Getting to know Takiyah Jones
Hello and welcome! I’m Takiyah Jones, a double board-certified nurse practitioner dedicated to supporting the mental health and well-being of children, adolescents, and adults. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, and post-traumatic stress disorder. Through a holistic and personalized approach to care, I seek to help my patients thrive.
With my diverse background, I’ve had the privilege of caring for the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual needs of individuals, families, and communities. I prioritize a patient-centered approach, value collaboration, and empower my clients to overcome challenges.
I hold a Doctor of Nursing Practice and a Post-Masters Certificate specializing as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from Georgia State University. I also earned a Master of Science in Family Health Nursing and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from South University in Savannah, GA.
I’m here to guide you toward lasting wellness and look forward to partnering with you on your journey to better mental health.
ADHD Treatment Policy: Foresight requires validated, objective ADHD testing before initiating or continuing stimulant treatment. Previous testing and records from outside providers may be accepted following clinical review. If testing is needed, Foresight offers IVA-2 ADHD testing as a self-pay service.
What should a new client know about working with you?
I am deeply committed to patient care and making a meaningful impact on those struggling with psychological challenges. As a dual board-certified NP, I take a holistic approach to care, recognizing the connection between mental and physical health. I am passionate about improving access to quality mental health care and ensuring individuals receive compassionate, evidence-based treatment. My goal is to meet people where they are, providing support, guidance, and healing while addressing barriers to care.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
I tailor my approach by building therapeutic relationships with each patient, listening to their goals and values. I assess their unique needs and involve them in setting collaborative treatment goals. I respect patient preferences for care, which includes making adjustments that align with cultural beliefs. Open communication and scheduled check-ins ensure the treatment plan stays aligned with their needs, while respecting autonomy.

More information on payments and coverage
By scheduling this appointment, I attest to the following statements as part of my care agreement with Foresight Mental Health:
ADHD Testing: I understand that validated, objective ADHD testing is required before initiating or continuing stimulant treatment at Foresight. I acknowledge that external records must be reviewed and approved, and that Foresight offers IVA-2 testing for a self-pay fee if needed.
Medication Management: I understand that the decision to initiate, continue, or adjust medication will be made by the psychiatric provider following a full clinical assessment and is not guaranteed.
Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT): I am not seeking MAT services (e.g., Suboxone, Methadone) for opioid use or withdrawal, as these services are not offered by Foresight.
Suicidal Thoughts: I confirm I am not experiencing active suicidal thoughts with intent or plan. I understand that if my symptoms indicate a need for a higher level of care, I may be referred to more appropriate services.
Telehealth Access: I have a stable internet connection and a private space for telehealth sessions. I also have a backup option (such as a phone or hotspot) in case of internet issues.
State Residency: I confirm that I currently reside in the state where I am seeking care and will be physically present in that state at the time of my appointments. I intend to remain in that state for at least the next 30 days to support continuity of care.
No-Show & Late Cancellation Policy: I acknowledge Foresight’s 48-hour cancellation policy and understand that late cancellations or no-shows will result in a fee of $125 for therapy or $150 for psychiatry. I understand that repeated violations may result in discharge from care.
Custody Documentation: If seeking care for a minor, I acknowledge my responsibility to provide current and accurate custody documentation if applicable. I understand that providing false or incomplete information may affect the child’s care and result in liability.
