Getting to know Susan Russo
I feel inspired to help individuals figure out how to manage challenges they are facing and learn new skills to handle changes occurring in their lives so they can feel more in control. I hold a Master’s in Counseling Psychology from California Lutheran University, which has equipped me to support clients effectively through their journeys.
What should a new client know about working with you?
I use a person centered approach to make sure that my clients feel understood, heard, and validated. I make sure to create a safe space for individuals so that they feel secure in opening up and working on issues that they are struggling with.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
I build a strong and therapeutic alliance with my clients through open and honest communication and creating a safe space for clients to share and explore their challenges and struggles.
Out-of-pocket fees and assistance

Ongoing session: $125 for 60 minutes
- Files your insurance claim: You pay the session fee upfront and the provider files the claim for you, so you can get reimbursed directly without worrying about the paperwork
- Charges post-reimbursement amount: This provider will only charge you for the amount you pay after you get reimbursed from your insurance plan, so you don’t need to pay the session fee upfront

I have built a strong relationship with Susan. Sometimes it takes time to find the right provider that you are comfortable with and have a great rapport. I "broke up" with several therapists prior to finding Susan
