff were so amazing from before I even got to my appointment. Dequan (I hope i'm spelling his name correctly) called me beforehand to verify insurance with me and some other things and also gave help on how to get to their office- which is very easy to find! Sarah, the nurse who took my vitals and ended up giving me a shot- was so sweet and knowledgeable and kind. Dawn Newbry gave me hope for the first time in weeks while dealing with an intense muscle spasm and made me feel heard, seen, and understood with similar personal experiences of her own. I just moved to Colorado and have been nervous about finding a new pcp, but I feel the universe has truly blessed me with this practice. I cannot say thank you enough.
